  1. Maybe compared to Trails but I would rather drive to Norwalk and I live in Dayton...
  2. How about a Honda Intercepter (a.k.a...VFR 750)...? http://powersports.honda.com/assets/images/model/model_hero_shot/Motorcycles/2008/large/Interceptor.jpg
  3. Because my insurance is $206 for 6-months FULL coverage. Why not...? If you get good rates and have a good record, at least get liability with theft and un-insured/under-insured motorists... You may never use it but that's why you have insurance. It only takes one idiot or mistake to make your life hell on a bike. Besides if you have a lean on the bike, you are required by law to have full coverage. If you pay cash for it, liability is great just don't be upset when the bike gets stolen...
  4. If you plan to have a bike on the policy, call STATE FARM. They have some of the best rates when you combine them on a policy.
  5. It's probably stock or close to it. Anything 99+ got the PI heads so running 13's should be no problem for a stock 2-valve. I've run 13.9's in bone stock 99+ GT's many times...
  6. Sounds like he did buy it, but still plans to race....
  7. To bad the track still sucks balls and they haven't fixed the 60' beam that was taken out LAST November....
  8. When you get serious, CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY and get some quotes before you do anything (full coverage). For some people that eliminates them right off the bat. Now if you get a used cheaper bike, you should be able to afford liability without a problem.... As everyone else has stated, get a newer 600cc bike and take it easy. Go to the MSF course and learn the basics FIRST...
  9. You can get a left over 07 brand new for $8900. I would offer him $7,500 or less for it...
  10. Dunno....I've been busy so I haven't posted much anywhere lately...
  11. The only thing it can be at this point is work history. Otherwise, I would join a credit union and tell National City to piss off. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to get a loan if everything else checks out....
  12. Why buy a new one when you can get a one or two year old one with low miles for mid-low $20k's....?
  13. Well something isn't right then... What kind of work history do you have....? Define pretty high credit score...? Have you checked your credit report lately...? You should have no problem getting a loan unless something else is wrong. Do you belong to a good credit union? What kind of bank are you calling for a loan....? Either way you shouldn't have this much trouble getting a loan...
  14. Cool, all that matters is you are happy with the deal...
  15. No shit... You NEVER pay retail for a bike let alone from a dealer... You want to shoot for middle of the road. Trade-in = $4,470 & Retail = $6,470. $5,470 would have been a good buy. Oh well, as long as you are happy.....
  16. Get a credit card with a $500 limit and go out to dinner with it once a month. After 6-months of perfect payments, you should have enough credit and history to get a auto loan for $5k or less (if you have job history and a steady income)....
  17. Any decent credit union should give you a loan, you will just suffer with a higher interest rate (9-15%+). Keep shopping around and you should be able to find something. I was able to get $11k when I was 18 with zero history, virtually no credit, and no cosigner. The kicker was my first loan was 11% interest... P.S....buy a cheap moped or something just to ride around local. At least you aren't walking unless you prefer a bicycle. After that first loan, I have bought over a dozen new cars and bikes in the last 10-years with zero issues (low interest and perfect credit score)...
  18. Reading the first line of my post is your friend.....but obviously a lot of people still just don't get it. The fact that a majority of the people are telling you "Don't do it, is just wrong and will hurt you down the road." Sounds like you've got it figured out though. Good luck with your purchase....
  19. 2008 model White isn't available in the US. That's a EURO only color this year.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/de/SUZUKI_Hayabusa_2007TMS.jpg/723px-SUZUKI_Hayabusa_2007TMS.jpg
  20. I can't believe some of the responses in here and honestly looking at the ages listed, I'm pretty surprised.... How about buy a cheap car that you can pay off in 1-2 years (or LESS) to BUILD CREDIT. If you are 19 and have no credit card or any other form of credit history, you're only hurting yourself buy waiting to make a purchase. Buy something very cheap that will get you around and you can easily afford payments on. Even if you have $3-10k in the bank, just get a small note with direct payment and don't even worry about it. You will be glad you did in 5-years when you are done with school and shopping for your dream car or whatever you want next.... Just don't plan on spending $20-50k+ on a new car while in college and you'll be fine.
  21. Cool...that's a great running and looking bike you've got...
  22. Looks good man! What times are you running with the new setup...?
