This is what I did for years. :lolguy: Finally I started putting hi-vis or ghost-ring sights on every damn thing. It finally occurred to me that I haven't fired a shot over 100 yards in my life except a handful of times.

I applied for a permit on Monday. They are holding it until I have a contractor selected. They went ahead and sent out the City Engineer today to have a look and he has already signed off on it. Apparently they need to inspect it prior to the pour but they okayed both cutting down the curb or removal and replacement. So far so good. Just need to get Sam to do it for a pack of Trident Layers. :dumb:

Related story. I went into the local Aldi the other day in search of cheap Coffee. It was daytime in the middle of the week. All of the handicapped spaces were full. I mean ONLY handicapped spaces were taken, complete with placards. I expected a store full of geriatrics but , no, the whole place was filled with people younger than me. Including some with infants and not a god damned one of them couldn't walk on their own. Not a hover-round or 50 year old in the bunch. All of these fuckers were handicapped? I bet they are in the eyes of the state. Fuck these fucks. Shit, I had the oldest price of shit vehicle in the lot to boot.

Agreed I was a Hilltop WIC kid but I was the first and only generation to date to be brought up with government assistance. I didn't have shit growing up but my patents both struggled to get educated and paid until it worked out. No doubt it saved my ass and helped THEM to teach me how to be while getting a hand up from the taxpayers. It only took a few years and we were off it. As an adult now i can really understand what it all really meant. All the useless Walmart and corner store fucks taking advantage and using the system like its a job make me physically ill and will be the ruination of the whole system. Trash can't help but take advantage of good intentions. Sucks for those that could use it to actually better themselves and the whole community. TL;DR. Trash will always find a way to take advantage of a good idea.

I have had a couple. They only ran on jack stands and unicorn pee, so I may not be a good technical resource. :gabe: Seriously though. It's hard to diagnose a car via Internet so the more people brainstorming the merrier I say. Wrong or right it gets you thinking critically.

Curb and approach. Basically everything between the sidewalk and road, though cutting the curb instead of complete replacement is fine by me. I just need to be able to get a lowered car in the driveway with the front end and exhaust attached for once.:fa: I now have my first quote but it's nearly $1000. That's about double what I expected but I don't know shit about concrete to say if that's realistic or not. I definitely wouldn't want to quickrete it myself. I have no patience for this sort of thing and I want to make sure it's structurally sound. If I back a moving truck in here and break it I'll be pissed I cheaped out. Also, Delaware City requires a permit for this and I think they even come by and inspect it afterward, so it needs to be somewhat professional looking even though I don't personally give a shit if I can drive my car over it.

Larger cams often dictate a higher idle speed just as they would in a carbureted application. In the case of an EFI car, or specifically this type where it's still a mechanical adjustment, not controlled by the ECU. You simply turn the stop screw in to set it to the desired RPM but you need to then readjust the TPS (people seem to forget the latter). A B303 isn't really that big of a cam but it does have a pretty narrow lobe separation causing enough overlap that I find the engine to be more drivable with a bump to about 850 RPM idle speed. That said, I doubt the idle speed itself is his issue in this case, just that the TPS may have been improperly set along the line somewhere.

I need to have the approach redone on my driveway. I have one of those retarded driveways that ends with a full-on curb. I think someone could just grind or cut down the existing curb and just pour the approach itself (17' x 3') but I have no idea. It would be nice if the existing slab could be lowered to match the ground-down curb, but whatever. Maybe it would be easier to bust it all up and pour it all from the sidewalk out. Anyway, I just started calling around for estimates because I applied for the permit today and thought I'd throw it out for anyone here. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/Curb1.jpg?t=1328553648 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v691/twistedfocus/Curb2.jpg?t=1328553648

Obvious Blazing Saddles reference is obvious. And funny.

No one elected Mayor McCheese but they call that fucker Mayor. Real Talk.

I'd absolutely check and set it. Likely not the issue but should be done. It's often overlooked. I usually shoot for .98 volts. You can probably find plenty of tutorials online. It's easy.
-
Have you ever set the TPS voltage? Probably also worth checking if not. Should be under a volt.

I vote we change the name to Trollsylvania.

The only spare MAF I have is calibrated for 24 pound injectors. Maybe someone has a stock one laying around you could swap in. May not be the issue but its super easy to rule out that way. A replacement IAC is pretty cheap if you want to start throwing parts at it.
-
Can't play the video but I'm guessing bad MAF or hard to find leak. What MAF is on the car?

I really expected one of those multi-pane zoom-ins to the dog's face and then on the final pane everyone has the dog's face. Good work, none the less. :lolguy:

I believe you can still get nitrous fills at either JEGS retail store (East and 11th). Last I checked it was around $4/lb also.

Since I'm a local I keep meaning to get in on one of these. I have a lot of free time lately, however I'm actually working today. I'll make a food suggestion anyway. Have you guys checked out the 1808 American Bistro on Winter Street? It's merely blocks from the hangout. I go there a lot and really like it. They have excellent food and 30+ beers on tap. Prices aren't cheap but pretty reasonable. It's probably my favorite overall place to dine/drink in Delaware, with Amato's coming in 2nd. You will probably need to make a reservation though. Unlike many of the downtown restaurants they do have a parking lot, though it is small.

iOS, it just works...but not as stable as you might think.

Have you tried a hard reset? Meaning hold both the power button and the home button until it goes all the way black and boots to the apple logo, not just using the power off slider. The few times I have had issues I was all good after a hard reset. It's like any other computer. EDIT: that won't fix the daylight savings clock bug, though if it has the latest ROM (4.2.1?) it shouldn't be an issue anymore. -
Obama Ssn ?Donno if true and I don't follow the news at all
