  1. Still less electronic bullshit than modern sportbikes...
  2. Alright @RidersDiscount humor me with a quote for a neotec 2 and a Sena system with it. Gonna try to get another year out of my neotec though.
  3. I decided it was time to check the brake pads on the FJR. 41k miles and they look like this.
  4. If you're going to be doing more than a few days on a trip, the trunk is a very nice convenience. It took me some time to get used to my case on the interstate. The wind kinda moves you around more. Anymore, I forget it's even back there and I see myself keeping it on the FJR more often. I know the Connies have some different mounting options. @2talltim can explain (I think the stock is a plastic mount and they make a metal mount, and some people swear the plastic breaks easy or something like that)
  5. Took the fairings off the FJR for the first time ever. Definitely going to be spending some time cleaning.
  6. Just to fill everyone in, 556 is currently closed, and you cannot get to Beallsville from route 7. 536 had several single lane stop light areas. 260 was severely dirty and that odd chip/seal color where you can't notice the gravel. 26 still has some mud residue from the flooding.
  7. Just got back to the house. 300 miles on the dot. Stopped and picked up an oil filter on the way home. Turned over 600 miles so now it's time for a first service. Awesome riding today guys. Weather was perfect, roads were decent, and traffic wasn't terrible.
  8. Damn that sucks to hear man. Never a fun time losing a pet.
  9. OK, another tank of fuel ran through the MT tonight. Made it 107 miles and still hasn't turned the low fuel light on. Rode the exact same route as the last tank, rode it like a hooligan just like the last tank. I think I just didn't get it all the way full last time.
  10. So what @Tonik is trying to say is, he loves to chat with people via communicator, and be sure to pair with him as soon as you see him.
  11. The bike is varies alot depending on riding style. It gets decent mileage cruising on the highway, but I am in break-in period. So I've been fluctuating rpms on twisty roads.
  12. No, definitely not. Good thing I got the FJR for easy 200+ mile stints.
  13. Rode to work this morning. Realized without heated grips, summer gloves don't do too well under 40 degrees. Hit some good twisty roads on the way home from work. The MT is a thirsty beast. 95 miles and the low fuel light came on.
  14. OK, we can do a 11am meeting at Caldwell. Does that work better for @Skinny guy and @Howabusa?
  15. @Tonik just saw your comment in the other thread, you wanna join in?
  16. Anytime works for me. Let's say 10 for now. I'm open to other times.
  17. Ok I gotta work Saturday but I have Friday off. Weather is looking good. Time for me to get the MT for an actual ride. My pace is going to be slow, since it's my first time really out on the new bike. If anyone is interested, we will meet in Caldwell at the Pilot gas station at 11am.
  18. Added a USB charging outlet to my helmet shelf. Also got the license plate for the MT.
  19. Here are some photos of the bike from our trip in 2017 if anyone is interested. A very well maintained machine.
  20. Installed a new tail bag on the MT in preparation for the gap trip. It's a sport touring bike........right?
  21. I got my SMX 6 V2 boots from Mike as well. Awesome deal!
