Well, I don't know what I did Sunday to cause it, but I lost my voice somehwere near Charleston. Other than some minor sinus pressure, I feel fine. I just can't talk...which will surely make tomorrow's training sessions seamless. Oh, well. At least I am vertical.
Also, I have done nothing to my bike today.
I was in WV a couple weekends ago and passed a few cyclists climbing the mountains. I decided then that I missed the satisfaction of a hard climb and promised myself I would get back onto my bicycle. The motorcycle is fun and I enjoy it very much, but it is not comparable to climbing on the bicycle. I will attempt to maintain a healthy balance of both. Then I can have my cake and eat it, too.
Taking the Wheelhouse to Charlotte this week. I am hoping to be back into a medium shirt and 32 jeans in time for Thanksgiving. I have not been very diligent on creating time for myself concerning fitness. However, I have ridden my motorcycles over 12k miles this year...so I am not that upset.
Threw the wheels back on the Hyper and slapped some new rear pads on the Voyager. I still need to change the oil on the Hyper, but I caught a bitch of a flu bug and spent all night shaking with a fever. I am just too pooped to pop today. Putting the wheels on absolutely wore me out.
Pack a set of arrowhead Multistrada panniers and get back to me.
If you dont have the removable liner bags, get some. So much easier than dicking with the panniers themselves. Just toss the liners in the boxes and go.
Glad you like your bike. Glad to see you back on the forums. Speed safe and I will catch you another time.
1320 miles for me. Maybe 100 on the slab and the rest was just brilliant WV roads. The Hyper is amazing. I am very happy with that bike. It is a missle on twisty roads and comfortable in town or hauling ass. The front end needs some love, but the shock seemed to work well. The traction control is awesome. I was trying to make it slip the first night on wet roads and it just stuck.
Day 2 was the best of the three, with today being a solid 2nd. Day 1 loses just because of the wet roads and the vintage porn hotel. The pub was cool, though. So was that loop into Maryland. So, Days 1&3 are tied for 2nd, but the crown belongs to yesterday. Wow.. I never knew I could ride that many good roads in one weekend. I plan on doing more of these trips.
