  1. For a while it would have been my other '86 GT (had it in 1995, 60K miles, all stock, great shape, but some rust), but then in 2004 I bought my current '86 GT, which had more miles, but is just a nicer car. So I'd have to say my 1993 Cobra. Had 45K miles in 1996, I was living in Biloxi, MS at the time, active duty Air Force. Bought it from some guy over in Alabama. He had only changed the exhaust. I was really new at modding cars, so I didn't even touch it. Owned it for about 6 months. Some stupid c*** hit it in a parking lot, right out in front of my barracks. Messed it up pretty bad in the back. From the day I bought it, I had this SP (Security Police) on me about selling it to him, so as soon as it was hit, I asked him if he wanted it. It wasn't the same after it had been hit, and I was really having a tough time paying for it and the insurance on my measly Air Force salary. So I sold it. I don't really regret selling it, but it would have been nice to keep it because those damn cars are so hard to find in nice shape for a decent price. I'd love to get another one, but I just don't want to pay the asking prices for a nice, not beat on, 1993 Cobra... Here's a pic: http://www.wease.net/pics/Cobra1.jpg
  2. Old thread, but I went there today for lunch. Good burgers, very tasty. Not happy about spending $10 on the meal though, but that's because I'm a cheap bastard. I tell you what, there are some seriously overweight people eating there. Those are the people who should not be eating that for lunch...
  3. There is little doubt in my mind that life as we know it exists on other planets somewhere out there. However, "life" is a broad term. I'm talking at least just simple bacteria. Intelligent life, on a level such as human beings, I'm not so sure. But at the very least, there's something out there that we would consider "life". Heck, they are still trying to find evidence that some sort of life existed on Mars and they might do it within our lifetimes...
  4. I really hope you recover well, sorry to hear about this...
  5. Well first off, I can't go to the 7:00 A.M. one because I wouldn't get to work on time. Secondly, I can't stand Dublin's ice. It sucks. And finally, the 6:00 A.M. Friday Drop In is the best one all week. Best players, best ice, best game. I look forward to that all week. And I can't stand getting up early. But I love it Friday because I get to play...
  6. Post something up about a Drop In, what one we'd like to go to and see who can show up. I currently go to at least two Drop In's a week right now...

    Who here Don't Drink

I rarely drink. I might have a beer at a hockey game, or if I'm on vacation somewhere. I don't even keep alcohol in my house. I don't have anything against drinking, it's just not a part of my life. Plus there are more than a few alcoholics in my family, so it's not something I care to tempt. I also have enough problems trying to stay in shape without adding alcohol to the mix. So, I'd say on average I drink maybe 6 times a year? New Years, a few hockey games, and maybe if I'm in Vegas or Aruba or the 1000 Islands on vacation. But it's definitely not a habit for me...
  8. I'd love to play, but there's no way they'd let me play in a D league game. Sounds fun though, good luck!

    The Playoffs

If it's anything like the last Detroit - Columbus game I was at, I'll be yapping with more than a few Detroit fans. A few of them got pissed me at me for giving Osgood shit and I fired right back at them. I can't stand Detroit or their fans in OUR arena...
  10. I wish more people on CR understood that. I figured out a long time ago I'd rather blow my extra cash on my 401K and my summer home than build any of my cars up. It's just not worth it. I'd rather retire at 50 then dump a bunch of cash into my cars...

    The Playoffs

I'm MUCH happier about the Jackets playing Detroit in the first round over Vancouver. The Canucks are hot and I wouldn't want to travel or play Luongo right now. Detroit is beatable, especially with their goaltending this year. Neither Conklin nor Osgood impress me. This is a winnable series for sure...
  12. Right. So it's business as usual...
  13. Nah, most of the time they are in the garage...

    The Playoffs

He IS a season ticket holder. I already wrote that. They gave season ticket holders for next year the same benefits as those for this year. If they plunked down the money now, they also got to order playoff tickets early.
  15. I went through one of those once, slurred my speach and everything, to see what would happen. They pulled me out of the car and gave me the test and couldn't understand why I was stone sober. In my still slurring voice, I told him "Thaaat'ssss the waaaaay I taaaaalk asssssshoooole..."

    The Playoffs

No, Game 3, as in Game 3 of the playoffs. Game 1 and Game 2 are at the opposing team's arena. Game 3 is the first home game for the Jackets...

    The Playoffs

Got them from a future PSL holder. He bought season tickets for next year and was given the opportunity to buy playoff tickets, just like you. I paid $100 for them, which is about $8 less than I would have paid had I tried to buy them tomorrow morning, once you factor in all the TicketBastard fees. They say "Game 3" on them and TBD for the date and team. They aren't going to wait to print them after they find out who the opposing team is. So they tickets you bought, you don't have them? Or they haven't sent them to you yet?

    The Playoffs

I just scored my tickets off of Craigslist for LESS than it would have cost me on Saturday morning...

    The Playoffs

I'll be getting tickets Saturday morning when they go on sale...
  20. Did it used to be the Flower Garbage headquarters? What does your shop specialize in?
  21. Very close. The only shop I know of that's on Home Rd. between those two is the one that has the Jaguars. Is that it? Or maybe I'm missing one...
  22. I believe it depends on who made the emblem. My brother's car (the silver one) already had it on there when he bought it. So I'm guessing you can get one that faces either way...
  23. They were taken in my back yard, which is west Powell / southern Delaware...
