  1. I just finished my fire pit in my back yard. I'll post pics tomorrow. I used flagstaff stone from lowes for the walls. And then capped it off with tan cement caps. I did not install a steel ring because of how large the pit is, the fire won't be right on the walls. If it's a problem, I will put layer of fire bricks around the ID. I also built it on a layer of fire bricks and gravel to keep the heat semi insulated from the ground since I have a septic field. The guy across the street who helped build the house says there are no drain pipes where I put the pit but I didn't want to take a chance.

It was around $200 and turned out quite nice.

  2. Played the demo tonight, awesome graphics, and I loved that its more like the cartoon and less from the crappy movies. Gameplay is lacking though, it practically does everything for you.

But cant pick the game up because my ps3 took a shit and won't read anything blu-ray right now

You have to replace the blu ray laser diode. Mine did the same thing. You can get the whole laser tray for 60-80 bucks. It's not very hard to replace. Look for instructions online.

  3. Trouble is, when you are a new home buyer.... you learn this AFTER the taxes go up. No one says "You know those "levies" everyone is talking about, that is your taxes going up. Or that guy driving real slow with the camera in the county truck, that is your taxes going up..."

So lesson learned here is this. Your taxes will go up every year, and they are assessed once per year by whomever your escrow holder is.

I bought my first home last month... fully aware of future tax and insurance increases. No mention of it from my bank either. I thought it was common knowledge ???

  4. First interview/job out of college... fitted suit.

Interview for my current position... Just a really nice button up shirt/tie and dress pants. I had a jacket just incase, but it was 100 degrees out and I was already overdressed. I didn't bother to put it on once I got off the plane.

  5. It's 28% is for the mortgage itself. Your back end debt ratio, which is all your debt should be around 40%.

If you're going to graduate in 5 months, I would wait. The underwriters are being really picky and are not going to included any "possible" income from when you get a job. Unless you have some kind of offer letter from somewhere.

I was going to go the condo route last year, but I'm much happier I saved for another year and bought a house.
