  1. - Why do people keep saying similar performance to a C6? Straight line acceleration, but that's about it. - Why do people keep quoting C6 prices for loaded drop-top models? Based out C6's are far more comparable to the GT500 (and still have more features). - The "I can buy xxx for so much money and spank xxx." Well, I can buy a good condition Fox body, build up a motor and supercharge it, blow the doors off the GT500, for less money than a new V6 model. Point? Could buy a GTO and throw a blower on it and spank the GT500 too for a lot less money. Point again??
  2. And I love how even the fastest Supras still can't hook like other cars. Should be way faster with those trap speeds.
  3. How could someone possibly enjoy that?
  4. I already have a boat, and no interest in any trades.
  5. I always thought super girl would look better than that. I was wrong.
  6. Greg, you mean straight line. A stock C6 will rock a GT500 in braking, handling, and every other catagory you can imagine. Somehow it's okay to make fun of a GTO for being heavy, but not kosher to mention the GT500 is even HEAVIER!
  7. Yup. Shifts perfectly, no issues with it whatsoever. As I said, this wasn't a raced or abused car, just a highway daily driver.
  8. I 100% disagree. Comparing stock for stock (remember, interiors are pretty much the same for 94-04 Mustangs, and 93-02 Firebirds), my Firebird is far more comfortable. More leg room, more comfortable arm rests, shifter position is far better, more head room, etc. Way more comfortable than my Moostang. I prefer the seating position in the Firebird too.
  9. Wait, wait...I think Sam just owned you. I was also ready to post up the W2W Camaro from that comment, but he beat me to it. Iron block LSx. Still a small block. Now what's your excuse?
  10. And your big block boy is spraying. "your actting like hes doing it N/A...im not impressed"
  11. Being the owner of both a Mustang and a Firebird.......get the T/A. Without a question. And S2K...what kind of crack smoker would suggest that. Cramped, torqueless, and more money than the others; no thanks!!!
  12. TTT, still for sale. Just drove it for the first time in a few weeks last week. Started great as usual, excellent oil pressure, will make for a great, RELIABLE daily driver.
  13. But 8.08 @ 177 sure is. That also stock body panels, excluding the hood (and of course modifying the front bumper cover for the turbo and adding the spoiler, and doing an LS1-style front end for the looks of it). No nitrous either.
  14. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/features/0510htp_turbo/ 8.08 @ 177. Stock style suspension, full interior, on a "lowly LT1." And that's only a GEN-II SBC, no big block there. Still running a 23 degree reverse cool (LT1 style) head too, and since there are no aftermarket LT1 blocks, it is what it is. And that block has seen a number of passes as well.
  15. Not bad, different for sure. If only they could fix the cramped interior problem.......
  16. Yeah, I made those same comments before, and it has bitten me in the ass: - LT4 PP w/ Clutchnet Kevlar/Organic disc (wouldn't hold spray from dig) - LT4 PP w/ Clutchnet Kevlar/Bronze disc (blew up, damaged flywheel) - SPEC Stage III Carbon setup (wore out way too quickly, bad spring retainers) - 2nd SPEC Stage III Carbon setup (held together so far, but I don't see her lasting much after I put the car back together). All of that, and had I just spent the $900 on the McLeod Street Twin (comes w/ flywheel), I wouldn't have had to worry about it again. It's best just to do it right the first time. BTW, the prev. owner of my roomate's Vette said it had an LS7 clutch in it, it lived a short life, and was replaced with a SPEC Stage III.
  17. That may honestly be one of the gayest comments you've ever made. Seriously. For the record, I pulled my AC because I never used it. I keep seeing all these posts about the BBF blocks, and folks bragging about keeping them together. Is there something about stock blocks not holding together in the Ford camp or something?? I know the stock 5.0L blocks aren't all that strong, but I didn't think that was the case for the rest of Ford's V8 lineup.
  18. I read his book several weeks ago, very good. Too bad he rarely updates his page anymore.
  19. If you are spending the time putting a new clutch in, screw the factory BS and get a good aftermarket one. I've heard nothing but great things from the LSx guys on the Cartek clutches.
  20. Screw that, drive. The money you can save driving != the time wasted driving. You could work a day and make up the difference.
  21. You know a Japanese guy did the video, simply because anyone else realizes that NSX wouldn't stand a chance against the Lambo, and its torqueless motor wouldn't even let it get up that hill. Cool video though.
  22. I know they didn't look like that back in HS.
  23. I somehow tweaked my back last night, so sleeping could have been nicer.
  24. Though I hate the billion kids in my neighborhood, they are ALWAYS outside, and would notice someone messing with my stuff right away. Living in a culdasac helps too, as there is only one way in-out, and plenty of neighbors to watch. The big black security guard in the house doesn't hurt either. Crooks tend to not like big dogs. Luckily in the 4+ years I have lived here I haven't had to deal with any crime at all. Cops patrol regularly too.
