  1. Slightly use Avalanche. This way you still have the passenger capabilities, can use it as a truck, and isn't overly large like a big truck would be. If you really need towing capabilities, could always go w/ the 2500 Avalanche.
  2. Funny, my old roomate has a fairly loaded Alero his parents bought him new in 01, and it's been very reliable for him. My g/f drives an 00 Neon. Auto and slower than turtle turds. I really can't say much positive for it, other than it hasn't required too much money invested into it, due to me doing the labor (as a couple things would have been big $$ w/ shop labor). She likes it, but I think that's because it is the first car of her own; her parents bought it for her a few years ago. I know she would like something faster (dunno why, she doesn't drive fast) and flashier. She definately wants an F-body, but can't afford one, or any other car for that matter.
  3. E. Main Autozone will clear them as well.
  4. Keep it illegal; at least that way it helps keep the pot heads in hiding.
  5. Moving to the Pics & Vids forum...... And ditch the clear markers for blackouts.

Anthony, I'm sure there were 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 second cars there as well; I just figured I'd mention the single digit cars. I would have taken the day off of work had my car been race ready. But since it wasn't, I didn't want to use up a vacation day as I had just took a few for Vegas a couple weeks ago, and am taking a vacation day at the end of this month.
  8. But I was only refering to things that have caused me to be towed home from the track. Though beating my meat is fine and dandy too.

I know there were a few 7, 8, and 9 second cars there. Sadly I had to work.
  10. I've blew fireballs w/ Everclear before, but I am far safer about it than that moron!
  11. 1987 Kawasaki Ninja 750R First bike, bought about 7 years ago, though hasn't ran for the past 2 years. - Peaky powerplant, not much going on below 6000RPM. - Heavy when compared to modern 750's, and the weight is up top. - Not an easy bike to get on the back wheel, which can be both good and bad. Overall it's an alright first bike, definately more difficult to ride than a modern bike, but let's you know what it is doing as well. Not overly fast (any modern 600 will walk it), but can still get up and go. I had it to an indicated 135, my step dad had it to an indicated 155 and pulling, but probably knock 10-20MPH off that for the true speeds the bike was going. Was clocked at 120MPH when a cop pulled my buddy over on it and given a verbal warning.
  12. My last 2 work laptops were a Compaq and HP, in that order. Both were fine, just lacking in the ram dept. which caused them to be a bit slow, but no real complaints on each (though the Compaq would only hold it's battery charge, unused, for about a week, but it was a couple years old). My new Laptop is a Dell something or other; only had it a couple days and haven't played w/ it much. So far so good, though the f'er is heavy.
  13. Come on Sean, one little tow! I've got that beat, sadly. - Snapped LS1 driveshaft in the center of it on a launch (thank for for my DS loop). Lesson; abusive 6-speed launches should not be done on LS1 DS's. - Exploded aftermarket clutch. POS was a damn on-off switch from day one, I would have thought it would hold, but all the pucks blew apart. Lesson: avoid Clutchnet at all costs. - Blew head gasket from detonation. Lesson: don't get greedy with timing while running questionable pump gas and spraying. But seriously people, if you are going to call someone out for a race, just do it, don't cry because they decided to bring more to the table. The idea is to MAKE YOUR CAR FASTER, not try to handicap the other car so you can feel better about your own.
  14. Way to bring this back from the dead. Doing my survery again, almost a year later, the results are different, but the description still fits me pretty well, if not more accurately, than the last results. I can honestly say this is the only personality test I've ever taken that has results even close to the truth. Wackiness: 40/100 Rationality: 40/100 Constructiveness: 44/100 Leadership: 32/100 You are a SEDF--Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you a Evil Genius. You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting. Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well--even those you have known a long time--because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable. You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

  19. Yeah, I hope you got something out of the deal; otherwise you are throwing away some money doing all of that! Speaking of which, a certain member here who rarely posts but just aquired a stock Z06 dynoed 370RWHP at Dynotune tonight.

A chick that drives a full size Ford truck posting on a message board might result in you getting more than you wanted to bargin for.

  22. I enjoyed American Dad, and after d/l'ing the new Family Guy, it was definately the better of the two (though I'm a bit biased, as I love Family Guy).
  23. I've been enjoying not haveing any car payments for several months now. I'm just glad I bought the Moostang in cash so I didn't have to deal with any more car payments. smile.gif
  24. The wing needs to go w/ the quickness. The car doesn't sound all that good, but definately better than your average Honda. But at over 100k, it better be doing something special if it wants to have any buyers.
