  1. "Did Toyota Miss the Mark With the New 2008 Scion xB?" Answer: Yes, and they did with the old one too. Ever notice that the xB is supposed to be marketed towards the youth market, yet it is hippy or ultra-conservative looking 40+ somethings driving them 90% of the time?
  2. You paid Crutchfield prices??!! That's magazine is good for getting part numbers so you can input them online (I usually buy new from E-bay retailers, but there are other online retailers that sell cheap too).
  3. I didn't post the link to them for my health. Yeah, they have a couple 18" sizes now, one being exactly what you want. You want this tire.
  4. No, the MT ET Street Radials are the way to go. Many say they hook as well as ET Streets at the strip.
  5. http://www.gfcfighter.com/ A guy I've talked to some over the years on another forum won two tickets, but lives in Texas, and doesn't want to travel to see it. He ended up giving me the tickets, so me and the girl are going. I'm not really into MMA, but seeing a fight should be interesting. I have no clue where my seats will be, could be anywhere from nose bleed to front row. Anyone else going?
  6. Ehhh, that's at the very edge of Reynoldsburg/Blacklick.
  7. Might I suggest going with something OTHER than Nitto DR's?? Yes, they have their place (great summertime daily driver drag radial, good traction w/ great life). But at your HP level + the amount of miles you will actually drive the car a year, IMO you are better off with a different tire. How about: BF Goodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial. Offered in a 315/30R-18 which should fit Or my suggestion: Mickey Thompson Drag Radial, offered in a 305/35/18 http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreetRadial Those Nittos are just not going to hold up.
  8. A 5-point with a removable side-bar isn't a big deal, especially when you don't have rear seats to access (they make rear seats useless, hence why I have none in my Formula). Stuff the harnesses behind the seats, and you are good to go. Sadly, my setup is a 6-point with fixed door bars, and you can't stuff the harnesses behind the seat. Of course, that's only good down to 10.00, but most tracks won't say a word to someone w/ a 5-point and harness running mid-upper 9's. But there are other saftey things they usually don't check for that are also required in the 10.00-10.99 range, such as a tranny blanket or SFI approved bellhousing, and an SFI approved balancer. I've been checked on my blowdown tube for the nitrous several times as well.
  9. 4 Konig Flight 17x9.5" wheels with 275/40/17 Kumho 712 Supra tires. These have been on my 94 Formula for years, and I've decided to change things up for this year (new setup this year, why not different rims too??). Link to pictures of them at the end. These were never rotated, and these are the only tires ever mounted to them, so I'll describe each in detail. All have been washed, but could use a good detailing, especially on the inside of the riims. My tire depth gauge is MIA, so I can't give exact numbers. Right Front: - No curb rash or scratches - Almost perfect looking - Tire has at least 1/2 of its life left Left Front: - Curb rash on the very edge of the rim, around 1/2 of the rim - Tire has a nail in the tread, and needs pulled/plugged. Leaks air because of this; never leaked before the nail (none of the others have ever leaked). 1/2 of tread left Left Rear: - No curb rash - Minor scratches around lug holes, due to the kind of studds/lug nuts I had to run w/ my setup - Inside of the wheel is BADLY scratched/gouged. Years ago I had an brake incident (long story), and scratched it badly. I had the wheel re-balanced, and never had any issue with this at all. This happen several years ago, so if this were going to be a problem, it would have been one a long time ago...this WILL NOT cause you any issues. - Tire NEEDS replaced, badly worn out Right Rear: - 2" scratch on edge of rim - Minor scratches around lug holes, due to the kind of studds/lug nuts I had to run w/ my setup - Deep scratch on insde of rim where bolt fell out and got caught in it. Had wheel re-balanced, never had any issues with this, happened years ago as well. Won't cause you any issues - Tire NEEDS replaced, badly worn out. Fits: 93+ Camaro/Firebird, C5/C6 Vettes, later (and maybe all, I don't know) C4 Vette, and since it also has 4.5" bolt holes as well, I'll assume Mustangs too. Price: $270 FIRM. No trades, no payments. You're not going to find any on E-bay (in any size for that matter). I need the garage space!
  10. I normally hate solid black rims on a car, but that is easily an exception
  11. Sean, have you listed it on E-bay yet?? I just sold my Sebring on there this past weekend, and got more money for it than I was asking around here (and WWWAAAAYYYY more interest in it) than what I did locally. If you want some pointers on what worked well for me, just toss me a PM.
  12. Dave, I'll probably give your dad a call in a week or so, see what he can do. Shawn: I have no desire to go into a payment plan on this roof. I'd rather pay for it, do it, and be done. I've saved some cash back just so I can do so.
  13. I need to replace my roof, badly. I've NEEDED to replace my roof, and now is the time. I have to pull 3 layers of shingles (yes, 3), replace some wood underneath, new paper, new shingles, new flashing. Whole 9 yards. I have friends that are more than willing to help (hell, they are pushing me to get it done ASAP). Anyone have the hookup on supplies?? And if the price is right, anyone have the hookup on putting on a roof w/ supplies (with me and my buddies pulling the roof off, as that's obviously a labor-intensive/PITA part of the job). If I can get it done cheaply enough (with quality work), I'd be happy to pay someone to put a new roof on. Charge me parts/labor, I'll have the old crap pulled off and a dumpster in the driveway. Easy, single level roof to work on (odd tri-level house...sort of a ranch in the front, split level in the back w/ attached garage). If you know any GOOD hook-ups, please let me know. I can even pay cash under the table.
  14. See, even with my mistyping, he was still able to figure it out without an issue. Gee, Eli, you are the self proclaimed Mensa genious, I figured you shouldn't have a problem figuring this out. 700's should be more than enough to get you a better rate. Mine is somewhere in the 700's (mid 700's last time I checked, but haven't had a reason to look in a while, but no reason for it to be lower). 700's should be more than enough to get better than 10.9%. Anthony, you should realize you had to earn that score, now reap the benefits, don't settle on some shitty interest rate because you think that is all you deserve.
  15. IMO 10.9% isn't even a good rate. I think mine, after the 0% is over, and still a lower percentage. That said, if I'm still carrying a balance by the time it is up, I'll just get another 0% card and transfer the remainder to that. Why pay interest for no reason??
  16. Wow, I'll never listen to any of your movie opinions...ever. I felt SM3 was equally as good as the first two. Good story development, some cool characters, and re-watchable for sure. There were a couple slightly slow parts, and a few things that don't make it a "10" but it was still a really good movie.
  17. Is it really that time consuming upkeeping a website no one goes to???
  18. Uhhh, 10.9 fixed is a good rate????!!!! Just get a Credit Card with 0% APR for a fixed amount of time (mine is 2 years), and pay that off. Why pay credit card interest? Trust me, those cards are not hard to come by.
  19. And she is actually proud of that. Fucking nasty.
  20. Lock/delete it your own damn self.
  21. Going from one economy car to another. Awesome.
  22. There SHOULD be a fast time window for us pulling out, just not declared to the public. We need out of that crap hole, and need to start minding our own business. The US has enough problems.
