54 and sunny tomorrow...

My brother flew in this past weekend to pick up his silver 2003 Mustang Cobra. He bought it in Detroit over Thanksgiving weekend and I was keeping it here for him until the weather got better (ha-ha) and he could drive it back to Denver. We figured it might be the only time our cars are ever together, so we washed them all and got some decent pics of them in my back yard. In attendance were the following: My 1986 Mustang GT My 1998 SVT Contour My 2003 Dark Shadow Grey Cobra My brother's 2003 Silver Metallic Cobra http://www.wease.net/Fords/Cobras1.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Cobras2.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Cobras3.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Cobras4.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Mustangs1.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Mustangs2.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Mustangs3.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Fords1.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Fords2.JPG http://www.wease.net/Fords/Fords3.JPG

What are you in school for? What degree do you have and what do you do?
Wease replied to 2pointslow's topic in Dumpster
Computer Science degree, senior software engineer at Abbott Labs, 13+ years experience, which includes 4 years active duty Air Force... -
Meh, it won't amount to anything and it will be back into the 50's and 60's in two days...

That's my point, Tommy.

It's Dark Shadow Grey and now has the chrome rims on it, but this is it: http://www.wease.net/My_DSG/My_DSG2.JPG

Oh boy, where to start: First off, thanks to Brian, who took me in on short notice yesterday. I can't give Brian enough credit for his work. He's professional, know his stuff, and is willing to answer any questions you have or help in anyway. Brian's dyno'd both my Mustangs and my Formula and I'd trust him with a Ferrari, if I owned one. Dyno Tune Motorsports is the place to go if you need a tune or pulls. Thanks again Brian! And yes, my air filter seriously needs to be cleaned and/or changed out. The car is just a blast to drive. Not that it wasn't before, but even more so now. Night and day difference with that pulley swap. And hell, it only took me two years and three months to get it done. Seriously, that's how long I've had the pullies in my garage! But I am more than happy with its numbers and performance on the street. I do NOT consider me or my car a Dyno Queen. Sure, it makes good numbers for its mods, but I don't talk it up being something that it's not on the street, nor do I really give a F about its numbers. I've got an IRS brace and springs to go on next, so maybe I'll bring it out to the Fall track day. I broke so much crap with my Formula, it really got me gun shy about racing a car really hard at the track. Especially a $20K Cobra. Anyway, the car's great and I scared the shit out of my father in it yesterday. He's in from out of town and had never been in my car before. Hell, he had never been in anything that fast before. So he got the royal treatment and enjoyed it with its new power...

Getting like $43 back from Federal and owe the State $437...

That's true, but I think he meant just current owners...

Nice car. I've got one of those, too. It's been my daily driver for the past 1.5 years when I don't drive either of my Mustangs. It's a fun car, probably my favorite daily driver I've ever owned...

Correction to Wease, he owns two SVT vehicles: 2003 Cobra 1998 Contour

Sigh. Another case of "Doesn't apply to Wease because he doesn't speed more than 10 over the limit". Follow that rule and your chances of being pulled over are decreased dramatically...

I posted in the other thread, but I'll post here too, since it's getting more traffic. It's crazy that it takes something like this to get the real Old School guys out here. Seeing some names I haven't seen in a while. I am sick over this. Kenny was one of the funniest guys I've ever met on CR. A definite "Old School" member, before the days of CR. He was still in high school when I met him back in 2001. I know this sounds weird, but I was really proud of him when he went back to school and graduated from DeVry and got that first programming job. We had talked online a few times about going back to school and it was cool seeing him hit the point where he realized whatever job he was at then, wasn't going to pay the bills for his racing habit. I encouraged him to go back and told him a lot about what I did for a living. I hadn't physically seen him in a few years, but I talked to him often via PM's. I cried a bit this morning thinking about him and what he meant to CR and countless other message boards. You want a straight up opinion without any sugar? Ask Kenny. He would have given it to you. I'm up for a cruise, Steak & Shake, etc. Would be cool to hang at a place that was really early CR. RIP Kenny, I'll miss you buddy...

With tickets starting to be harder to get, I jumped on 4 upper level tickets for $20 each a few weeks ago...

If Mason gets hot in the playoffs, look out Western Conference. The Jackets (for once) have depth and can roll 4 effective lines. Hopefully Chimera and Modin get healthy for the playoffs. I have one more game I'm going to this year, the April 5th game against Chicago...

I know, I want my stuff too...

Don't forget, I need that harness too. And maybe the headers and 4 Pony rims. I'm thinking about it.

Yup. I'll be in 201 or 211, I can't remember which...

Anything you can tell me about them? Good or bad?

Milliron Auto Parts in Mansfield. There's a 2000 Explorer 5.0 there with 69K miles for just $437. Pretty cheap already, but you never know...

Can you bargain the price of something at a junk yard? I'm looking at purchasing an Explorer 5.0 for my Mustang. I was wondering if anyone has been able to bargain down the price of something of that value at a junk yard before...

Let me tell you, it's a freak show...

Vermette will play center. He was 14-0 the other night in the faceoff circle. It's a good move for the Jackets, but I believe if and only if Leclaire continues to have health issues. Not that I wish that upon him, but the CBJ also threw in a 2nd rounder, so that's the insurance policy that he might not regain form. Still, it should be an interesting next 20 or so games...

Yup, it's new. I sold a hockey stick a few weeks ago and had to wait for the guy to confirm that he got it and give me good feedback to release my funds. It sucks...
