  1. It works great at making the highway look like something out of a third world county.
  2. That's about all Fat Tire is good for.
  3. I know that this isn't in Ohio but I thought I would share since some of you might take I-70 to Indy. The stretch both EB and WB of i_70 between mile marker 145 and 135 in Indiana is horrible. Almost dangerous horrible. It is new asphalt but something went wrong when they laid it. Potholes all over the place, sides and center are crumbling and cracks all over the lanes. Make sure you can see what is coming up. It looks like an overbaked brownie.
  4. The AS15 that I have does two levels of slow mode, 120 and 170 degree FOV, 720P 30/60 FPS, 1080P 30/60FPS, Steadyshot, you can use your phone as the remote and it is a backlit CCD. The new version is GPS enabled so you can see route and speed info.
  5. I have both cases for it. They came out with a new case. it is water resistant but it allows better sounds AND you can access all the buttons. It is both slimmer and lighter. I use this with our "aerospace-grade" velcro or my slim suction cup mount. My fav sport is on top of the front fender. If you want I can send you some pics of my set-up.
  6. Really really easy to do. Just take out the plastic pieces if any, set oven temp and put knife in at the proper temperature for a set amount of time. You can find the charts online for what color you want the titanium to turn. It is actually creating a layer of titanium oxide. Works awesome for titanium bolts and hardware. You can also do it with electricity it you want multiple colors on the same part.
  7. I have a Sony HDR-AS15. For the price the picture quality is much better than GoPro. I bought a helmet mount and bike mount for cheap on Amazon. It works really, really nice and pictures at 1080p/60FPS with steadyshot on are amazing. I paid about $220 for everything.
  8. Lemon Pledge. Makes it smell nice, too. What I need is a solution for white textile.
  9. If anyone wants to see an example of obscene police spending check out small regional airports. Dayton "International" is a prime example. Also it has been explained directly to me by a member of the airport police that the plate scanners are used in hope of finding individuals with warrants.
  10. There was a story about this last week on Gawker I think. A reporter got a copy of the times her plate had been "auto-scanned" via a FOIA request in Virginia. It was scary enough that it was kept in a database but also that her every movement had been tracked. Unfortunately this isn't completely a government "overreach" thing but a corporation lobby issue and police departments having a lot more spending cash thanks to the DHS. I'm sorry, but Roscoe P. Coltrane does NOT need a radiation detector for his car. Our police should be out there protecting and serving...not "fundraising" through tickets. I can go on forever on my opinions but our LEO community is becoming totally out of touch with the community they serve. We are no longer treated as citizens but potential criminals. I got pulled over this winter for running a stop sign on Barnhart in Troy. I actually slid through it because the road crews did such a splendid job at clearing the roads of ice. When I tried to explain that to the officer he told me that my ticket will go to help future plow purchases.
  11. Only if you washed them down with a swig of tequila.
  12. Sounds just like my old '82 Kaw 750. I'd honestly be more worried if you COULDN'T hear a tick.
  13. I only use my horn when my fingers are busy with the levers.
  14. Just leave it as is. I'm sure it will sound awesome.
  15. It takes more than five jumbo margaritas and a six pack of Pacifico for that to happen.
  16. Hocking Hills and zipline adventures. Done.
  17. This was the series of questions in order after the dyno run... Q-what kind of bike it that? A-An Aprilia Q-Like a Ducati A-No, its an Aprilia, like a Lamborghini isn't a Ferrari Q-What size engine? A-Liter Q-So what did it do on the dyno? 70Hp? A-Try double that. Q-Out of a liter v-twin??? A-Its expected when the engine can rev past 7K. Q-What does it rev to 8K? A-13K
  18. I just now noticed that...I live in Troy, work in Vandalia. I was on my Tuono when I happened. My pipes do the job. I have a great video of a dyno run at The Flats where in the background you can see the cruiser riders staring with a look of disbelief.
  19. The track has a new viewing mound inside of the essess (turn 15 &16) before the main straight. Traditionally the most action has been near that section of the track and the layout has changed so more speed can be achieved. The majority practice starts are usually done there at the end of each practice prior to going into the pits. if you want to check out the track prior, the Indianapolis GP (Indy cars on the road course) will be held on Saturday, May 10th. The GA tickets are only $25. It will be an 82 lap race so plenty of time to walk the track.
  20. he probably thought I was going to be speeding. We know Harley's aren't suspect of that.
  21. I am an Indy native and have been to every GP race in every section... If you are going for the first time I highly suggest that you do GA for Friday and Saturday and buy reserved for the race on Sunday. The top of the stands in the north section of H or top of the stands in the south section of J are the best seats in my opinion. Spend Friday and Saturday wandering around and watch the race in the stands. Why reserved seats you ask/ Simple...they get you access to the track lap and pit pass. If you call the group sales reps directly for the Brickyard they will usually just give you the group ticket prices and you can get the entire package for usually $115-120 for the entire weekend. The track layout has changed slightly for this year mostly are the beginning and ending sections. While you are in Indy be sure to check out Motorcycles on Meridian on Friday and Saturday nights and go the Indy Mile if you've never seen flat track racing. Good times. Good times.
  22. I apologize if I woke any of you from your slumber in Troy. I forgot to put the baffles back in my exhaust from last night. The sheriff when he pulled me over this morning at 0600 said I should apologize to my neighbors. Mission accomplished.
  23. I think I might. The combo of Tuono and WR250R shall help me fill up my license with lots of points!
