  1. And spikes in new cases are often caused by ramped up testing, but they never report on that...
  2. Average number of cases in Georgia has been going down, since they reopened: https://rt.live/
  3. Thought this was an interesting read: https://canadafreepress.com/article/a-wizard-of-oz-virus-the-covid-19-hoax
  4. The two courts near me have had people on them and no one is getting kicked off. I only know this because I wanted to go play some roller hockey on them, but they were way too busy...
  5. Tennis? You should be good to go, I've seen people on tennis courts now without issues.
  6. So the Stay At Home is extended for another month. Restaurants, bars, gyms, etc. to remain closed. Fuck me.
  7. I have a Pixel 2, my wife has a Pixel 4. They've been great phones. Neither one has a traditional auxiliary port, but they both came with one of these adapters: The Pixel 4a is about to be released in May, which should drop the price of the 3a and the 4. I believe the Pixel 5 is due out in the Fall, but I doubt you want to wait that long.
  8. Yeah fuck their note. It's completely possible that the wife was taking the baby to his actual father and the step father was bringing him home. And your kids are too loud outside? Again, go pound sand...
  9. Is that real, did someone legit get that?
  10. Can you find that for me? I didn't see that...
  11. And this came out today as well: NEW YORK (AP) — More evidence is emerging that far more New Yorkers have had the coronavirus than the number confirmed by lab tests, officials said Thursday. A state survey of about 3,000 people found that nearly 14% had antibodies, suggesting they had been exposed to the virus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said at his daily news briefing. In New York City, the epicenter of the pandemic in the U.S., 21% of the people tested had antibodies.
  12. Not a fan of Bill, but this really is a great listen, excellent points here:
  13. I think people keep forgetting the initial reason for the shutdowns and stay at home orders. It was to slow the spread and allow the hospitals to ramp up their PPE and facilities for incoming patients. Right now there are 1100 unused hospital beds at the Columbus Convention Center. Since my gym is closed, I walk (or rollerblade) past this most every day during my work day. There is a third party electrical company there to help with the power aspect. I talked to one of the workers one day about it. He said they're just getting ready for an explosion in patients, if any. I think it's a great sign for our city that it hasn't come to this. Sooner rather than later, we have to get back to some sort of normality. Having facilities like this one at the ready is what will make that transition better. Every time I turn on the damn news, they report that the sky is falling in NYC and Detroit. Very rarely do they talk about anything else, and I find that annoying as hell.
  14. I've had two of them and for me, they were surprisingly reliable, so maybe I got lucky. Both were owned by older guys who really took care of them. I think the worst thing that happened to my first one was that the fuel pump died, which actually was a common thing. They are fun to drive, for what they are, a 20+ year old car now. Both were decent daily drivers and definitely something different.
  15. This needs quoted because it's super important. Very cool findings...
  16. Their governor is out of her mind with banning the boating thing. How much more social distancing can you have, being out on a boat on a lake fishing?!
  17. Is this for Ohio or for all states? Some places just seem too hot to open up in 2 weeks (NYC for one). I was on the phone this morning with one of our manufacturing plants in Virginia and they said their governor is looking at keeping the "Stay At Home" order until August. Good fucking luck with that...
  18. Stick with the May 1st date to start getting back to normal. If you're in that group that's going to be at risk, then you get to stay home for a while longer.
  19. Some interesting information from a good friend of mine (we served in the Air Force together), his uncle was in the hospital back in mid January for a bad respiratory infection. This was in Birmingham Alabama. Doctors were stumped, but he got better and kicked it. Last week he went back in for a follow up, had the antibody test for COVID-19 and sure enough, tested positive. More proof positive that this was here in the US before the first "official" case on Jan. 20.
  20. Thanks for posting this. I believe the media drives so much of this panic. They really seem to focus on the small percentage of those that are having major issues with it.
  21. I don't give a fuck, as long as they open my gym back up...
  22. So I've been keeping track of Ohio's numbers for the past few days, and our state does seem to be "flattening the curve": 4043 on 4/5 3739 on 4/4 3312 on 4/3 2904 on 4/2 2400 on 4/1 I need to do some more research and see what I can find for the days prior to 4/1.
  23. I agree with you. I just believe there are far more people that got it, are getting it, have it now, etc. and are staying home to fight it off. Not everyone is running off to get tested. You should only be tested if you are going to the hospital because you need that level of attention. Otherwise, stay at home and fight the good fight.
  24. This is what I've been saying for a couple weeks now. It's been here, there have been cases that have gone unnoticed, and people have been fighting it off. I don't doubt that it's serious, but the death rate and recovery numbers are not nearly as bad as it's being made out to be.
  25. My guess is that they still want paid, so they are pushing ahead with their duties until told otherwise.
