I stayed in Franklin 2 years ago and really enjoyed the Valley River Brewery, downtown, for good beers, good food, and friendly bartender.

I'm waiting for new Chase Visa cards since my old one was used to buy Tameka and Elijah Johnson plane tickets on Spirit Airlines departing Oakland, CA! Can't say it had anything to to with the Equifax thing, but I'm still pissed off. Chase covered the charge so it isn't costing me anything. At least not directly - we all pay for this crap.

Wore the molding nubs off my brand new tires on the dragon this morning - 4 times, then Cherohala after lunch at the Hub.

I've run 3" deck screws through the ramp and the trailer floor. I always pack a cordless drill anyway so it's easy to screw it down / release it.
-
I test loaded it on the trailer so I can be sure to do it quietly at 6:00 tomorrow morning. Then I'll pick up my buddy and his bike to drive to the area around the dragon. Latest weather shows Irma moving west of us. Fingers crossed.

I would recommend cleaning off the old popcorn first. I once scraped down a popcorn ceiling with a garden hoe. No, I'm not talking about my ex-wife. Much easier than a using a putty knife on a ladder and the crap doesn't fall on your head.

Mounted 2 new Pilot Power 3s, new 85o valve stems, changed oil, and cleaned the K&N pods. Tomorrow they'll get oiled and mounted and then I'll be ready for a trip to the Dragon, etc. Getting excited, leaving Sept 11.

I also use a modified HF unit. I helped a friend swap PR4-GTs on his C14 and had no problems. I just bought a Nomar yellow thing and I'm excited to try it changing tires on the Bandit tomorrow or Monday. If you wanna come over to the NE corner of Cols, you can watch/help. Or you can bring your wheels & tires and we'll do all 4.

Most other online places I hang out have a different level of civility but I think my game is up to OR. It's like a VERY clever middle school locker room in here. I just have to learn when it's appropriate to rant on the current topic, +1 the previous post, toss personal insults at the last poster, or go off topic with a comment out of my ass. (see what I did there Tonik?) I'll either catch on to the protocol, or I'll stop reading OR. Crazy thing is, I still want to meet and ride with some of you idiots. Anyway, does anybody think Suzuki will really make this?

Couldn't tell from the article but is this real aluminum & plastic or just some Photoshop wet dream? Agree the vegetable slicer sides were lifted from the Kaw. Everybody wants to see another fork free Yam get produced but USDs are sooo good these days... I'm sick of murdered out black bikes, the white scheme is not bad, but that bumblebee yellow & black? While the Photoshopper was doing that he should have posed Kenny Roberts on it! Not trying to rant, just trying to learn how to behave on OR.

Just submitted the electronic form. 6 - 8 weeks for my $24 check.

Repacked my end can last night and put it all back together. The perforated core had broken and fallen to the bottom of the can where the old packing used to be. Made a sleeve to put the broken core back together and had it welded in. It's ugly as hell inside but as good as before on the outside.

Never lived in TN but I lived in Greenville, SC for 11 years and the weather was much nicer than OH. One big selling point for TN is no income tax! Dividends and interest income are taxed at a flat 5% but that is scheduled to disappear in 2022 (just in time for me to retire there).

Was just on that stretch of 56 today. No problem, just take 278 toward Nelsonville and 691 back to 56. Best 20 miles we rode today. Then had lunch at Union St. before following a coal truck for 10 miles in the rain on 550.

How about the GSX-S750 for $300 over $8K?
-
Yeah, destroyed it pushing the front flange out from the back side. It probably needed a repack anyway, it's 12 - 14 years old. At least now I know why it was starting to sound ratty! I've already contacted Dale Walker at Holeshot for new packing and repair parts. For now I'm planning to put it back together w/o packing and with aluminum rivets until the right stuff gets here. I picked up a 1-3/4" exhaust pipe coupling at AutoZone at lunch today to make a sleeve for the broken core.

And here's what I found inside after about an hour of careful disassembly followed by 2 minutes with a 3lb deadblow!

When I came into the garage after mowing the lawn yesterday the sun was just right to see into my tailpipe. NO! not THAT tailpipe - the one where the sun DOES shine. Anyway, you don't have to be a motorcycle proctologist to see there's something wrong in there.

I have 2 left from a pack of copper crush washers I got at Jeg's. Earl's is the brand and they're 10 x 15 x 1.5. PM me your address and I'll put them in the mail Monday if you want them.

I'm sure you all can't wait to hear my next nerd joke, so... Did you hear about the physicist who took his mathematician friend to a lecture about 11 dimensional space? After the talk, the physicist says, "I'm having a really difficult time visualizing how space would look in 11 dimensions. How about you?" Tha mathematician says, "No problem for me. I just visualize "N" dimensions, then let "N" equal 11."

I stopped in to try these and purchased the RS-200-X's in red/black. I rode home in them and was impressed at how supple the goatskin palms are. On the 1st ride they felt more broken in than some others I've had for a year. Pretty well vented and reasonably cool for a gauntlet. These do run small though. But the 3XL fit my wide hands without the fingers being too long. There probably isn't a size for basketball players or violinists. I can see me wearing these a lot. Thanks IP.

$5.58 plus sales tax would be my savings. It's worth that to me to patronize a local brick & mortar store that also fills my needs for many other items. If nobody ever buys from a storefront, bike shops will go the way of camera stores.
