Got a clearance(small head) Torc t14 (blue and white) for my main helmet to replace an SS1500. Weight is 3.30 to 3.35 both are Thermoplastic Alloy t14 pads are thick lycra? SS1500 cheekpads are worn mesh and on hot sweating days of and on running errands will abrade my cheeks a bit. t14 has a chin spoiler that rubs against my chin and gets in the way of where my standard handhold was +No more footpeg hanging?. ss1500 no chin spoiler, wind actually shoots dust into the eye area. Has a chin mounted pump that I forget to use but my chin hits when i jut it forward to block the wind dust from flying in. t14 is a semi loud woosher ss1500 is a mild whistler (is that a siren?) t14 sun visor is springless side mounted slider and if not fully clicked up will fall back down. ss1500 is a springed lever and button on the bottom edge. Both adequately dark t14 feels like I'm rebreathing air with the stock snap in breath shield .ss1500 jam in shield twice the size works better on either helmet. t14 straps are half as thick and have skinny d rings, upper d ring got wedged behind the cheekpad when I spread the straps to pull on. SS15 has zip quick release, had to add a grommet for helmet lock. t14 visor is thicker(more expensive to replace) has two front tabs. ss1500 visor is flimsy sounding, tab on side. One screw holding the visor mount plate went missing

I'm getting a warranty replacement Lithium WPS featherweight (2 years from July '15) Battery in the next week or two. I'm considering going back to a uprated ah AGM If I could get enough for this one I ordered a 490-2513 HJTX14H-FP-IL 210cca but they sent a 490-2516 HJTX14H-FP-IL 240cca the first time, not sure what I'll get back probably more likely the smaller. Stock battery was ctx12bs With the terminals facing front positive is on the left, 2 lbs 94mm H,87mm D,150mW https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DX89I9U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/WPS-Featherweight-Lithium-Battery-HJTX14H-FP-IL/dp/B00DX89FMK/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1473982401&sr=1-1&keywords=HJTX14h Slightly amusing, the duralast(3 month warranty ) that was weak last year in cold weather and sitting in my basement occasionally charged starts it up alright for now. but low fully charged V.

He put others at risk at those speeds.

Once you get used to calling drivers out for punishment passes on a 20 pound motorless bike while wearing lycra. Doing it on a bike that can outrun and outmaneuver them, no big deal. They didn't injure you This time but they get the rush and no consequences and may get you next time. Road users are at risk either way. They need to get spooked enough to think about their driving but not enough for them to want revenge. I like this method though http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/cyclist-car-keys-throws-drain-1.3244683

Hopelessly Optimistic Insomniac. Once in a while there's a worthy thread.

Ninja rocks aka spark plug ceramic. I've I heard about someone else wondering how hard it would be to short a car's fuses from the undercarriage with a "spare" battery. Of course the best thing is to get the details, video if possible, and report it.

A sharpshooter killed a top ISIS executioner and three other jihadists with a single bullet from nearly a mile away — just seconds before the fiend was set to burn 12 hostages alive with a flamethrower, according to a new report. The British Special Air Service marksman turned one of the most hated terrorists in Syria into a fireball by using a Barett .50-caliber rifle to strike a fuel tank affixed to the jihadi’s back, the UK’s Daily Star reported Sunday. The ISIS butcher — who reportedly delighted in burning hostages alive — had been on a US “kill list” for several months, sources told the paper, which did not identify the sniper or the executioner. ISIS started using flamethrowers after the torture method was popularized in North Korea http://nypost.com/2016/09/11/sniper-takes-out-isis-executioner-from-a-mile-away/

took a dremel bit to the caliper where the pads make indents. It was some of the mildest i've seen(one side more than other), and I'd think the old pads and new pads would hit different spots anyway..? I usually inspect that on pad slaps but this bike has the speed sensor connected to the caliper mount giving less movement Yesterday and today after a long ride rotor was 111F huge difference, swiinger still at 150f as before. *not actual photo

The media is so biased against so many groups I don't see how there's any audience left.
