Odd that you say that, people in Columbus likely see the car being driven more than you do........ Feel free to tag along to NC - Tail of the Dragon in May if you would like to see it driven a bit more:fuckyeah: I've yet to even see your Subi or a photo with the giraffe to authenticate it.

It's at the local Carstar right now, I have no personal experience but a couple of co-workers have used them in the past w/good results. They have also been helpful in providing guidance about working with Geico. I went and took another look at the car today, the damage is more extensive than I thought. Unfortunately far from totalled. Mostly sheet metal replacement and likely at least 3 new wheels. There does not appear to be significant structural damage.

Not how I wanted to start the day, teenage driver hit black ice, lost traction and over corrected. Unfortunately I was in the oncoming traffic with nowhere to go......his rear bumper clipped me as he slid past. http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/front.jpg http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/rearprofile.jpg Ripped the harness right out of the door http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/DoorHarness.jpg Fortunately they were insured unlike the last time I was hit, unfortunately they are insured with Geico. Hopefully getting it repaired properly will not be a battle. Luckily it was not a direct hit and no airbags popped. My 8 y/o son did't even realize what actually happened.

Had them on a few vehicles back in the '80's. Just found some of the plates for them in an old toolbox a few months ago, funny flashback. More of a novelty than performance in my opinion. It was cool to add or remove plates to change the sound.

Distance for me, I've made a couple of events and Cars and Coffee a few times but being over an hour away it's hard to make the impromtu stuff. Didn't know too many people the first few times out, still don't know a ton but those that I have met are always easy to talk to, shouldn't be hard for anyone new to fit in if you are willing to step into a conversation. Since I've had my Z for ~16 years, I know a ton of Z guys but haven't ventured out to as many general car events the past few years.

No worries, just shoot me a PM if you are heading South. I'm about 5 minutes off of 71 on the St. Rt. 68 exit. I'll let you know if anything comes up that I'll be heading to Columbus for.

Came out of a '03 G35 but fits mulitple Nissan's and Infiniti. To verify fitment: http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=33-2031-2 CR Price.......FREE :fuckyeah: Could probably use a cleaning but it's free...... If no one wants it, I'll throw it on Craigslist or Ebay. Located in Wilmington if you want it.

But we'll take everything we can get at this point. Hopefully local restaurants, hotels, gas stations, etc will get some much needed business from this.

Beautiful rides. May have seen the M5 around Dayton.

We've been watching for the right pup for about a month, found this little girl listed the day after Christmas at a reduced price, likely due to not selling before Christmas. She is 13 weeks old and already a little over 21 lbs. Mother is medium build and father was a real bruiser. http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/4141jkk_20.jpg Looks like a little tank in this picture http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/8833a4f_20.jpg Having a little playtime w/our 4 y/o Valley Bulldog http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/Playtime.jpg http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/sticktime.jpg http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/attack.jpg I think she is happy to have a little playmate http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/HappyDog.jpg

Clearly you are not from Southern Ohio.....there are Stop signs at every intersection for just such a need.

If you are up to a drive, I have a friend that owns a small jewelry store in Washington Court House. His prices smash the chain jewelers, always the same people to deal with and his name is on the building and hase been for ~30 years (2nd generation in the family) if I recall correctly. He is also the jeweler, all settings and sizings are done in-house. I've sent several friends there for anything from 'out of the box' to custom made, they have all become loyal repeat customers. He has trade-ins available too that will easily compete with the pawn market. Fox Jewelers. Let me know if you want any contact info.

Listed it for $4,700 obo based on what comparable cars seemed to be going for. Let it go for $4,400.

Even this style? http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_V--2.0T/Engine/Intake/APR_-_Carbonio/ES261246/
-
It was just the air box portion, not the pipe. Still retails for $269-299 so I gladly picked it up for $80 (2 weeks old, still looked new)
-
Hard to pass up the intake @ $80 though, snagged it locally on Craigslist. I'll probably wait 'til spring for the flash.

http://early-onset-of-night.tumblr.com/post/13348728615/tattoo-artist-ryan-fitzgerald-from-dayton-oh-was http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lv9wahoia61qar86bo1_500.jpg Tattoo artist Ryan Fitzgerald from Dayton, OH was hit with a $100,000 lawsuit last week by his ex-girlfriend Rossie Brovent. She claims that her boyfriend was supposed to tattoo a scene from Narnia on her back but instead tattooed an image of a pile of excrement with flies buzzing around it. Apparently, Ryan found out that Rossie had cheated with a long-time friend of his, but instead of confronting her about it he acted like everything was normal and hatched a plan for revenge. Originally, Rossie tried to have Ryan charged with assault, but the ingenious tattoo artist had covered his bases by plying Rossie with wine and tequila shots and getting her to sign a consent form that stated the design was “at the artist’s discretion.” No word from Rossie on whether the illicit night of passion with Ryan’s friend was worth it. Moral of the story? Never cheat on a tattoo artist.

Picked up a new daily over the weekend, '09 Tornado Red GTI w/DSG. Had to drive to Cleveland to get the deal I was looking for, certified pre-owned so I was able to get the extra 2 yr/24k warranty. Thanks to MKV Aaron for providing me some tips about the cars and what to look for. Brought it home Friday night, picked up a Carbonio/APR intake yesterday and had the windows tinted today. That will probably be it for a while on the mods. Thanks to the wonderful never ending rain, all I have so far is a pic from the dealership's website: http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae324/SilverTwinOH/GTI.jpg Sold my MKIV TDI Jetta on Saturday, had it 7 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Was just ready for a change. I will miss the MPG but diesel pricing is getting ridiculous. Let the VAG/Non-LSX bashing commence:fuckyeah:

Thanks for the reply, I've been considering a '07-'08 GTI and I'm not overly familiar with the 2.0T. To the OP, nice ride!
-
Is this specific to certain years of the 2.0T? Haven't really followed them.

Dick's, decent selection in the $30-40 range.
