  1. Apartment complex owners get kickbacks for having one company in there exclusively. Just the way it is.
  2. I would be very willing to have sex with her.
  3. I've only heard good things about them, but haven't had one yet.
  4. There are a number of times people spot cars, and they are members/members know said cars. I was driving my roomate's C5 a few weeks ago, and someone spotted it. He rarely posts here, and never about his car, and I never mentioned it on here prior to that. Low and behold, it was noticed and posted about.
  5. How pissed would you be if that happend to you? I'd be ready to kill someone for doing that. Funny though.
  6. I went to a place on Busch Blvd about a year ago. Can't remember the name of the place, but I recall the price being decent, and we had a good time.
  7. Right now it will pull to about 4500RPM on flat water w/ a couple people in the boat and trimmed as much as possible. Depending on what you read, they say max operating RPM is 4600-4800. It's a brand new 2004 3.0L crate motor (it sat in a wharehouse for a while). But top speed isn't overly important thing for me, more down-low power is. It isn't bad down low (pulls my 210lb ass out on slalom w/ 500lbs worth of passengers and a full tank of gas without killing me). I agree a new starter is the best route; I'd end up putting a new solenoid in and the starter would go out a week later.
  8. 14.5 x 17 Though I wouldn't mind about 200RPM more at top end, so a 14 x 17 might work better than my 14.5. If you have one, I'd really appreciate it, as my starter solenoid also decided to take a shit on me too and I need to get a replacement (one of the very few things on that motor that isn't new or been rebuilt), and my bank account hasn't been pleased with me recently. Luckily I've found a few starters online new for $95 shipped. Having to start the boat using vice grips to arc the terminals is no fun. Sadly, I don't think that happened in a no-wake zone.
  9. Ehh, it's a motorcycle speedo, which are known to be less than accurate. Very fast regardless.
  10. 147 MPH on a bicycle. Thanks, I'll pass.
  11. I had never been on Buckeye Lake before. Went on the 4th of July weekend, buddy had a friend's dock which wasn't being used at the time, so I tied up there. Went back out today, pulled the boat out, and look what I found: http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/Boat/DSC03241.JPG Just for reference, that prop was in BRAND NEW condition when we put the boat in. I'm talking there wasn't even a scratch on the thing. I know I nicked the edges last Sunday, but it was BARELY nicked. Though we didn't hit anything we noticed, must have happened when we were just doing circles in the middle of the lake, or when I was slalom skiing, as it was shallow in a couple spots we took off from. But I'll take a destroyed prop over a f'ed up outdrive any day. I'll stick with Alum from now on. The main boat launch ramp we used is beat to hell, the whole lake is way too shallow (I can't imagine being brave enough to take a fast/heavy boat out there), the water is too choppy, and is very dirty; I have a nice coating in green crud stuck to the boat now.
  12. LOL, I could never imagine Judd driving something like that.
  13. Saturn Sky Redline?? But only an I6 on the TB. No 5.3, or better yet, LS2 model. Could always swap motors, I suppose.
  14. I had 3 Pepsi's today, and I normally don't drink pop (and prefer Coke when I do).
  15. I bought this as an open box item; was just the unit and nothing else. I added the power cord myself, and took a universal cable remote and programmed it to run the unit. No instructions, but there isn't a need for them. The CHEAPEST I could find this unit on E-bay was $68 shipped for a refurbished model. Everything else was $88-95 shipped. The bad: not all of the outputs work. The RCA (composite) outputs work fine; both video and both audio channels. The digital coaxial output DOES NOT WORK. I tried every audio setting it had w/ no luck. The S-video output works, but is in BLACK AND WHITE. Again, I tested every video setting w/ no luck. I do not have the equipment to test the component outputs, so they may or may not work. It does play DVD's nicely; I never tried anything but a regular DVD, though I don't see any reason why it should play all the other formats it supports. Price: $30. Unit is in excellent condition physically.
  16. What kind of drive is that thing running? I want one!
  17. Sounds like an awesome time. I plan on hitting Vegas again within the next year. How were the rooms at Palms? Was the pricing decent there? Last time I went we stayed at the Stratosphere (visit the tower, nothing special about the rest, and the location kind of sucks, as does the pool there).
  18. I agree; the Eclipse deck I had in the Formula (stolen years ago) sounded better than the Premier deck that replaced it. Of course it MSRP for twice what the Pioneer did, and was about 3x the real world cost, since it's a lot harder to source Eclipse stuff cheap. If my budget for this was higher, there would be a Eclipse CD7000 being purchased, without a doubt. In this case, it's a daily driver setup I'm doing, nothing too fancy. To add to the frustration now; I discovered the Bluetooth for the Alpine is a seperate add-on unit, and I can't find it cheap. I'm not sure if I'll make good use of this feature when I upgrade phones soon, but sure seems like a fun toy. But by the time you add on the Bluetooth unit, the Alpines are more expensive than the Bluetooth Premier.
  19. I need a head unit, and pretty soon. I want something with a nice display, good sound quality, decent set of features, etc. 3 sets of preouts w/ decent voltage is required. Here are some units I'm considering (prices listed are what I can get them w/ shipping doing a Buy It Now on E-bay from established retailers): Alpine CDA-9857 - $273 Alpine CDA-9856 - $177 Clarion DXZ865MP - $320 Pioneer Premier DEH-P780MP - $288 Pioneer Premier DEH-P680MP - $182 Kenwood KDC-X990 - $333 I like the display on the Kenwood, but I've never been all that impressed with their products, and their interfaces. So most likely I'll pass on that one regardless. I liked the Clarion unit I had years ago (was stolen), and served me well. I've had great luck with the Pioneer decks I've had, so they are heavily on the consideration list. I've never had an Alpine deck, but would consider it for sure. JVC has nothing in my price range I like, and I won't buy a Sony head unit. I'd like an Eclipse, but all of their units w/ displays I find acceptable are too expensive. The Alpines are top contenders, except for the displays, which are pretty boring. The $100 price difference for little more than a slightly improved display is something I'm not sure I'd want to pay. For the Premiers, I'd like to have Blue Tooth, but that units is much more expensive. Their displays are far nicer, though. Any other head unit suggestions, or good reasons why to pick one of the above?
  20. I love how it's the V8 guy's fault. Take a look at who in this thread is posting about getting rid of him. 3/4 of the guys are NON-V8 drivers. Nice try there bub. I agree with Howard, his online persona comes off as someone desperately seeking attention. The needy dog comment was spot-on. Hell, I don't read a lot of his threads even, because they all seem to be the same thing.
  21. Besides the fact there is on 07 Cobra (I know which car you do mean), but you are comparing a car in the C6 price range, and I'd MUCH rather have that. Regardless, I'm sure the Challenger will be watered down and not overly exciting once it hits production, just like what they did to the Charger. The Charger concept was all sorts of awesome, the production car looks like a slightly rebodied 300C.
  22. Read: NICE. Not some entry level unit by ANY manufacturer. My preferences are Eclipse, Alpine, and Pioneer, but I'll consider others. 3 sets of 4V+ preouts, decent displays, etc. I'm really looking for a LCD display head-unit (1-din only, please), but the lowest end stuff with a CD/DVD player built in tend to go for $600+, and I'm not leaning to go quite that expensive. If you have one list it up, WITH model number. If it's what I want, and price is right, you'll have a buyer.
  23. I've heard that one before, but it's damn good. I think I need to find a woman that has any f'ing clue w/ her finances. Last broad I dated for a few weeks, I swear she had to have made more money than me (project manager for a busy advertisement agency...that has to pay well, right??). Yet the chick had shit to show for it; a 01 Blazer w/ a payment, nice but small apartment, and other than some decent furniture/decorations, nothing of any value in it. And she was always acting like she was tight on her budget...WTF?? I mean, I can blow money with the best of them, but at least I have something to show for it in the end. My last g/f, though she made less than I do, she also had less bills, and in the end had the same cash to play with. She would spend money hand over fist on clothing she would rarely wear, and other stupid crap. And she had very little to show for all her spending. I think I need to find a woman that actually makes some real cash and knows how to spend it. But no fat chicks. **End Rant**
  24. There is a guy on my street with 2 of them, looks like some mild off-roading stuff done to them. If you want something super cheap to beat the crap out of off-roading, they are a good choice! I've never ridden in one; I've heard they are terriably underpowered and not overly stable at highway speeds. Are they reliable, especially in an off-road environment?
