My friend lives near Destin, he said it's been pretty much mask off the entire time...

Holy shit this. What a perfect opportunity to talk about people taking better care of themselves, totally pissed away this past year. There are people at my work that won't work in close spaces with others because they are high risk, yet they haven't lost any weight nor done shit to improve their lifestyle and become less "high risk".

Anyone owned an Audi S7? I've been thinking hard on selling my G8 lately and only have a few cars I'd consider replacing it with. The Audi S7 is at the top of the list. I'm a big fan of the body style and that hatchback. Has anyone owned one, have some insight about them? I know about the issue with the screens for the turbos, that's about it.

Can anyone recommend a good person / company to do a full bathroom remodel? Someone that actually calls you back and wants the work? We had a lot of issues just getting someone to do our kitchen last year. I don't want that hassle again.

Chris Rock said it best in one of his stand up skits many years ago: "You can't stop crazy." I've said that for years. Make all the laws you want, but if you want the freedom we have in our country, that's the risk you run. Some asshole doing something crazy.

When I had electric heat, with my older home, when it got let's say less than 15 degrees at night, I had a hell of time just keeping it at 63-64. The gas heat has been amazing at keeping it right where it needs to be. I also close a lot of the downstairs off, to help keep heat in certain areas. There would have been no way in hell I could have kept my house at 74 when it was as cold as it was the last few weeks. Now I would not have a problem if I really wanted it that warm. I have had this same thought, like maybe do a two stage step in the morning? So from 64 to 67 and then an hour or two later, go from 67 to 70. My old setup with the electric heat, I kept it at 68. I think anything more than that was futile. Now I keep at 70 because first off, I can actually do that now, and secondly, the wife likes it better at that temp when she's home during the day and it's cold.

I just converted to gas heat back in October, I've had three bills so far: 47 ccf in November for $58 104 ccf in December for $87 109 ccf in January for $85 My house is 2300 square feet, built in 1990, I keep it at 70 during the day (wife is home with kids) and turn it down to 64 between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. I also got brand new windows about 2 years ago and use a Nest thermostat which will turn down the temps when it senses we're not home.

When I was 105 pounds heavier, I would take the cold any day over the heat. Now that I'm much thinner, I'll take the heat any day. Fact: Fat people don't like the heat

We got maybe 4 inches total in Powell. It was a lot of sleet though. Shoveling would have been easier this morning if it was just white and fluffy.
-
So 5.5 hours into the "snow" and it's mostly sleet and little snowballs here in Powell. I just shoveled, but there was only maybe 1.5 inches on it. I'd rather shovel more than once, hence I went and did it now, and will again tomorrow. Especially if we were supposed to get an ass ton of snow. It's supposed to slow down around 1:00 AM, so I'm just not seeing anything close to 5-8" happening.
-
Weather Underground just completely changed their forecast, now it's saying just 1-3 inches with it ending around 1:00 AM. This is for Powell.

More snow coming on Thursday too, WTF. If I wanted weather like this, I'd move back to upstate New York. Fuck this.

Top Stitch in Plain City. He did my Mustang seats a couple of years ago. Great work, great guy.
-
I hate this weather. There's a reason (well a lot of them) I'll never move back to New York. Give me 40's for winter all day long.

I really like the basis of this idea, basically taking the current engine block and refreshing, plus adding to it. And some of your suggestions, I already have done, including gears, exhaust, shifter, etc. I really appreciate this, thanks! Keep the ideas coming guys, I appreciate it. And don't let my pics fool you, it needs a repaint for sure. I took those with the best angles and sunlight possible.

Bob from Professional Trade Services: https://professionaltradeservice.com/ He just put my new gas furnace (I had electric heat before this) in back in October. Awesome guy, great work and prices. He's kinda busy sometimes, so he can hard to get a hold of, but I totally recommend him.

So I've owned my near stock 1986 Mustang GT since 2004, by far the longest I've ever owned a car. I've always kept it with the notion that sooner or later I'd build an engine /transmission for it, get it painted, etc. I believe that time is soon. I don't have the experience to actually build the engine or do a lot of the work myself, at this point in my life I'd rather just pay someone / a company to do it and do it right. The goal here is not to go nuts with power or money, I'd rather just have a healthy NA Mustang, where I can retain the stock hood and look. The original 302 needs to go, it leaks / burns some oil and it's got around 115K on it now. The car itself is in great shape, some spotty rust here and there, but a really decent driver. I also don't want to go totally nuts on it where I'm afraid to drive it because it's too nice. So I'm thinking engine, transmission, wheels / tires (get rid of those 4 lugs), interior refresh (dash pad, not sure what else), and a paint job while fixing some of the rust issues. I'd be interested in hearing what everyone thinks I should do, and maybe some local options for a shop to do the work? Here are some recent pics for those who have not seen it: http://wease.net/86/7-2019/86-1.jpg http://wease.net/86/7-2019/86-2.jpg http://wease.net/86/7-2019/86-3.jpg http://wease.net/86/7-2019/86-4.jpg

I pay $200 for a solid 5 months or so of storage on one of my cars. Basically whenever I want to drop it off and pick it up. It's in a locked pole barn, with a couple other cars, nothing special, but it's out of the way for the winter.

Performers wearing masks = lame.
-
Isn't that outside? Outside shouldn't mean shit. It's the indoor gatherings that are the issue. Unless you're just in a huge mass of people, you know, like the fucking riots they had...
-
Lack of hospital staff is most likely the reason. My sister in law is a nurse for Ohio Health, she keeps me in the loop on a lot of this, the shit the media won't report on. She's never been concerned by the number of cases, and always points out that the hospitalization and death rates had stayed low for the Summer and early Fall. However now with cases on the rise and those rates starting to creep up, they are starting to worry about that manpower issue. When someone is out because they are sick and shouldn't be at work, now that puts additional pressure on those that can be at work. Right now this is what seems to be her concern.

Same thing with my uncle years ago who caught the flu. There's risk in the world no matter what you do.
-
Let me also be clear, the places that I've been in Franklin and Delaware county, everyone indoors has a mask. I haven't seen a non mask wearer in months. I believe most are doing their part in our nearby counties. This 100%. I haven't believed that it's as serious as "they" make it out to be since it started. And my relatives who are medical professionals also back me up on this. If you're high risk, then stay away from people. If you're not, then get on with your life.
