  1. Make sure you are reving it to 11,500 indicated on the tach before you shift. The tachs are off 600-800+ and the Gen-II makes way more power up top. Heck, bog it out of the hole if you have to just don't overheat the clutches leaving on the rev's and work on your shifts...
  2. Seriously? How much do you weight? To be honest, you need to get your times down like it is. Otherwise, you are only going to magnify what you are doing wrong with more mods.
  3. So what did you run before these mods...?
  4. That guy can't ride worth a shit and is going to end up hurting himself of someone else... Bikes engine break quicker than cars so it helps to let people you're racing know when you are coming over. I've seen to many people run up a bikes ass after a run when they didn't do it...
  5. Not a fan of the Orange wheels but the Carbon Fiber/Orange isn't that bad...
  6. I still haven't seen the SSC do anything remotely close to Bugatti. They've made a lot of claims and so called private test runs but I've yet to see repeatable PROVEN results like the Veyron. Every vid I've seen of the car testing never went over 229 on a 5+ mile road. It doesn't take much to spin the tires at 190+ when you are talking about cars in that league. After seeing these street cars run 250+ in 1-mile, I'm really not impressed with the all out speed claims...
  7. I hate to be the one that breaks it to you but that is NOT a 2003 Anniversary Orange bike. The most noticeable reason is the anniversary bikes had black frames. 2003 40th Anniversary BUSA http://www.dixonarchive.com/hayabusa/images/modelhistory/full_size/2003_orange.jpg That bike appears to have been dropped on both sides and repainted. A few other flags for me but as long as you are happy that's all that matters...
  8. Sad news but the guy was 67-years old. I think he died before he even hit the other car (then again maybe he was confused in Germany from driving on the wrong side of the road in Japan)...
  9. Hell NO! To many CLEAN well taken care of BUSA's out there to buy a POS like that. Unless you are getting it for $3k or less I would walk away...
  10. So what have they both run at the track...?
  11. Gen-II BUSA will do ALL of that and then some...
  12. Doing those runs and pulling those speeds in the rain, fuck that... :gtfo:
  13. I wondered if you had picked one up. Very nice...
  14. They've had the tranny issues worked out for some time; now they are going 9's @ 145-150+... Low 11.3's @122 stock and mid-10's @ 132+ with basic bolt-on's really isn't bad. They are freaking heavy though...
  15. I would spend a little more and get at least a 03+. 32-bit ECU and a few other changes started in 03...
  16. Come on down, the waters nice and warm...
  17. I was just giving an example. There is always a scenario that doesn't fall into ones statement. It's really just about being accountable for your finances and LIVING WITHIN YOUR MEANS!
  18. You don't have to pay cash for a house, that's just an option down the road. The point is to have no monthly debt to pay which allows you to save, invest, retire, AND pay off that house early. There is no point in paying almost double what your house is worth in fees and interest on a 30-year mortgage when you can own it in under 7-years. You would probably fall out of your chair if you knew how many people have interest only loans on there house, lease a new vehicle every couple years, and have $30k+ in credit card debt. A lot of people are BEYOND STUPID with money... :gtfo:
  19. You don't need credit when you can pay CASH for everything. That is the point, why finance something and pay interest to a bank, credit union, etc. when you can save yourself money paying up front... IMO, it all boils down to "not keeping up with the joneses!" Think about how much you pay in payments every month to someone. What if that same amount was going in a savings or investment account? Next would be savings and retirement. Do you plan on working your entire life? There are some pretty scary statistics out there but here are just a couple.... 50% of people aged 25-34 have less than $10k saved. 51% of Americans have ZERO retirement saved AT ALL!
  20. Unless he's spraying a 300-shot that thing isn't 600hp. No Turbo...
  21. Depends what you want to do with it.... Basic bolt ons and you are 200rwhp if you just want a fun streetbike. A piston kit and you are 1441cc good for around 230rwhp+ with a good head cam setup. As far as slapping on a TURBO they won't hold as much boost stock motor because of the higher compression. However, with a spacer plate and other goodies, they make more power and IMO are all around better. Mods recommended: ferrara valves (though you could use stock gen 1's for cheaper used), 65# Springs, .080 base spacer, head gasket, lower end gasket kit, APE Promod studs / nuts, ape cam sprockets (only 1 is really needed, you could sell the extra). Also with the dual injector setup and ECU tuning no need for an FMU just a 1:1 regulator. 18psi Greg's bike made 356hp/217tq stock pistons/rods on pump gas...
  22. LOL....I would spend a little more and get a Gen-II unless you are going straight TURBO regardless...
  23. If you plan on doing mostly drag and top end, why didn't you get a BUSA...?
  24. Depends on the dyno and a few other factors but that's about right for the cross plane setup...
