YMCA in Powell. It's cheap, I pay $72 a month for a family membership. They have a fair amount of equipment (I rarely wait for anything and I normally go after work during the week, so that's a busy time), three pools (one indoor), and it's a nice, new facility. Some YMCA's can be old and run down, but not this one. And I'm a cheap bastard, so this works well for me...

Actually both spellings are correct. For example, if you learned English in Canada, "defence" is how they spell it... :nod:

I haven't for years, but I am this upcoming session. New team on Monday night's B league. I normally just do the Drop In's. :nod: And yes, that call was total BS last night. I'm still pissed.

I've always thought the Big Eagle was more expensive than Kroger, hence I always shopt at Kroger and use their discount on their gas... :nod:

That won't happen for at least a year or two. Pazzy is still questionable due to his injuries, on whether or not he'll be able to stay a healthy, quality goaltender. And Mason is just too young to throw all this on him. If they both can maintain high levels of play for a year or two, one of them will probably get traded. And FYI, Norrena is not in the minors, he chose not to report, so he is being released from his contract. He'll go back to Europe and play or retire... :nod:

I figured out years ago to put some money into a savings account each paycheck. Nothing crazy, but enough so that it covers two things for the year: 1. My summer vacation to the 1000 Islands in New York 2. Christmas presents Since I started doing that and I make my wife stick to a budget with that money, it works out well... :nod:

It's one of two things, most often: 1. They drive slower than they need to and in the wrong lane. 2. They drive way too fast and you see them in the ditch a few miles down the road. I've learned that when I'm going to slow down on the highway in crappy weather, I tap my brakes a few times, so the people behind me will see that they might want to think about slowing down as well. If I do that early enough, it wakes them up and they slow down too. And I can't stand people that tailgate in crappy weather...

I think most of this is hitting southeast of Columbus...

No offense taken. I'm from New York, by the way. Not the city though. I've been before though. It's cool, I just wouldn't want to live there. Personally I just couldn't fathom living there and such a huge percentage of my take home pay going for rent. Yeah, RENT. I know a guy who graduated from OSU, got married, took a job in Chicago and not even a year later, his wife got laid off and they can't afford their $1800 a month rent. That's more than my mortgage! So they are moving back here, but are still on the hook for 6 more months of rent. Ouch. Anyway, you will make whatever decision you want, but my $0.02 is to stay away from the big cities if you want to get a leg up on everyone else. But if you go, have a good time...

Why NYC? Do you realize how far behind you will put yourself in terms of saving for retirement, just by living in NYC and having to pay out the ass to live? I'm just curious...
