Very nice. I need to pick up something Ford powered one of these days.

am I the only one who still uses the tool the slips over the spring with the jackscrew and the t-handle on it?
make sure you use something to hold up the valve when you pull the spring out
Probably the worst tool you can use on a valve spring. I find they can slip and mark up the spring. Using some sort of tool that presses on the retainer is always recommended..

Comp springs... Yuck.

Looks good. I bought my first house last months. Feel good.

Keep good documentation of everything. If after the 30 days something goes wrong with it and can be linked to issues you are having now, you can get those taken care of too. For example if there is a oil pressure problem now, they stick a new pump on it and a month later it spins a rod bearing. Since you can link it to a problem that was in their 30 day warrenty period, they should make the neccesary repairs. I delt with this on a transmission on a used car. Took it in multiple times during the little warranty they gave me and they fixed various things. Two months later the transmission blows. In the end they put in a new tranny.

Fuck that, no way I'd ever ebay it.

Valve train development and spring design.

We received our Daytona 500 rings today. Matt Kenseth's ring is similar, but with real diamonds (worth 50k). These are more for sentimental value. I guess they were still 800 bucks each. Not many people can say they were on a daytona 500 winning team. It took Jack Roush 22 years.

Blue Ridge is awesome. NC FTW.

I can pretty much do anything except paint. And that's just because I haven't had the opportunity to try or practice. I do plan on learning to paint at some point.

I see that all the time.... on prostock cars with shitty Jesel rockers that push the adjusters out.

Their tractors have a good reputation.

I'm sure the FOTA and the FIA will come to some sort of compromise eventually.
It will be interesting in how it all plays out though.

I closed yesterday on my house. What a good feeling. Hopefully I can start working on the home theater in the next couple of weeks. I'll post some pictures when I'm done.
3 bedrooms/2 baths. Also has the large upstaires bonus room with walk-in closet. 2200 sq ft. Every upgrade except granite counters, which I plan to do with my first time buyer tax credit.

You should see what a helicopter ride costs

Sounds like the air frame is probably compromised. The seller knows this which is why there was no reserve on it. I'm sure he got a nice check already if it was damage beyond repair by the transportation/insurace company.

me, fowler, and some other guys from back home used to go up to an old airstrip this guy owned that wasnt in use anymore (except for his ultralite and stuff) he let us race there.
hell some people from CR even made it down for it before the guy saw it was getting popular and then actually made it into a paid event with a tree and everythign..
then thats when it got lame.
it was more fun when it was just alot of friends hangin out, droppin hands, and racing.
and i loved doing big burnouts there lol
That was a good time.

At my last job I had a entire lab with an office in it to myself. Now I have to share an office with another co-worker. It's a big room and we like the same music so it's not too bad.

I did it and saved an extra 15k in six months to add to my house downpayment.
Plus being on Lake Norman isn't so bad

Worked it for 6 years. Kinda ruined it for me. THis is actually the first year since 99 that I won't be going.

I was going to say the same thing. I'd stick with the projector in the basement.
