Why is it the govt's fault the people are working in unskilled labor? This is a job not a career and starting a family they can't support by choice makes them more needy. I worked those jobs, had no dependents and shared apartments with roommates and got no welfare. How many times I've wondered how some of them ever got non union jobs, diversity quotas I guess(checking their phone mid checkout!). Does walmart pay the government for self checkouts that are cheaper than cheap labor too?
In high school, living at home, earning minimum wage I worked 2 days a week at a grocery and one days pay every week went to union dues.
