They can be a Hoot, We had a great 4 man group all with a warp sense of humor. so it makes it fun no attitudes( even with a BMW GS Rider) and a willingness to help out if needed. The route that was laid out was the only disappointment. But it was in Indiana. I have found that (My Opinion) The Dual Sport Club's, "Made up of Woods Riders" that think that Big Adventure Bikes have no place other that a occasional graded gravel road. They do want the $$$$$$ from a growing segment of the motorcycle world that ride the big expensive ADV bikes. They are now including a Adventure route with there weekend dual sports events. Some events have challenge section for advance riders but some just have some gravel and mostly country asphalt. It's really hit and miss. Southern Ohio has great Adventure stuff for everyone. March Moto Madness in Tellico Plains, TN. is the Benchmark event on this side of the USA.

Trip Completed, No issues, It was OK, 750miles total. Adv Route was a soft country ride in Indiana, nothing like what we have here in Ohio so I won't be going back. Only one short muddy section into the woods and back out. the rest was mostly asphalt. Before/After Photos with some mixed in.

1090 is the shit. It is so refined. It feels like 300 lb. Bike. They have them in Wauseon, ohio at championship power sports. They have huskys too. Good luck. No cops today, i was not leading and the ktm 1090 Guy just picked the bike up thursday so he was getting use to it.

Easy Anton Mang, I had a RD350LC in Germany but remember the group will pull 3-5 lengths(est) on a 15sec straightaway. Heavy D will be overtaxing the Tires/Suspension and will be parking it in the corners. There is a manual trick used to drop fast passing riders on the outside going into the corner by politely tapping on the their hand grip that can be useful. In any case he will have fun and I won't be. I can only dream on being young again. Tell him to "Twist of the Wrist" his fork eating hand behind his back at the dinner table and he will have increased his lap time in a very short period. Good luck Tracksters!

No, I am to late to the dance. I made plans to ride over to southern Indiana for a two day Adventure Ride. Leaving Friday, return Sunday. My VS is now set up for Off Road-ish play for the rest of the year. My friend has a KTM 1290 Super Adventure and is a great rider, We will be roosting up the back roads and acting foolish. You all have fun and speed safe.

From one large man to another, I am really looking forward to seeing you on a xr100 in full lizard suit on the track. Can you say "Backmarker"
-
Doc, By next year you could be relaxing doing this and enjoying the views. Nothing but road surface irregularity's and a little water.

Replaced the OEM Bridgstone battlewings today for a set of Mitas Eo7 Dakar's for the Adv ride this weekend. The rear 502 has 3 months/4221 Miles and not much left on the center for any gravel/dirt traction. O yea, I mowed the lawn also.

Next time, Oct/Nov is great adv riding time.

Ride Saturday Route and return home on Sunday. Leaving Friday 1300 Lancaster, Oh. Route 22. Anyone is welcome to join in. Should be a Buffalo Wild Wings Friday night tossing back a few. I was able to get out on the Gravel and Chip roads around me for 145 miles today before it got too hot. Hope everyone enjoyed a great day of riding.
-
Well I am going to bail out on this asphalt excursion and do some ADV riding on the back roads with a mixture of gravel and chip since we had some rain there should be minimal dust. Any of the up and coming ADV riders on O.R. want to join in let me know.

There is good and evil in the world. When there is less good, evil will quickly fill the void. Guaranteed. it's been going on since the beginning all over this wonderful earth. Outlawing Bump-stops will not do anything to prevent this. Nor will 55mph speed Limits. They kill that many in one month up in Chicago with very strict laws. http://heyjackass.com/
