In all seriousness, I assumed such was the case. But what can I do IF the dog gets ahold of mine?
-
Considering buying a gun in the event it even touches either of my dogs. Legality?

So to start, recently bought a house in Blacklick and both neighbors beside me are pretty friendly, as well as the two neighbors behind me, including the one I'm having trouble with. The yards all butt up to eachother where most have fenced them in for dogs. My developement is within an HOA and the row of houses behind me are in a under a different HOA. The common thing between the two HOAs is that we are not allowed to have 6' privacy fences, and stuck with your average 4' fences. I have two Pugs, which are obviously pretty small dogs, and the adjacent lot behind me has a 9 month old German Shepherd, which I'm estimating is already bordering 70-80lbs. This German Shepherd is farily friendly to people and gets along with the dogs while they're on their respective sides of the fence, however, it has a really bad habit of jumping these 4" fences into other peoples' yards. Since I moved in, in the beginning of July, I've witnessed the dog jump the fence into my own yard on two different occasions. The first time neither of my dogs were out, the second time both my dogs were out and the German Shepherd became aggressive- growling and raising the hair on it's back while bearing it's teeth at the two pugs that were startled. Aside from those two occasions, I've witnessed the German Shepherd jump the fence and run around in the street and run around in other peoples' yards on multiple occasions. The owners, while being friendly, never apologize or even seem to care when it happens. I had to yell to get their attention the second time their dog came into my yard while trying to keep the dogs seperated. They usually sit outside when they let the dog out, and really don't pay much attention to it. So, that being said, I'm really not sure what I'm in a position to do. I told them I can't have their dog jumping the fence when my dogs are out because they're basically defenseless, with no chance against a German Shepherd. I feel I made it pretty clear, and after yelling at them this past time, I'm not sure they really "get it." WWCRD? TL;DR -Dog jumps 4' fence into my yard -Worried about their dog attacking mine -Neighbors don't really seem to care what their dog does

I'll take it.. Pm you in a sec

Makes twin-turbo Lambo, posts video of it FINALLY starting and merely rolling around a parking lot, doesn't bother fixing tail light bulb that's out... Talk about attention to detail. Nobody cares if it starts and idles, a pull or two would be worth noting. I can't wait for the excuses to start flying as to why no 2000hp mark, back out of UGR races, and excuses why this car mysteriously disappears or car fire.

Yup, that's the upgrade I plan on making after I work on some necessary preventative maintenance that I feel needs done for my piece of mind, first. But I much prefer the late style teardrops than the flag mirrors. They just flow with the curves of the body much better.

Wouldn't touch it. As soon as you say rust, people become disinterested.

CR: Complain about taxes that pay for inmates, get mad when inmate kills self. The fucker took his life, no punishment needed... I rather my money NOT go toward a fuckass like that. Thanks Ariel.

I agree with you completely.. much too minty for my taste. 964s came with two different mirrors in the period they were offered. The early ones had "flag" mirrors like mine, and I believe the split at '92 they came with the "tear drop" mirrors you're asking about. I much prefer the late style mirrors over the flag. It's one change I'm dead set on doing once I get around to it. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRdPzdkDARQ6P9gLH-OSxqsUNQOPQCqTUcFs5TOk2dOnsGPjLEB9pBtorPtLw No, but really.... nail on the head

Great work, I can't believe how fast you're bringing this together!

Vented hood?

Exactly. I won't state exact figures, but the GTI now has to be parted/sold to pay for the coils and wheels, to give you an idea, Clay. Pretty bummed about it, but I'll at least give myself until the end of the year to enjoy it. Hoping to get as many photos and etc. as I can while It's all one piece... Oh well http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5476/9544050243_aa46abaf91_c.jpg

Josh, I've actually looked into what would be involved.. and for an NA to be converted to a hi-pressure turbo setup would involve quite a bit, which I'm frankly not interested in getting into. TPC does make a bolt-on supercharger setup that produces a nice 100hp jump over stock that a lot of people have positive feedback about. Maybe down the line when I get money saved up again, but until then I'll enjoy the car for what it is.

Well, if everyone doesn't mind, I'm going to use this thread as a progress log for the 964. This is Rotiform Brian's car, the same car I actually posted earlier that was black on the gold BBS wheels and RSs. He had it shipped over to the UK and gone-over by a very well known shop called AP Car Design and then he went to a few big shows in Austria when he debuted it for the first time with the new color. Brian is one of the owners of Rotiform, which is a pretty big name in the wheel and automotive scene, but he's a newcomer to the Porsche "scene." He's made a pretty big impact as far as 964s go, and for people like me, can be a pretty good go-to for sourcing wheels. I was actually able to use my connections to get Brian's cell number and talk to him about my plans for the car, and I persuaded him to find, restore, and build me a set of E26s identical to the gold ones he had when the car was black. I made some slight adjustments to the offsets and sizing he had, but it's nearly identical to what he had. Another pic for reference: http://royal-origin.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/rotiform8.jpg You might be wondering what's so special about the E26, and why it's so hard to get ahold of. The Motorsport line of BBS wheels is a line of wheels that was typically purchased by top level motorsport teams for race application. GT cars, Lemans, Cup, you name it.. these are the wheels to have. The majority of them that have been offered and long discontinued like the E26s, all use Magnesium centers, very lightweight barrels and lips, and titanium hardware- very serious stuff. Because they were so pricey new, and usually only bought by racing teams, there are very limited quantities of them out in circulation. Only way I can justify having a set built, is the fact that I know I will have zero problem reselling them, IF I can find the heart to let them go lol. Brian is also a distributor for H&R coilovers, and because he has so many contacts, he has actually designed a coilover specifically for the 964 that can lower the car 3-4 inches from stock, and still retain the ride quality you'd expect of a well-built car. Of course I worked out a deal with him for the last set he had stateside SOOOOO, I'm patiently waiting for two expensive and exciting packages to arrive on my doorstep. I didn't intend on jumping in feet first this quick, but when wheels this rare and coilovers that normally take 6-8 months become available, I rather not lose the opportunity. TL;DR- I'm now poor Now, I've been sitting here trying to think of plate ideas... I've got a couple I like, but I'm also looking for suggestions. Here's what I have: farklefitment is my handle people seem to know me by on a lot of forums, as well as instagram A little hard for some to figure out. hint- read upside down. For jones- The crowd pleaser

Building my kid a lowered radio flyer wagon
Farkas replied to DaddyBuiltRacing's topic in Pics and Vids
So, when are you going to lower it? -
Would never waste my money on Forgelines... all of your choices look gaudy at best, and their hefty price tag just comes with the name. And for the love of god, stay away from double staggered wheels. My votes? Keep your CCWs.

I'm with you on that one. The 993 would be my choice of Porsches, but like you said, the prices just aren't coming down and it doesn't look like they're going to dip any further. The explosion of people suddenly buying Porsches because they're becoming more mainstream in media influenced me quite a bit. Not because I wanted one like everyone else, but I can't see the prices getting any cheaper. They're just going to go up from this point on, and maybe in 10-20 years I'll have doubled the price of my car in resale? I was actually debating a FR-S or 964 since they're close in value, but I think I've got a better resale value with the Porsche, any day. Might be wishful thinking, but I really don't see prices going down much further with popularity of the younger crowd increasing.

I'm confused.. Isn't the Esprit the equivalent of a clapped out Integra? :dumb: All joking aside, Esprit V8s have been a long time love for me. I guess you'll just have to hate me for it lol.

Well, the range is pretty wide depending on miles and condition, as well as the detail of records and maintenance it's previously received. I've read stories about people buying them as low as 12-14k and I've seen some examples sell for WELL over 30k for a narrow-body non-turbo. On average, most of them you come across will be right around 20-25k with a good inspection and reasonable miles like mine. I ended up taking mine home for 16k... I honestly still can't believe it.
