Drove home from Deal's Gap, annual Zdayz event with over 750 registered participants. Went a couple of days early to get the driving in before the weekend crowds arrived.

I didn't get to see it run, it rained shortly after we arrived. There is very little down time between runs though so you do get to see several runs in a short period of time. There is a small specators area with a speaker and they announce the mph of each run.

That Caddy went 147 mph today shutting down early. I should have some more pics later this afternoon. Rain hit hard for a bit, hopefully tomorrow works out better.

Nice pics Doc. I hope to take a few tomorrow. Just took a quick drive through a couple of the hotel parking lots, some crazy looking cars. A lot more old cars/street rods than I would have expected.

From the looks of the local restaurants this evening, some of the participants are already hitting town. Several car haulers at the local hotels. Small town so it's obvious when something out of the ordinary is going on. The local restaurants and hotels can definately use the business. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

I think it was in '97 or so, bought the car in stock form in October of '96 and the wheels came shortly after. Still love the fact of how rare they are since they were only imported for a couple of years.

Yes and no, the louvered version that I have is aftermarket and designed to match the louvers in the lower lip for the intercoolers. The 1990 model year had a smooth/badgeless center panel. The '91-'96 had the standard Nissan hamburger emblem.

I've been eyeing Forgelines for a while, doubt that I'll do anything soon but it has been considered.

Thanks, the lower lip is an add on to the stock front fascia.

About the Ohio Mile Track The Ohio Mile Located at Airborne Park, southeast side of the town of Wilmington, Ohio just off Interstate 71 midway between Cincinnati and Columbus. Track entrance is off of Airborne Road. An address to use for your GPS is 2870 Old State Road 73. This is a business across the street from the entrance of the track. Elevation is 1077 feet above sea level The track is 9000 feet long by 150 wide offering two 33 foot wide lanes The finish line is one mile from the start. You are timed in a 132 foot trap that ends at the finish line. Cars and Motorcycles compete at all events. Gate Times Friday: 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday 6 AM to 8 PM Sunday 6 AM to 6 PM Spectators $10 a day or $15 for the weekend. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs. We use CB channel 1 For speed broadcasts. I've owned my 300ZX for a little over 16 years and don't see it going anywhere in the near future. It was one of my dream cars back in the early 90's but it was out of reach for me. I can not think of another car within the same budget parameters that I would enjoy as much. Based on family and work priorities, I don't get to enjoy it as much as I would like at times but it still fills the void of a car that is more than transportation from point a to point b. I hope to get another toy at some point but it will be an addition instead of a replacement.
