  1. When I was dating the head case last year (but good looking and had a 05 Kodiak 450), we hit up Wayne. It's pretty awesome there, tons of cool trails. Only a little over an hour drive from Reynoldsburg.
  2. Do they all come with a chick as a hood ornament, or is that a special option?
  3. Robin Quivers from the Howard Stern Show just got one a few days ago, and loves it. I want one. Especially with the targa conversion (sure it's 13k and adds ~100lbs to the car, but looks so bad-ass). My bank account says "keep dreaming"
  4. Slimy Grimy rocks. Delta Marine had a bottle. $13, but after using it, man is that stuff worth it. I really did just spray on, spray off, and if anything was left, it just wiped off with one swipe of a towel. I am very impressed to say the least. I can't imagine what work I would have had to do trying to scrub that stuff off the boat. I've gotten my prop situation sort-of sorted out. I guess I had two props sitting in my crawl space, a 14.5x17 (same as the one I destroyed), and a 14x19. The 17 has some nicks on it, and one blade is a little chewed, the 19 is in pretty good shape. I decided to throw the 19 on there until I get this 17 repaired. Hopefully the boat will still perform alright w/ the 19; I'll see this Sunday. As for the starter, $208 + tax, the solenoid was $55 w/ tax. I've been spending a LOT of $$ recently, so I went the "cheap" route.
  5. LS1's get pussy hurt when I whoop up on them. That, and when I bought my car, a used LS1 wasn't easily attainable. But the motor is only part of my reasoning for the 04 vs. 05. Hood, brakes, and opposite exit exhaust are just as big of factors, and make the car look a whole lot better IMO. Not that your car is ugly; I like it too.
  6. For me, the differences in the 04 and 05 are enough to justify paying more.
  7. A dog fucking a monkey...well there's something you don't see every day.

    Primer.

Chris, you didn't even paint your hood. Not a post you should have started. BTW, all of my vehicles are fully painted.
  9. My dog + invisible fence = bad idea. Not that he would run through it (at 16, he does more trotting than running). Rather, many years ago he had one of those collars, hit the fence, and instead of running back, he got scared and layed down, continuing to get shocked. Not a good idea to say the least! My roomate can weld pretty well (mig and tig), but we are !welder at this moment, and I'm not looking to make this a big project. Hell, if I could find a fence supply store w 2 9' gates, that would be excellent.
  10. I don't recall posting about neighborhood cats. I'd rather shoot my neighbors than their cats. But I have a dog, so it's there to keep him in, otherwise I would just tear down what is there and be done with it.
  11. Here's the deal. I have a 4' high chainlink fence all the way around my back yard. I live in a culdasac, so my yard is oddly shaped. Everything is decent until you get to the left side of my house (the part that goes from the edge of the house to my property line; from there in make a 90' turn and starts going back. At that part, the post on either side is good and sturdy. What's in between is a rats nest of cheap nylon coated fence wire tied and barely standing...a previous owner special I've never felt like touching. Since I'm now starting to put things in my back yard on a regular basis (read, backing a trailer in there), pulling down el' cheapo fence isn't working out very well. I am 19' apart from pole-to-pole. I want a swing out gate that latches in the middle, so I can swing each side out. I hit up Lowes and Home Depot, but none of their pre-fabbed gates would work (and were pricey), and fabbing one up from their parts looked to be an expensive experience as well. Is there any place that specializes in fences? I'm looking for simple and cheap. I've never dealt with fencing before, and have no idea where to go from here.
  12. Wow, you'd actually admit to owning an xB. I thought those were for grandma's that thought they were "hip."
  13. Again, who won the domestic vs. import BS. Had my buddy not broke, he would have easily won (by a HUGE margin). Wasn't such a big deal since the field wasn't full so payouts were only 1/2. But Nick took advantage of that, and won the bike class, since he was the only one that ran (and made some nice money in the process)! From what I heard, there were a bunch of domestics that could have ran in the quick 16 class but didn't. My roomate was very disappointed in that, as if all the 12-13 second domestic that were running around had participated, he would have qualified against them and ran through a couple rounds, profiting even more than he did. I heard the majority of the imports were your 15+ second wonders, but that doesn't really surprise me at an event like that.
  14. I bet that lady was butt ugly.
  15. I got called into work right before we were going to leave. My roomate qualified his Vette but lost after his bye-round. Still made a profit racing. Due to the other car in our group that had an unfortunate failure, they couldn't stay and watch the final import vs. domestic race...who won it? I heard the domestic showing was pretty pathetic.
  16. I'll pick up the monitor for $115.
  17. Avalanche: usually 15 with the driving I do around town, and I don't have the lightest foot. I've gotten 18.5 on a highway trip before. With all the towing I've been doing lately, I'm not sure, but less than 15. Moostang: usually around 20. Firebird when it was running: if I stayed out of the gas, which was rare, it would do around 20....pathetic that it was making ~twice the HP as the Moostang N/A, yet could still match its mileage.
  18. Tivo is Tivo. It's a seperate service you pay for; you simply hook up a phone line, it calls in daily for updates. It is a seperate box that has an IR commander that controls your current cable box. If you have a dish, they offer Tivo service, but because it goes through their network, doesn't have to dial in for updates, and you don't have to pay Tivo a service fee per month (just like cable companys have their own DVR's).
  19. WTF are you talking about?? They are easy to replace. Look up the member Shoebox on CZ28. He has how-to guides; one of them is the power window motors. He has a method where you drill 3 small holes, which allow allows access to the rivets. Drill out the rivets, replace with bolts, and you are done. Works like a charm, and is how the factory SHOULD have done it to begin with.
  20. It is illegal to do this if you are caught. Decent penalites if I recall correctly. That said, you'd be amazed at how many open connections there are around town!! That's why my router is locked down with both the network key AND can only connect if the wireless router's MAC address is hardcoded into the router. That should help keep people off my shit.
  21. Moving to PICS AND VIDEOS. It looks like a Vette, that's about it.
  22. LOL, that site has been a shit-hole for many years. I'd take any info you would find on there with a grain of salt, at best. Honestly, it's one of the worst F-body sites on the internet. I suggest checking out camaroz28.com and ls1tech.com for your needs. And T-tops really don't have overly common leaking issues in 4th Gens. As with any 4th Gen, check the power window motors, as they love to die on a regular basis (luckily the motors aren't very expensive).
  23. You guys are arguing with some 16 year old kid with a run-down Poopra. Of course he thinks it's fast, he probably hasn't ridden in a car that could get out of the 15's before.
  24. Bullshit. Half the apartment complexes out there are pre-wired by electricians or private contractors. And the owners only get free cable. LOL, keep dreaming (guess who ELSE knows first hand). Maybe free cable for an owner that owns only one small complex; but a number of these large places are owned by the same owners, and free cable isn't enough. Besides, why offer only one cable company unless there is a reason to? It's more than just inexpensive wiring if the cable company does the wiring for it at all. There is also a reason some apartment complexes offer only one service, but everyone gets free limited basic service. That was how that owner negotiates a single cable company in, using it as an incentive for renters.
