  1. I've been staring at this picture for a long time... the car in it's current state is really awful, but I loved it in these stages: 17" BBS E26s http://www.estblshd.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/384405_10151143406605048_264929400047_22298008_1709878037_n.jpg 18" BBS RS http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lztw44wuR01qevbeyo1_1280.jpg What I would do to acquire a set of E26s... they're gorgeous, but it comes with a hefty price tag!
  2. Yeah, I drove my father's p-car and I got the bug... BAD. I have my GTI I'm trying my hardest to keep while affording this 964, and I have a really cheap and beat Toyota Echo I usually tool around in, on crummy days and winter. That being said, I'd like to enjoy the car as much as possible- maybe even daily? Like I mentioned, it's hardly a perfect car and I'm not hesitant to get it out and drive it. From what I have seen as far as parts prices go, they're really reasonable to keep maintained as long as you're not shy with turning a wrench and looking after things. I understood there were around 500 in this color combination of "Purple Metallic" and white leather. I'm a fan! I'm thinking some gold centered wheels would suit the color nicely
  3. I got myself into a car that I've patiently been waiting for, and finally the right deal came up. I stumbled upon this gem in Logan, OH at a price I could not argue after poking my head around rennlist and etc. for some time now. It's a late '91 Porsche 911 C2 with 104k miles, up-to-date records, recent top-end reseal and a PPI from Byers that looked promising. Pretty happy about the color as it is considered a less common color, and the car itself is far from perfect, but still evident it was very well taken care of. A lot of people have great things to say about the 964, and many of them have quite a few miles on them being used as a daily, which gives me a lot of confidence. It's a new path for me, and I really don't have many plans other than give the car a good go-over, and address what I feel is important before considering the usual Farkas treatment . Ultimately, I would like to update to the later "teardrop" mirrors, RS brake ducts in place of the front indicators, H&R coilovers, and some really nice period correct split wheels. Anyhow, here are some pics I snapped:
  4. Guy said it only had an intake lol.
  5. Dude, no way. I watched a MS3 grenade on a dyno this past weekend and couldn't help but laugh at the guy.

    BMW LOL

Skewed? The article isn't about who are worst drivers on the road, but statistical evidence that the rumors floating around BMW drivers, are generally true.
  7. I don't need to justify why I like my car..
  8. I don't think those will ever be funny.
  9. I honestly would've just run it the fuck over.
  10. Well, if that isn't enough room for a capable shop, then I'd say they're in over their heads lol. http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/35003385+w750+st0/sstp_1012_11_o+1986_toyota_corolla_coupe+engine.jpg http://image.superstreetonline.com/f/29416136+w750+st0/sstp_1012_16_o+1985_toyota_corolla_hatchback+engine.jpg
  11. Engine bay can swallow a huge 2J swap no problem, as well as the Tundra 4.7 V8. LSX should be no problem at all. http://www.pgrramblers.org/corolla/images/1uz-fe.jpg
  12. Initial D fanboy.. watchout. piderman pewp in yer bay?
  13. No surprise there... wraps look like shit.
  14. This is exactly how I feel. I look at it and I simply see styling cues from so many other cars smudged into one poor unoriginal design. Front reminds me of a Ferrari wannabe, while the rear looks like the Camaro's white trash cousin wearing too much eye-liner. I don't see much about the car that really flows well aesthetically. I can't really disagree about what you're getting for the price in the aspect of performance. But you gotta get over owning such an ugly car, first.
  15. http://i.imgur.com/EdEU8Hwh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tNJFc3Bh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dOj8TDSh.jpg I really think the C6 is gorgeous, but this is honestly the worst... almost up there with the Pontiac Aztek. I see half potato, half italian supercar.
  16. I doubt they soaked it, period. Bunch of dumbasses working on cars they have no business touching. When something goes wrong, the answer is to simply sue. Fucking lowlives.
  17. You really ought to check out Vertical Adventures off Busch Blvd. A lot of good routes that change frequently, from skill levels beginner to advanced. Up until a year ago or so, I hadn't been climbing as frequently as I used to. I used to manage the climbing wall at Galyan's before and shortly after it changed over to Dick's Sporting Goods. The wall was a 47 1/2' wall, which made it one of three tallest indoor walls at the time. I was climbing and bouldering that thing day in and day out for years. We had a lot of really good climbers come in that taught me quite a bit. I was climbing routes as hard as 5.10/5.11 but the rating system has changed in the past few years, and not really sure where I stand anymore. I could probably get my core strength back after some time, but I really miss having the chance to climb every day. Anyhow, I'll help if I can.. I wanna get going again with my lady.
  18. Lube the slider pins or replace if they're pitted or showing any strange marring from lack of lubrication. Also, it could very well be the piston getting stuck, but hard to pinpoint that without ruling the pins out, first. If it comes down to it you COULD remove the piston and inspect it for pitting or rusting, but then you're going to have to bleed the system all over again after you reassemble the caliper with a rebuild kit.
  19. You need to contact Motorsport Tech about making you hub-centric and wheel-centric adapters. They should be able to make you adapters as small as 15mm if you find it necessary. Always do business with that company, and top quality parts.
