Dude, you’re too kind. Thank you for the offer, but it was my hands that couldn’t handle the cold the other day. I have some pretty thick gloves, but they weren’t cutting it. My cut off is usually 50°. When I left on Friday morning it was 42°. I’ve ridden in the upper 40s and been fine. Someday I’ll get off my wallet and buy some heated gloves. Multiple hobbies/toys asking for my money nowadays.

I won’t be making this boys. I rode in to work this morning and froze my butt off. It’s gonna be the same temperature tomorrow morning. I ran this morning as a test run. That was only like 35 minutes. Gonna pass on hours of cold morning riding. Speed safe.

I’ll put myself down as a maybe. As we get closer to the date, I’ll let you know for sure what I’m doing.

@NinjaDoc I’d love to meet up but I’m down to just 1 bike now and it’s an 03 Goldwing. Do quite a bit of 2up riding with my wife nowadays. I’m afraid I’d be a bit slow. 8:30 is real early for me. It’s 3hrs+ for me. Speed safely buddy. Hope all is well for you.

Nice roadside repair. I took a trip down 377 recently Ben and I think I have a pretty good idea of what caused your accident. There’s a dip in that corner that caused a harsh peg drag on the Goldwing. I never noticed it on any of the other bikes I’ve ripped through there. I’m guessing the guzzi ran out of clearance pretty fast. Going through the corner at speed I never saw a dip but the suspension on the Goldwing told me all about it. Glad you’re still on two wheels.

Thanks for the review. This opens a newer wing as a possibility in the future. I showed my wife the picture and she approves.

Brakes are overrated

I think the guy that was going to review that seat may have paid like $2000. Just think for another $2000 he could’ve had a bike and comfy seat. 🤷‍♂️

I was in 4th just coasting and was planning to just roll through, but she was much happier in 3rd feeling a heavier engine brake. I was good with it cause I was able to roll on pretty heavy with little to no complaints. We were with 2 other couples and the thing that freaked her out was when the guy following had a close call with a car. He came in hot to a right hander, and was either on the yellow or maybe even crossed. I was told to slow down at that point. I obeyed.

Not currently. I’m looking to put the money towards another sport quad. I see another Concours in the future though. I realize now I sold the wrong bike last year. The CBR was getting too painful for the repaired ACL knee.

Somebody told me they’d report back on a seat just like that. Did I miss that report?

We just did 675 miles in 2.5 days. Rode over to Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. She said she had a good time and she is definitely getting more comfortable. She doesn’t seem to mind me getting aggressive on uphill corners, but gets nervous on downhill stuff. I found if I downshifted and removed that free rolling feeling she seemed more comfortable. Thanks the information. That’s helpful.

@Tonik So how many miles/hrs do you and the wife put down in 1 day?

It was and had 24k on the odometer. Some people thought that was high miles. 🤷‍♂️

They’d have to change the seat on the new Wing in order for the wife to even think about that. She actually just had me install armrest for her on the current wing. She calls it her baby carriage because she falls asleep back there. Looks like an old fart owns it but she’s comfortable. We are actually on a motorcycle trip this weekend. I didn’t get yelled at too much for ripping through West Virginia 50. I called that a win.

After 7yrs and 40,000 miles piled on I sold her for what I paid for her.

I need to convince the wife to take a trip like this.
