No problem at all and glad you were able to swing down. I agree 100% that dyno's are tuning tools and there are many variations between them. Just as another example from yesterday, we had a DSM on last night that made 43psi on the dyno and that is spot-on what it makes at the track. Load is not the issue... Jeff

I don't think the Dyno has anything to do with it. For example, my brother's EVO (Black one) has the following mods: BC 280 cams Upgraded FMIC Full Exhaust CAI 18-19 psi Car made 307 / 318 with just a quickie tune. It is being tuned today and should pick up 10-20awhp with the same mods and we will have to see how much torque changes. Since the mods are really close I figured I would toss that out as a comparison

Want to see a "yawn" of a dyno graph? Come on in.

I apologize for not being around to finally get a chance to meet you / check out the car. We all go out to lunch about 10 times a year and one of them just happened to be Wednesday. Thanks for stopping down and glad they were able to get you in and out so quickly Jeff -
We stock ATE fluid 24/7 and even though I dont have any BG right now I could get it for you quickly (Same day). Jeff

There has been for over a year now Jeff

Both fixed with a LSx swap

Mark had one in his car last year that lasted exactly 2 days of actual driving the car hard (After a 500+ mile break-in). Exedy did send us a new one and are in the process of releasing the "Re-design" now so they will presumably be better soon. However, that doesn't change the fact that anything short of the Triple-Carbon ($$$) that was in Tilleys car wouldnt last a weekend... Jeff

Car makes great power and is really impressive for what little you have done. Congrats again! Jeff

Especially ones that are still able to be warrantied... Jeff

Believe me, I still managed lol. Jeff

Yep. We have the complete Auto conversions from RPM for both cars (Mark & Jason's). Jeff

Some building about a minute from the shop I drove by and thought would make a good background Jeff

Took these last year in a couple spots within 2 minutes of the shop and figured I would toss a few up for those that havent seen it in awhile http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10001.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10005.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10014.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10021.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10039.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10042.JPG http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/MarkC6Z06-10062.JPG

It really didnt have a "Best" of either I dont think it was ever in throttle more than a second or two without lifting on either pass and the turbo died on the 2nd so it was a short day. IIRC I think both passes were 17.x @ 7x lol Jeff
-
We gave away (Or very close to it) 3-4 Z 5-Speeds a year or so ago (To make room for the dyno) but dont have anything now. Not sure how much luck you are going to have locally but I would try Brims Imports or maybe All Foreign and if you strike out there call Z1 as they most likely would have one. Good luck! Jeff

Huh?
-
Yeah, it definitely spent more time sideways than going straight lol. It was the first time out and completely expected. We will have to see if we can play with the tires/pressure a bit and get a clean pass out of it this week Jeff
-
Problem is you just cant put a shop on Bethel or Sawmill or Avery due to the noise/zoning issues. That is why Passen had the "Retail" store on Bethel just to sell parts/wheels and then did all the work at the "Less attractive" Westerville store. That is the only way to have the best of both worlds but I would MUCH prefer to have just one shop for obvious reasons. Jeff
-
Yeah, we have been working with one that just does warehouse/office space for just over 6 months now. Some weeks we have seen as many as 3-4 places and this week will just be one. Hate most. Liked a few. All have atleast one major flaw that you just cant jump up and down about.... Jeff
-
Congrats Sherlock... Just for further clarification what was the cars VIN number?
-
If the car blew-up and shut the track down for a hour it was DEFINETLY a different car (Regardless of week). All I can tell you is we werent there last week or the week before so apparently there is another one that didnt have a very good day. Jeff
-
You didnt see us at the track last week (Kilkare or anywhere else). Since the only fact correct in the first two posts was that the car indeed was a black TT Z06 I honestly thought they were talking about somebody else. We were at Kilkare 3 weeks ago (Not last week). The car didnt blow up and in fact most likely will be at Kilare again tomorrow. The track was "Shut down" for all of 30 seconds and no clean-up was done or needed as nothing happened save for a rebuilt turbo kicking the bucket. The car was driven back on/off the trailer and all was fine save for a junk turbo (That just had a $900 rebuild done last year) smoking quite a bit. We were there just to see how she would feel on slicks and low boost and as expected it was quite a handfull Jeff

This is true, however, I am of the opinion that if I had a small(er) shop in Dublin or Powell or wherever that had a fenced-in area for cars to sit outside they would still get broken into. Modded cars are like magnets for kids looking to make a quick buck on stereos and gauges and electronics. Even the lazy ones can figure out where they are most accessible pretty easily. Actually breaking into a shop to try to take parts or an entire car goes to a whole other level that most "Kids" arent willing to risk. Those few that are wouldnt hesitate to drive 20 minutes north Vs 5 minutes around the corner IMO (I could be completely wrong but just my hunch). For example, my Huntington branch manager on Sullivant was just telling us last week that his branch hasnt been "Hit" for years (Presumably because of the beefed-up secruity) while the UA and Grandview branches both were recently. Most thieves are smart enough to follow the path of least resistance regardless of where that is Jeff

Thanks for the info. Do you know what they are zoned by any chance? We have looked at a few in "Nicer" areas that the dyno was a no-go in. Thanks, Jeff
