  1. If I can get some more work lined up I should have the Fox track-ready by early spring. It just needs small things, really. Larger fuel pump, fix a few small things like exhaust leaks and finish the tune. I predict I will beat everyone, regardless of facts or actual physics... :fuckyeah: Actually, maybe mid to high 11s on street tires if I'm lucky. The most likely scenario is that I will break the gay T5 on the first actual launch.
  2. Not horrible, but for that kind of cash you're nearly into the Cobra kit car territory. I'd much rather have that than a Sebring.
  3. Yeah, I keep one of these in the large BOB for potential hunting purposes. It comes apart in the middle and fits in my pack like it was made for it. The gun and 300 rounds doesn't weigh more than probably 6 pounds. 22 is a little light for 2-legged predators though. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll36/op4rebel/ATD-22B.jpg
  4. This is the smart way. Im so out of shape now, I'd be at a major disadvantage in a SHTF scenario. Maybe pack a sidearm and store your "real" guns at your destination.
  5. As much as I'd like to have a "nice" gun for that role, it's SKS-M all the way for me. Plentiful ammo, reliable powerful enough and cheap enough to practice with. AK might be an even better choice for parts availability but I feel the SKS is a little more solid and makes for better accuracy. Major downsides are weight of the gun and a reasonable amount of ammo will be quite a bit more than an M4 and same number of rounds of 5.56. Also, the SKS was dirt cheap compared to the $2000 gun I'd like to have. The gun you HAVE is always better than nothing.
  6. Next up - Chewbacca Defense. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_WwuuFlhlZSg/TONscXO1XgI/AAAAAAAAAM8/EfLEorEhAe4/s1600/chewbacca_defense.jpg Seems shady as balls to me. Don't know the guy, so maybe he's not getting a fair shake here... But all signs point to shady and ignorant.
  7. No Facebook for me either. I see no need for it. I had a Myspace account back in the day, but i haven't logged in to that for probably 3 years.
  8. Have you seen this shit? Discuss. I like this channel because they feature alot of HD car content. I like most of their shows, including the british show "Wheeler Dealers", but what the fuck is this? The show is hosted by a heavily lisping Nathan Lane type guy test-driving sweet high end cars and saying a bunch of ignorant gay shit to everyone involved. Is Velocity trolling me or what?
  9. You're both missing out on the height of 1988 amenities and technology. I know you're jelly of my cable clutch, front (only) disc brakes and awesome interior.
  10. In fairness, it only makes about 350 RWHP right now (at 4300 RPM :dumb:) Still pretty quick though. BECAUSE 3000 POUNDS.
  11. Needs MOAR CLUTCH... Until then, 40 rolls against the Burgundy Blunder Coupe? :gabe: (Limited to 4500 RPM until fuel pump upgrade occurs... :fa:)
  12. I have been considering this option. It's apparently backed by Google and is free or nearly free for the first year ($6/month after that). http://www.ohiogetonline.com/
  13. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s36XsIujFj8/S9x8u2U761I/AAAAAAAAAOo/HHLJ_PT9XGM/s1600/simpsons_nelson_haha2.png He is a citizen though...
  14. "Get your tongue out of me asshole, Gary. Dogs do that."
  15. Hah. 10sec93 had one just like that in high school. It was badass.
  16. Are they 17 x 8 or 17 x 9? What size tires? Any interest in trading for "big & little" Convo-Pros? They also have fairly new tires.
  17. Despeckle filter (if available in Elements). Probably could use some other work to make it nice, but thats a quick/dirty start.
  18. Does the fan fit a fox radiator? Any idea what CFM it is? I might be interested in that too.
  19. So, you have reversed "stance"... Common Cherokee problem (that and highway litter). These get good reviews for being the right choice for leveling it back out or just a touch higher without the ox-cart ride of HD springs. Obviously, since I never installed them, I can't say for sure. I have heard that some of the very late model Cherokees already have the higher rate springs on them (particularly the Limited and County models) though that may be false. Earlier chassis models should see some lift. I would have been fine with stock ride height anyway so I went for these. Either way I'm confident it would fix sag. Are your leafs flat or close to flat? If so, you have the sag. Keep in mind the rear flares are about a half-inch or so lower than the fronts, reducing the gap slightly.
  20. Come on Cherokee People... I know you're out there. Do it. http://struckbyenlightning.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/crying-indian1.jpg
  21. Dynotune is always a good option. Maybe try Randy Barch? He has helped me endlessly with the fox project. It runs perfect now and would be making block-splitting power if I hadn't run out of fuel pump volume. He took it from barely running to running perfectly in about an hour. Guy knows his stuff. I think he tuned Anthony's car as well.
  22. They were not mounted when I bought them but the PO said he had them on stock 10 holes (15x7 I think) prior. 15x8 wheels would be more appropriate though he said they fit fine on the stock wheels.
  23. Indeed. I was pretty sure I had that one coming. :gabe: Just let me know. Thanks.
