  1. Not necessarily what I meant Shanton. Theres some skill required, but you have to admit its much more difficult to launch a car from a dig. Your car has to be a handful on the highway, and I can understand where you are coming from but in general, roll racing can eliminates IMO the hardest part of digging.
  2. that's just a 79 toyota ute.. Those things are hard to find
  3. True story.. American trucks < Japaneseeseeese
  4. I'm still having a hard time agreeing with everyone's suggestions, while providing some kind of advice or suggestion of my own. I come up with possible cars I could recommend but I think no matter what you choose, it will let you down in one aspect or another. That's one thing I hate about automakers and cars in general, they're all appealing in some way but none of them are fantastic in every way possible. For example, take a look at my 1980 Corolla.. I know people are like, "Why in the hell?" Or, "What a slow piece of shit." But the end of the day I bought the car for myself and the qualities that I personally find appealing. It's fucking cake to work on, extremely reliable once I get it together, light and agile but god damn it's slow. I would never consider it fast, maybe quick, but never fast which is disappointing when I see everyone racing and competing to be the fastest on the boards and etc. Only thing I can really say is get what YOU want, I won't tell you what to get because obviously my taste in cars can differ quite a bit than what you may typically go for. we need a 2 cents smilie lol.
  5. Doh, that's what I figured. My brother could barely use his PC without the 2GB on Vista and I was given a little bit up hope by this thread, only to be let down I'd upgrade if my car and school didn't completely take up my time and money, lol.
  6. IMO, roll racing just gives shitty drivers a better chance lol :thumbdown
  7. After I saw how hard vista was on my brother's new PC I decided to keep XP, but if it's better I may consider switching.. I'm still a bit weary about my PC specs running it though. 2ghz AMD with 1gig RAM Radeon 512 X850 PRO card.. I'm worried about the RAM issues my brother had.
  8. played it once, and my average was .18 even.
  9. reminds me of the kid with the beemer that couldnt find his oil filler cap and just put a sock in the hole temporarily and when it got sucked into the camshafts he didn't know what to do/what happened lol.
  10. just curious, think they could source me a complete engine harness?
  11. you can do better than that Sam.

  13. I'm glad I could help you out buddy
  14. Well, driving an automatic luxury sedan wouldn't have been fun, and my corolla isnt drivable yet so I opted to take my brother's protoge which is 5spd. Yeah, all of the stops and corner shops were open. So many cool things to see and do there.
  15. The video was sped up to keep it interesting since the entire ride through the tail is about 20 minutes, and the huge loop we did was about 3 hours. BUT, I would say on average we were going anywhere between 60-90mph. The posted signs were usually 35-40mph. Supposedly there are certain months where the patrolling is to a minimum and we actually got lucky. The locals said in the next week or two there will start to be about 15-18 cars patrolling the tail until the rest of the year. Our entire trip I think I saw two cops and none of them bothered us even when we were goign 20 over.
  16. Well, Last weekend I went to the Tail of the Dragon for my first time with my buddy Eugene, who had been telling me about a group of members from VWvortex.com were meeting there, and encouraged me to go with him. To sum up the trip in one word, it was amazing. The smokey mountains are beautiful and you wouldn't believe the driving I did there. The VW group that I went with was a lot of fun and I would definately make the 10 hour trip there again. The video basically summarizes the entire trip from beginning to end. Our trip there, meeting up with the VW group, heading up the mountains, running into fog, running the tail with the entire group, leaving robinsville going through the tail one last time and our trip home.. check it out 56k'ers eat your heart out, here's the video: OH, and there's good music in the video too If you don't know the, "Tail" I'm talking about, refer to the picture below: http://patriotgetaways.com/images/autotour004.jpg
  17. Exactly, I don't want a PDA that can't make calls..
  18. Judgement Day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXQTzJgU6qc
  19. Like what? Anything/everything I have seen still has the lame analogue feel, and would never take the place of my Iphone. The Voyager was supposed to be direct competition to the Iphone from my understanding, and although it is impressive for a Verizon phone, it still can't compare. Unless something else comes out that is 100% touch screen and can offer what the Iphone does plus one, then it'll never be beat.. sorry to say it. I thought long and hard about not having an Iphone anymore, and I don't think I could go back to a regular phone where you physically touch the buttons.. just couldn't do it. Not to mention new features and etc are constantly being introduced for the Iphone which always upgrade and allow more functions to be performed. You just can't do that with any other phone, this thing is so robust and perfect for just about anything. The newest update for the Iphone is going to be really impressive from my understanding here in the next month or two, so we'll see .
