  1. Couldnt have said it better myself. I have only been married a short 6 months (seems like the Honeymoon was last week) but it is a wonderful thing when you can wake up every single morning and know you were lucky enough to find "The one". I am proud of many things in my life but getting to call Michele my wife is by far #1. Congratulations and have a great time celebrating both the engagement and have a very Happy Holidays as well! Jeff
  2. Remember our "Flagger" asking you how many cars you were giving me out at Charter? LOL. I remember you yelling at him for 5 minutes while we just sat there. After the race we pulled back in to park and he walks up to me and says "He just let you win right?" LOL. Jeff
  3. I swear I have met 50+ people just from racing them in the Laser way back when. Howard -- Walked his ass in the supra (he kept getting out of it at 120-ish) Brett -- Got my ass handed to me by his first Z Mike M -- Walked his Stealth TT bad Tommy -- Beat him over and over and over in his TA (Dig and Roll) Zavier -- DESTROYED his FD back when it was still auto all around 270 Mark M -- Beat his AWD GSX from a dig Nick P -- He spotted me like 20 cars and kicked my ass from a dig in his T-type Adam -- Beat his LS1 ram-air TA out on 270 and been friends ever since Phil -- Beat up on his Grand National from a roll. Got owned from a dig. Brent -- Beat the Corrado from a roll a time or two Anthony -- Walked his first Camaro all the way to Grove City lol And on and on and on. Funny story. The FedEx guy had come in about 10 times or so (to the new building) when he finally stops me while I am signing his little pad and says that I look familiar. I just kinda shrugged as I couldnt place him at all. "By any chance did you used to drive a red Eclipse or Talon or something a few years back?" I just started laughing. "Yep, actually I did. Why?" He starts laughing. "I knew that was you! You kicked my ass in my LT1 TA all the way to Charter one night and my friend that was riding with me STILL reminds me that I got my ass beat by that thing" Im sure Linn has me beat by a mile in winning %, but the little ol laser held its own wayyyy back in the day lol. Jeff
  4. The funny thing is I was actually serious about the "2 Weeks" thing the first few times I told anyone. After that it was more of a running joke lol. The ol Unicorn still owned Howards ass on video about 4 years ago now? Speaking of which, if anyone still has that, could they email it to me? We were just talking about that race last night and I havent seen it in YEARS. Jeff
  5. I was riding shotty for that race in Anthonys car After we hit about 60mph and Alex is catching up pretty quickly Brian and I are like mock-rowing to make the thing go faster lol. Brian nailed a good enough launch that we held him off though. Fun night. I also remember how we started that race. Windows down Brian yells over "Do you want to honk or what?" and Alex yells back "Just go man, Ill catch ya!" Brian looks over at me and yells back "Are you sure, because, no you wont!" Good times... Jeff
  6. The problem for the longest time was the complete lack of rebuild parts. You lost a synchro a few years back and you were looking at a $4k tranny. The 6-spds have proven much more reliable as a generalization. Stock versions have been driven into the 9s already -- which is true of the 5-spd as well. The T-case was always the the first thing to go on the 5-Spd cars and now there is a very solid Billet aluminum and S.S. version out as upgrades that have proven to be bullet-proof thus far. Jeff
  7. I still remember walking around 270 in the rain looking for pieces of your pistons lol. We got walked by a stock 3-series and then to add insult to injury the poor Nisan imploded. Fun fun. I still remember trying to get you to race the first time I met you. "No man, I dont street race" Not even 5 minutes later we are flying around 270 at 130mph lol. Jeff
  8. Damn, you just beat me in lol. I am #12 I believe. I remember Tommy and I going back and forth for a solid page about me destroying his TA in the little ol laser. I remember it being like the only thread on the entire forum lol. Ahhhh the good ol days. Jeff
  9. My car in particular has never had a single Tranny/T-case issue since I have owned it. Clutch has been replaced a few times but thats it for me. I still have the stock driveshaft and rest of the drivetrain. Most of the 94+ 6-Spd cars have had better luck in the Tranny/T-case dept. Jeremy's car has a RPS Carbon/Carbon Clutch, Carbon Fiber Driveshaft, upgraded T-case, and the beefiest of the stock 5-spd Trannys and aside from one clutch failure at the track its all held up great thus far. Jeff
  10. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30406&highlight=ips+stealth
  11. Yes, thanks a million Jeremy. As probably the single biggest build/project car we have ever done (Even more so than Tilleys Z06) that means a lot. There has been so many twists and turns since she first arrived it was cool getting to re-read it all. Your run-downs of all of us is pretty funny I cant believe I am going to say this, but in Gregs defense, I am pretty sure Mike asked him to call some people (not sure about who specifically) to collect some money that week as we were hurting as I remember it. Obviously he didnt tell him to call up and be a complete dick, but he may have asked him to call. Of course the ear-full I got from you after the Kilkare day is just Greg being Greg. Just be thankful that he wasnt close by for the majority of that day/night. I only bring it up since I dont want this post turning into yet another IPS / Greg bitch-fest. Again, thanks so much for all the kind words and you and Angie have a very Happy Holiday Jeff
  12. That is actually what was done (ordered twice) and received zero. No finger pointing or excuses. My vendor dropped the ball and thus I dropped the ball for you. I take full responsibility for that. Jeff
  13. I do too. I think I have over 300 in stock right now but just didnt have the 2.75" straight he was looking for. PS -- your polishing is done Jeff
  14. I explained to you the problem with the coupler and I will take the hit on behalf of Hose Techniques. I can post a copy of the invoice with a single 2.75" coupler on it (yours) and the date I was charged (same date you ordered it). They sent 200+ couplers on that invoice and yours was no where. We went thru 100+ 3" straights and 3" to 2 3/4" reducers to find it (twice) and it wasnt there. I let you know this and let you know I would have HT get something shipped ASAP for charging me and not shipping it. Not only was it never shipped the second time, they have yet to email me back about why it was shipped either time. It may show up any day now... Yes, as the end result you wait 2+ weeks for a single coupler that still to this day isnt in and we look like we gave you the run around. I apologize for the outcome 100%. If you are questioning whether it was ever ordered just say the word and I will toss up the invoice with the date and your coupler right on it. Suppliers arent perfect and this instance they made me look pretty bad. Again, my apologies... Jeff
  15. Thank you. Seriously. All my posts yesterday were nothing but of a positive and "Best intentions" nature until I woke up this morning to read all the complete BS that had been posted. I didnt want to add anything myself as Gregs intentions were very transparent but even I gave in today. Im done now. Oh, and Happy Holidays Jeff
  16. Because its the dumbest thing I have ever heard lol. OMG. Hell, you might as well try to convince me my dad is cheating on my mom with Kate Moss LOL.
  17. Yes, IMs and emails all day yesterday talking about my wife is much more professional...
  18. LOL -- you are too funny. Just like Greg, too big a pansy to pick up the phone or come down here and talk in person but can talk shit on the net all day. You go girl!
  19. I have watched CSI enough times to know you start with someone with a motive. Who could you have possibly pissed off? Oh wait, nevermind, I dont even think they would take the case... I paid to have "2JZ No Shit" shaved into the skunk. If its not there I want my money back lol. Jeff
  20. We didnt tune his car last year but thanks for playing. Even if we had, John would be the first person to tell you that running a 200 shot on pump gas on a very cool night wouldnt be something he would do again in rectrospect. Jeff
  21. Nothing fancy yet but just put a quickie vid to show she's up and running. Dyno vids will be coming soon! http://ipsmotorsports.net/pictures/tilleyttzo6.wmv
  22. I know it doesnt, but if my vote counted Id leave this one open and delete the other. Jeff
  23. Damn I am glad Brett didnt post that lol. Jeff
  24. I thought I saw your car at trails sunday and then saw it make a pass. It ran like 14.0s so I was like mayyyybe not Good to hear its moving forward again. I think your engine build has been going on as long as Tilleys. Jeff
  25. LOL -- did you watch the vid? Second pass on a dead clutch netted 11.4 @ 114. Im no drag-racing expert but had it not failed I think it would have trapped just a wee bit higher than the previous pass that was almost 2 seconds slower in terms of ET Oh, and had it not coasted thru the traps that 11.4 would have been just a tiny bit quicker as well. Mabye. Just a hair faster. Tenth or two... Jeff
