If you go to New Albany they have a video you watch before you can go into the range.. that video will be PACKED full of GREAT info for you since youve never shot before. For your first time I would go there, the video alone will be most beneficial to you. They have rentals there as well. Just plan on spending at least $50 bucks at a min.

1.5mile under 10mins is flying but I knew 1 person in my previous academy class that ran it. Mile under 4 mins may only be possibly if your a world record holder

Its normally run on a track for ease.. and the inside lane of course Go run it and see... then apply if you made the run and can do the pushups and situps.. Would be an awesome change for you if you can make it past their first step.

If you could run the 1.5mile in under 14 1/2 minutes rite NOW and have a clean background.. your chances would be really high of picking up a position there. Theyll have a hard time finding more than maybe a dozen people i bet that will be able to pass all portions of that test.
