I think I saw one in MAG's showroom when I drove by there yesterday. It was only a quick glance, and their showroom is off of the road a bit, so I may be mistaken. They are niffty cars, but not the bang for the buck I'd want, especially for what is really just an upscale kit car.

I think the price is pretty spot-on. IIRC, that's approx the price of the ZR1. And the ZR1 was a car built from 90-95, so that's 11-16 years older, when cars tended to cost a bit less. smile.gif Add in the fact that even the late (aka fastest) ZR1's are pretty much topped by a standard C6, which also has a lot more creature comforts), this new Z06 should get it done nicely. Simply put, you could take a standard FRC C5 and realisticly do most of the mods to bring it to near Z06 specs without going too insane about the whole process. You can't even come close to doing that w/ a standard C6 compared to this new Z06. The fact it has similar power to a Viper while weighing a few hundred pounds less isn't nothing to sneeze at either. smile.gif

Still very gay. I guess I should also list my g/f's Neon, my roomate's CRX, my 04 E250 work van. I've driven my buddy's modded 98 Z28 a couple times, better include that. Hell, driven my roomate's SS, that better go into my sig too. Got a very clean 30th T/A I've spent some time behind the wheel of too. If it ain't yours, don't list it. It's graemlins/gay.gif

I did find a bit of humor when the verdict was let down. I was listening to Big 80's on my Sirius radio, after the verdict, the first song they played was Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal." Ohhh so fitting. Then they spent the next hour playing nothing but wacko Jacko songs. Oh well, some little boy doesn't get to get rich off of having his butthole tenderized.

Ummm....no. According to GM's kit I got about the Z06, the lower of the Z06 models is the 1LZ option package, which should be the lowest price model. Of that, the following stuff isn't available: - Auto dim mirrors - Heated Seats - Homelink Transmitter - Luggage shade/parcel net - Memory Package - Power Telescoping Steering wheel - Side airbags And optional on the 1LZ package are: - Bose upgrade w/ 6-disc changer and XM radio - Navigation system (which is also an option on the top tier 2LZ Z06) - Front plate mounting kit (also 2LZ option) - Polished rims (again, another 2LZ option). Hardly a stripper model. I don't consider cars w/ Xenon headlights, dual zone climate control w/ cabin filtration, heated mirrors, power mirrors/windows/locks, CD w/ MP3 player, heads up display, active handling control, cruise, etc. stripper models. The 1LZ Z06 still costs less than a base of base model 911's, and the basic loaded down Z51 C6 has been proven to not have a problem w/ that car. smile.gif Gotta remember, this Z06 has a LOT of upgrades over the 04 Z06 and standard C6.

THE place the big dogs seem to get their built T-56's from It seems that once Tremec took over for the T56, the shift forks and 3rd and 4th syncro's went to shit (this is the LS1 and Cobra cars), hence everyone going with Viper forks. LT1 cars luckily don't seem to have this issue, but they are all Borg Warner T56's. Not to say the Tremec units can't take a beating...........

I have a Memphis 1000D amp in need of repair for a fair price. Anyone, anyone.

Only a gay child molestor would own, or want to own, a car like that. Way to fuck children, asshole.

Yup, did that on the Formula this year. The brakes were so bad that slammed on, it felt like you were trying to come to a gentle stop. Bled the piss out of the brakes (basically flushed the whole system), tossed on new pads, and the thing literally brakes 100x better now. smile.gif

I've heard the FRC to targa top conversion is around $10,000. Ouch. Of course the C6 rear window isn't going to come down like the Z06's, just like the standard C5's doesn't.....it's a hatch back car. I honestly prefer that look a bit more. I just love my open top crusing, hence the reason I never considered a non-T-top car when I bought mine, as my tops are out constantly.

My first time doing it, had my buddy's dad do it on a lift (GM mechanic). Basically bone stock car, plugs and wires took him an hour (I watched the whole time, and kept track of the time since I "heard" it was such a nightmear). My first time doing it (plugs/wires) on jackstands in a driveway w/ the most basic of hand tools = 2.5 hours. W/ long tubes, it is a cake job now. It's people saying crap like "it took 2 days" that makes it sound like some impossible job. It isn't. As for 135k, that's not really all that high. Opti/waterpump/intake manifold rear leak are the only real items to look specifically at on an LT1. They are pretty tough motors. 94k of abuse on mine, and running stronger than ever.

Maybe next time, make sure your shit is in order before driving around, and quit being a pot head. The schroom may not have been yours, but I'm going to bet it wasn't planted.

Though I like both, I'd take a C6 Z51 6-speed w/ all the toys over a loaded 04 Z06 any day. Performance differences are negligiable enough to be differed w/ drivers, side by side the C6 IMO looks better (and I love the C5's looks), and the C6 is a better built Vette w/ more options. Sadly, GM still won't make the new Z06 w/ a targa top, my biggest gripe w/ the 01-04 Z06. All because someone just HAD to create the poor selling FRC's and then someone just HAD to make the Z06 based on those.

Any naked pics?

That pretty much sums my life up. smile.gif

I drove my Moostang all last winter without too much of an issue on its normal street tires (Falken something or other, never bothered to look at their rating). Toss a set of snow tires on the Lightning and you'll be good to go.

That's just because there aren't any Mac applications worth using more than 30 minutes. Have you seen any errors prior to the reboot?? Try to keep a keen eye on it, something probably pops up prior to the reboot.

Shawn, aren't you the one doing all the hard work?? Shouldn't she be buying YOU a massage??

Today I learned that snagging the tip of your thumb across stucco fucking hurts, and bleeds a bit too.

http://www.hashmarks.com/photos/gathering2000/images/jim_drags.JPG Yup, stock Grand Sport Corvette rims back in 1996. And I bet a lot of these people probably think this is something new and original, when it was on a factory production car 9 years ago. smile.gif

That means you should probably post your pics and videos in here. Your stuff isn't any more special than anyone else's.

We do have a Pics and Videos forum.

You call that rampant rust, lol. My roomate's CRX has more than that, and sadly he paid more for it too.

What motor does it have in it?? Looks pretty clean from the pics; sweet car.
