  1. [Crying Mode On] Damnit, everyone I know is building faster shit than me. It's not fair. All I do is drive mine into the ground and talk to you guys about what YOU should do to yours... I lack motivation. Badly. [Crying Mode Off]
  2. Put me in line if the deal doesn't go through.
  3. http://www.cliffsqjet.com/ These guys are in Mt. Vernon... Q-jets are their specialty. A properly tuned q-jet works pretty well, it's just hard to find anyone with know-how to tune them and the parts to keep them fresh (throttle-shaft bushings etc.). Luckily Cliff's is close-by.
  4. I can probably get pretty close if it's what I am looking for (Still scrounging). I don't want to be Captain Lowball or anything, I am just not sure I have quite as much as what you are asking (I had originally set my "limit" to 1k). I am working Friday, but could probably make it out after work (off at 5pm) or maybe Saturday (pretty much any time). PM me with contact info and we can make a time/date. Thanks.
  5. I am looking for a winter/work car and was hoping to find a decent Accord or similar car, so I might be interested. My price range is a bit lower but I'd like to take a look at the car. Do you have any pics? I may be able to come by and look at it this weekend sometime. Thanks, Jason
  6. I had one burst under my seat once while driving... That scared the shit out of me. Might be worse when sound asleep though..damn.
  7. They are still actually in business, but are trimming out their "Crap" (Assorted l.e.d., decals and toy shit..etc)... Seems to be some kind of corporate takeover.. the guy that started that company (Brian Horowitz)suddenly no longer works there right when they began to "restructure"... hmm. It would be neat to see them turn around and sell predominantly performance parts rether than Assorted Plastic Crap... Time will tell... And, I agree...as much as I will never understand it... We will probably see fully "restored" Civics somewhere down the line. Hell, I've already seen people selling off restored fox-body mustangs..that just sounds weird. [ 21. 8. ...I lived in Ashville for quite some time until recently.. I think I have seen that car. You must do that whole "washing" of your car I hear so much about smile.gif It is kinda sad to see that area kind of shut down..that's kinda' my Homeland, so to speak. I remember when people came from the whole state to cruise Circleville (I never understood why..but I was there..)
  9. I gotta agree..it mostly depends on how you intend to use it. If drag racing, it's hard to look past the lift bars (formerly Southsides....now Jegs..) If you plan to mostly hit the street or autoX and such..it's hard to beat the Maximum Motorsports lowers coupled w/ FRPP uppers (or whatever, really) for getting rid of some of the bind inherent w/ the stock setup... (I'd have the Maximum setup if they still fit my car..almost did before the IRS swap...) And as far as bracing goes.. you almost can't have too much... Drag racing or Road Racing. Ask me how I know... (one could see the sky while looking out the top of the passenger's side window frame of my '89 if it was under power..Tweaked Much?) It just comes down to the added weight... A ChromeMoly cage is a good way to find rigidity and somewhat-lightness at the same time.
  10. That dog always looks at me that way...(maybe he's right?)
  11. That's a great idea... I've got more falling pieces than WalMart has falling prices...
  12. My 2 cents. Hanguns are extremely subjective. I like all types to some degree, but it seems I am more comfotable w/ autos. My roommate is the exact opposite, preferring Revolvers to Autos. Although both of us shoot either respectably, I chose an auto for carry and he chose a revolver. I have to agree that the simple design of the revolver makes me more sure that each squeeze of the trigger will ALWAYS make a boom, although for me I just had to shop more carefully for a reliable auto that I like. Initially I was going to go w/ an Airweight S&W but found it difficult to manage followup shots w/ any degree of accuracy, even though it looked like a clear winner "on paper" (size/weight/power) Anyway..I'm rambling. I found the best way to find a gun you really like is to try alot of them. Just handling them at the store is a good start to narrow the field, then rent some of the "finalists" (if you can in your area...) New Albany Shooter's Supply is a good place as well as the afforementioned range in Lancaster, to see if you can actually shoot them well. I was surprised to find that I really liked and shot the Kahr P9 very well. I had never really been a fan of the looks so much, but form over function is the key I guess.
