I escorted Doc to Hocking Hills after skipping the meal in Caldwell. I Hope he made it to his destination, He seem tired. I went to dinner later and could have sworn I saw Doc with a pack of Harley Pirates at a local watering hole. He had a Vest on with "Property of Neil Ubich" and his new biker name on the front was "Love Doctor" I hope he comes back to us soon. I would hate to see him operating a Aid Station at Sturgis next year.

You are my personal highway strength trainer. Doc, I enjoyed the ride home to the Hock. Got home splashed water on my face and drove the wife to Lancaster for dinner in the car like a madman. my sense of speed was still on 78.

Last time I lead a ride I guided Jschaf down some unexpected route diversions to include a small water crossing and farm animals. Old people get misplaced often when they decide to disconnect from what is now considered normal life. I just can't get this "Maps-to-GPS" thingy to xfer correctly.

Took a spin around my neighborhood in the Hock area. 328,56,278,691,595,93 all wet this am but many have grass and dirt from the ROW mowing that's getting completed before the fall deadline. this should be washed off for the week end and will open up the roads a little. Derek's corner at 56/356 is not finished yet but they are working on it. again I asked for more run off and sand traps but they just looked at me with that bent head tilt look. 52 sec clip of intersection.

Long story but Friday and Sunday sure look like great riding days to me.

Eclipse Trip: Wife and I took a few days’ to ride, ”Slow” down thru Kentucky to Crossville, TN. area to view the Eclipse. We traveled on curvy back roads most of the time until we were returning home trying to out run the thunderstorms that slammed us around McArthur, OH. First night was in Slade, Kentucky with pizza at Migules. Next day we followed the (KAT) route south staying on the asphalt down past Jamestown, TN. near Crossville, TN. It was hot and traffic was picking up so we headed back into the forest with tree cover and Mountain rocks that were wet to stay cool while we waited for the Moon thing. After the event we stopped by the former secret town of Oak Ridge grabbed a snack and headed back on the (KAT) route to Jellico, TN. and spent the night at Pine Mountain State Park Lodge. Next morning we started heading home still trying to stay on the back roads to stay cool but still try to beat the storms. We had a great time. I love the asphalt back roads of Kentucky. Good luck and stay safe in the classroom Durk. I will try to ride 536 for you and keep the preferred line clean. I had a math teacher back in 72 that had the new 4 stroke Kawasaki Z1 900cc. That was a bad ass bike back then and as a 14YO dirt bike rider I thought that was so cool. I cut him a lot of slack in class and behaved for the most part in between boners.

278N is fun with a few blind Jumps and Curves. There are a few residential driveways so clear the view before launching. I normally depart Nelsonville and stay on 278N to right on 595N just past Carbon Hill. 595N into New Straitsville is fun then right on 216 to Murray City left on 78N to Glouster, (Fuel) and then you must decide 329S to Trimbel and Amesville at 550. or 78E. Just a change to the routine.IMHO

If you are going to trail ride get a single. If you want to run adventure? Man The Fuck Up, 90-100 HP is required. Anything less, We will be waitting on you and that shit gets old after day three.
