Here's to hoping to see him on a bike again soon. Apparently never sold his gear, I'll take that as a good sign!

I think those had a high mount exhaust, can't find where it is on Marc's. Still could be a 50 though. Whatever it is, amazing to see a world champ on 300 hp bikes getting some fun out of running a little one.

Can anyone tell what he is riding?

I plan to be there June 6-9. Fontana sounds great.

Ooo, good point.

If you let us know when Issac is going to Mid-O, I'm sure some of us more regular attendees, if not coaches, would be happy to share a pit with him and whatnot. Leave the coaching to the professionals of course, but I know the first time I went (by myself, didn't know anyone) it was an extra bit of nervewracking and seeing a friendly face waiting after your session is nice.

Cool, I'm not in that loop. I did not see him lead the morning meeting a couple times last year, makes sense if hes not coaching. Thanks.

Typical internet.

Pretty sure Mike Maleckar lurks on here occasionally.

I got my 1999 XR ready to race for $950 three years ago. The newer CRFs are better (fresher engines mostly I think) but I am competitive on mine. I'd look to spend close to $1300-1800 for a newer CRF set up ready to go. They are posted up for sale on the OMRL Facebook page pretty regularly. Gear is a set of leathers, boots, gauntlet gloves, back protector, Snell rated helmet. An Aerostitch or other real good textile gear has been acceptable for your first race.

As always, I have an extreme desire to let other people run the absolute hell out of my XR. You new to the track or racing? My bike is 100% yours for the stock moto class. I'll still race it in F3 and maybe supermoto so I won't be missing out on my fun, come on out folks, it's a hoot!

I have new front suspension in the shopping cart. Have a line on an Ohlins rear for a rider my weight. She's going nowhere. -

Any more poems? Called Triumph USA HQ in Georgia. They are just as surprised as I am about it not being done. That's right, still not done. All the parts were in two weeks ago and part of the motor just made it into the bike. Valve cover and clutch cover off. No electronics hooked up. The tires are probably dry rotted. Weeee.... picture is from Tuesday. Beyond overdue. When I told the Triumph guy I took my 20 year old Duc out instead of the Daytona he laughed nervously. At least I got that in!
