  1. When a guy cooks for me it's like Christmas. Seriously. It can be fish sticks and pop tarts but if I didn't have to make it, it's the best thing ever.
  2. I decided to go ahead and have them replace the whole deal this time even though the chain and drive sprocket were still relatively ok. I might have saved myself a few bucks doing it myself but I'm just not there yet and It was worth it to have her done sooner. I'm more than willing to let someone help replace my fork seals, though, lol. Will cook or bake for moto help! The thing is, I'm not an expert by any stretch. I consider myself an intermediate novice who's learning. But people /always/ assume I know less than I do about bikes and it gets old quick sometimes.
  3. I'm not really too bothered by it. There's a difference between ignorance and discrimination, and very rarely do I feel discriminated against. And attitudes have come a long way in just the 6 years I've been riding.
  4. Why, why, why would you not wear a helmet? I'm sorry this happened. I'm sorry every time this happens.
  5. Still here. Looks like we might be almost done? Not sure.
  6. Cool beans! It's worth noting that the rest of my experience here has been really great. Aside from the one blunder everyone's been really professional and they're doing a couple freeby things which is always nice.
  7. I'm still pretty ignorant about sprockets; I just know they're better when they have all they're teeth lol. I consider myself an intermediate novice about bikes and I'm thrilled to get to know more. But right now I just needed to get the thing fixed so I could get back out there. Speaking of which, when we riding again? :-)

    Sigh

So I'm here at Iron Pony trying to replace my sprocket which is a custom mod and they don't have that exact kind in stock. I knew they probably wouldn't. The mechanic pulls me aside and says "you might want to call him and tell him we don't have that part but this one will work just as well." "What? Call who? It's my bike." "Oh, uh, well..." My life every day as a female motorcyclist.
  9. Never quit mowing the yard hallway through. Even if your phone has died and you have no more music to listen to. It's officially the worlds hardest task to start up again
  10. I wonder if the national birthplace if hipsters is whatever this was called before it was coolville.
  11. Mount Sterling area, out by deer creek. But as for this ride, I was just reminded I have tickets to a soccer game so I won't be able to go anyway. Oopse
  12. Haha I thought the same thing.
  13. Ha, yeah I was going to take her somewhere since I've never done a sprocket before and didn't want to waste time figuring it out at the height of the riding season. Although, it appears I don't even have time to take her somewhere :-P
  14. I wish I could. I'm sure I won't have my sprocket finished by then though and it definitely doesn't have another ride in her before I get that thing changed out.
  15. Welcome! Glad to see another cbr
  16. That's neat! Sorry I have nothing more helpful to ad lol. But yeah...cool!
  17. I almost peed myself laughing after I read this haha
  18. Definitely the name tags, I wondered about those but didn't think to ask. I'm terrible with names and forgot nearly everyone's except tall Tracy, who -is- her name lol.
  19. The fuses. The fuses were good. Anyway it was awesome to meet everyone! I had trouble keeping track of people's screen names and there were several people I didn't get to meet. Boooo. Thanks again Helmutt for leading it was a lot of fun, and AJ for pointing out my eaten up sprocket lol.
  20. Sometimes I put "drink coffee" on my to-do list just so I can mark something off.
