whoever the douchebag is in the red 3000gt, you need to quit driving around the parking lots like speed racer. Your car isn't cool, it sounds like shit and I hope your brokedick suspension falls apart so you can't annoy everyone with your riceness... K thnx bye
  2. I like Body Language off Hamilton.. pretty talented guys
  3. I wasn't bashing anyone except stating the given facts I have come across. If he promised you they would clean up or not, I understand how you feel. Yeah, buyer beware.. but regardless of how nice someone may be, don't be so naive.. especially when it comes to something as significant as $300, and now, wasted time and gas.. Some people have to learn the hard way, I know I have.. a couple times. Every sale or purchase I make is like playing 120 questions trying to find out if anything is legit anymore. BTW, dont take it personal, this is the kitchen.. if you can't take the heat, get out
  4. I simply think zane isnt at fault here and it was the buyers own fault for being in the position he is in. I'm just stating the facts, its common sense to look out for yourself these days. I apologize if thats offending anyone but calling someone out on a fault like this is touchy IMO. And you're right, this should have been taken care of discreetly.

  6. What, you think I didn't already notice that? They probably have a couple 10k into the motor, I'm pretty sure they can figure out a way to make wider tires fit.
  7. Didn't see any gaurantees in that thread either.
  8. After the sale, this was supposedly stated..
  9. Judging from the videos it looks like there is still room inside the fender for a wider tire, not to mention you can get wider wheels with a better offset to sink some fatter tires as well..
  10. Well imagine doing an entire car.. you're looking closer to about 5,000 dollars for a decent to good paintjob. labor is where they will rape you, that's why I said depending how much effore you wanna put into prepping the car before paint helps out a lot. You could probably get it done at MAACO for cheaper but I'm assuming you dont want something that looks terrible. I would never recommend them anyways since they use an enamel based paint which will give you nothing but nightmares in the future.
  11. I should've been clearer with my statement  Why don't they put wider tires on their vehicle to increase the contact patch?
  12. In other words, cover your own ass.. everyone wants something for nothing.
  13. I'm sorry but i'm agreeing with muscles too.. used items are typically sold AS-IS. If you were concerned that they wouldn't clean, why would you even consider buying them? You took the gamble of purchasing them not knowing if they would clean up or not. I don't know how much you paid for them but my guess is you didn't pay nearly as much as a clean set would cost, which is a risk you took upon yourself. You get what you pay for is really what I'm going ot say. on the other hand, I read that you said he stated they were, "cleanable" however was this really agreed upon before hand that if they weren't infact, "cleanable" after sale he would refund you the money? It would have been smart on your part to have him sign a bill of sale with specific details of what the deal is if you were really that concerned.
  14. 1000-2000 depending on how much effort and time you put into it yourself I would imagine.
  15. why don't they put bigger slicks on it? I figured they probably did that because of driveline shock, and preventing from destroying stuff but you gotta pay to play man.
  16. Well, it pretty much took all day and a lot of elbow grease. If I had the porter cable buffer I do now I probably could have done it much quicker, but it wasn't terrible I should say. Considering how horrible the paint was when I got the car, I probably restored it close to 80%. If I did a bit more buffing I'm sure I could have done better but I was already extremely satisfied.
  17. I buffed my old 86 Corolla when I got it by hand with a polishing compound and some wax and it turned out pretty damn good... most people never had an idea that it was oxidized as bad as it was(pretty much like a chalkboard). I might have some pictures on my other PC but it's currently down due to a PSU going bad.
  18. Techs who say they're making 90-100k a year are lying to you.. very seldomly are there techs making that much. I could see an actual service MANAGER making that much, but not an advisor either.
  19. Are you looking at the XS Power kit for your na-t conversion? I was considering going that route on my 2GS but that won't be for some time. Were you planning on upgrading the diff and tranny? The corolla is getting a 20v ST dressed with a bunch of BT parts bumped up compression and standalone etc.
  20. How do you plan on making your 500whp goal? Looks like my brother's SC300 with a 1JZGTTE swap... I'm sure he'll chime in here soon.
