  1. If you are looking to swap over to a 6-speed, I'm willing to sell my whole setup (clutch/master/slave, pedals, tranny, SPEC Stage III Carbon clutch, aftermarket shifter) if the price is right. Will only be for sale until the car is ready to go back together, then I'll stick w/ the 6-speed for a while until I go auto.
  2. Asking directions: No Asking location address of the interview: Yes As for Joe and the Bus Line, if I were interviewing someone for something other than a near minimum wage job, and they mentioned that, that is an auto no-hire. That's just a guarantee in my book that this person will show up late on a regular basis, and probably doesn't have their crap together.
  3. I fully disagree on most of that. - Vette is good for carrying one passenger. And for many people, that's all they really need. I went years just driving a 2-seater. - Ask any GTO owner, the trunk is a total joke. The GTO really won't haul much more than the Vette. It's trunk won't hold what a Vette's hatch will, but add in the rear seat (no pass thru though), and you do get a little more space. - It is VERY easy to find a non-beat Vette. Remember, a lot of older, show-car type folks on these cars. You'll find way more garage queen Vettes than GTO's. I've spent a short time in a GTO, and a good amount of time in a C5, and I have to say C5 all the way. Don't get me wrong, I like the GTO, but for my performance dollar, I'll take the lighter car w/ more features and larger aftermarket.

  5. Damn, being 2-door, if you pull the wing (looks like they did on the pic w/ it down the strip), swap the factory Altezas for non-rice taillights, and paint it normally, it would be a decent looking car.
  6. I have had Bank One (now Chase) for a good 15-20 years now. I'm not switching. I had an incident with them a couple years ago just like that; most likely the card was lost in the mail. They cancelled the old card, and immediately sent out a new one, at no cost to me, and didn't take that long to get here.
  7. It's Patrick, while tuning and spinning the tires (aka the numbers don't really represent the car at all).
  8. I think I know who it was, but it isn't anyone mentioned (certain old black car with a direct drive Procharger + alcohol, spinning tires on the dyno pretty hard).
  9. How can you make ANY judgment on a production car based on what a concept show car looks like? I'll save my judgements on the Challenger based on when I see a finished production/pre-production model (same goes for the Camaro). And I'd still rather have the new Camaro's drivetrain.........
  10. I've found Andersons is a pretty good place to get the stuff cheap. You can buy wire by the foot there too.
  11. I had one back when we lived on campus. Signal usually in the mid 90's. Cut out during storms, and had a quick freeze/digital breakup every time a plane flew overhead. And on campus, that's a lot! My ex g/f had it out in BFE, dual tuner Tivo. Worked nicely, though I felt the channels all seemed a bit too digitally compressed, most likely due to their limited bandwidth. Overall, if I lived in the country and didn't have a choice, I'd have it.

    New.

Wow, someone got ripped off. I just did pads/rotors all around on my Avalanche, and was a hair over $200 for all the parts. And I know it is more of a PITA to do than on a Honda.
  13. I own a house, my g/f owns a condo. She says this is the first and last condo she will ever own. Mind you, she actually bought a SMART condo to purchase, one that has went up in value a lot (established area in Upper Arlington, where no new codos can be built, and this one has been around for a while. The actual sale value of her home has went up approx 30-40k in the past 5 years. MOST condo's don't, however, and you lose your ass if you try to sell. Then you have the condo fee's...hers are crazy high, and they can jack them up at any time too. I live in a house, established neighborhood = values may not go up as much as some areas, but won't go down as much as some either. No worries about some section 8 apt. complex being built next to a nice neighborhood (happened recently to a friend of mine). But avoid condos, they suck. As for the area you want, 125k won't buy you anything. Hell, my house in Reynoldsburg, 3 bed, 2 bath, culdasac, oversized 2 car garage, nothing special and not very big, would sell for about that. Edit: About condo fee's. For what my g/f pays in fee's, she could hire Green Lawn to take care of a yard, contract out someone to plow her driveway/shovel a sidewalk, and have enough left over every month to save back for when the house would need siding and a roof. Meaning she could easily pay to have the outside taken care of, with no work of her own, for less money. Condo fee's don't cover the indoors.

  15. - I see tons of CTS's on the road. Very common car, actually. I've seen a number of V's as well. - Toyota in the industrial truck market. PPPAAAAHHHHLEASE. A single 1/2 ton truck isn't jack, and I'm sure they know it. No one that does any serious towing or hauling would even look at an import truck. - GM is lacking in the plain, jane, every day car market. The Toyota brand offers tons of "desireable" plain, jane, money making cars. They offer a few decent truck/SUV choices. As far as exciting cars go, there are a couple Lexus models to mention, but NOTHING from the Toyota nameplate (anyone that says the MR2 Spyder needs kicked in the nuts).
  16. Wow, it would take a lot of work to make that thing more ricey than it is. I'd be very embarassed to own that.

    Speeds?

Not the karting, but rather the gas (well propane) fumes, ventilation, stuff like that. All safety stuff.

    New.

You car has a fart pipe on it. Please remove it and put a stock exhaust back on. Then save your money, and save it up for something worth modding.
  19. With a few small changes, for sure!

    Speeds?

From what I heard, Franklin County has a law against indoor go-cart type facilites. Speeds was around before that law was passed, so they were grandfathered in. It was assumed that grandfathered in clause would continue with the new facility since it was the same business, but it wasn't, so Speeds was killed off.
  21. Ehh, must be a mild case. I was feeling pretty crappy for a while, but couldn't crap or puke. Stomache hurt pretty bad, and have been napping a lot today. Still hurts, but not as bad. I've got that flu-type feeling in my stomache, but no other symptoms (no coughing, sinuses are fine, no sore throat, not dizzy, nothing but my stomache hurting). Guess I must have only had a little bit of whatever that crap was.

    Speeds?

They are gone, and won't be returning.
  23. There isn't a place it town I wouldn't go during the day (and if you name it, I'm sure I've been there during the day). There are a few places at night I wouldn't want to venture to, though. Bexley might have its nice parts, but it has some total crap-hole parts as well.
