iPhone folks - I want to get a new case. Suggestions?
twistedfocus1647545489 replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Dumpster
That's what I plan to get when I can find one in stock in black. They're just a tiny bit thicker than I'd like, but they seem to offer good protection. Edit: On a related note, has anyone tried out the "Bumper" from Apple? I like that it's low profile and looks nice, but it just doesn't seem like it would offer much protection. -

I think Audi hired Martha Stewart to write that.

I'm going to death-grip the shit out of it as soon as I get it.

Mine shipped today, so I guess I'll be seeing it next week.

Unfortunately I see shit like this all the time dealing with people on the internet (eBay specifically). There are alot of people that think they have to throw a tantrum to get what they want and act like the world is ending over a clamp or something and you're to blame for all of it. Often it becomes more about crying and placing blame than trying to even resolve the issue. I'd say you've done what you can by offering to help and explain that you didn't intentionally misrepresent the product (if you did at all). If all he wants to do is continue to cry, I think it's time to tell flat tell him that you've offered to do all you can and if that's not good enough he can piss up a rope. Edit: Noticed in the prior post it was mentioned that he's a typical Corvette guy. Nothing against you Vette guys, but there are an awful lot of the aforementioned whiners in that crowd. Certainly not all, and increasingly less these days - but they are a notorious group.

Brawndo. It has the Electrolytes your body craves.

Same here. I'm not really impressed enough with satelite radio that I see the need to pay for it. I have HD radio, so I can get a few different stations and they sound great. To be fair, there are really only a handful of HD or regular stations I listen to and the rest of the time I listen to 4GB of music off my USB. Most of the time I prefer to be my own DJ than some jackhole like Ryan Seacrest.

Best supplements to take to lose weight
twistedfocus1647545489 replied to John Bruh's topic in Dumpster
I have and lost weight (~60lbs) while taking it, but I think it was mostly placebo effect. I wasn't even taking half the dosage they recommend because it made me jittery. I reduced my calories and was a little more active, though not actually working out. I'm sure that diet change and willpower were the most effective part of my progress. I lost another 20 lbs years later without taking anything. It was harder to do, requiring real exercise, but that's not suprising. It's alot easier to go from 260 to 200 than 210 to 190 anyway. It will get harder as you near your goal weight. "Follow your dreams. You can achieve your goals. Look at me, I'm living proof - BEEFCAKE!!!" http://www.crab.rutgers.edu/~alroche/3beefcake.gif -
Why do people start threads like this? Hang yourself, etc. EDIT: Was it this car? It drove past me too. http://www4.slikomat.com/08/0514/rjq-nation.jpg

Yeah, they're on there. I always use standoffs.

He needs an AM2+ compatible board with SATA/DDR2 Memory (as most or all of them probably do). I just put an ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS in it about 2 months ago after it ate the first one. His power is spotty and he didn't have a UPS, so we figured that was the cause. I had him get a UPS after the new mobo install but it began acting strangely lately then stopped booting. I have been tinkering with it the past few days and I'm fairly certain the board is dead again. The only things we reused from the last setup was a DVD drive, HDD and PSU. Since it appears this is dead board #2 I'm calling PSU shenanigans also. I had him buy a super cheap PSU last time just to test with that we ended up not using. He still has that one, but I think I'll send him after an Antec or something decent now that I think that's the cause. It had occurred to me last time that the PSU can toast the board, but it was easy to blame his spotty home power. Fuuuuuu P.S. I'm gonna find Crazy Kenny and beat him down.

+1 I was just saying earlier today that's a pretty sweet deal. If I was in the market for a Chevy at all I'd seriously consider it. Probably a bit too much compression for Daily duty, but you could always go E85 if it would be warm weather only.

That was just the shockwave from iPhone 4s being delivered all over the city.

Nothing noticeable to me here in Delaware.

Must be Vaginitis. Your PC is still broken by the way, but I think I may have figured out the issue. On topic, I updated the Wife's 3G last night and it worked just fine the first time through.

I assume he means these: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products.aspx not this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3193/3050396099_d06f202ebf.jpg

He was referring to me. NTHER91 is a Ghey. I'm an iPhone user and I approve of this message.

Unified inbox was part of this update. The spell-check is kinda nice also.

I always said I'd never own one, but I liked the iPhone best at the time I decided to go with a smart phone. Now that the Android phones have caught up (maybe even surpassed the still current iPhone) it makes the choice less clear if you're coming in fresh from a dumb-phone. Mainly its that I've been with AT&T for years and have never had any reason to jump ship. It's also the best phone I can get on their network, so it's an easy option for me in addition to the fact that it does anything I need of it. Even if my iP4 is the best ever it's going to be "outdated" in a few months or at least by June of next year when Jerbs releases his new form of iCrack, but I'll probably hang onto it until well after my 2 year obligation is up. I didn't go with the 3Gs, as it didn't seem like enough of a change to lock myself in for 2 years, but I'll take the 4. Overall it's not only maybe the best choice for me but mostly its the easiest choice for me. I'm not one to bounce around to different providers for the phone flavor of the month. It's cool that T-Mobile/Verizon's crop of Android phones gives you some freedom to choose where AT&T's "Flagship" is specifically the iPhone. I'm sure that's the way they planned their deal w/ Apple to begin with.

That's what happened to me. I updated my old PC at home to the newest iTunes and it restored just fine and was running on 4.0 - however since I hadn't been syncing to that PC since February I mas missing some stuff. Fortunately After the phone was working again I was able to sync my apps back from the main PC that had been failing on me prior. Cliffs: Try DFU restore. If you can't get it to work (I couldn't), try DFU restore on another PC. Then sync your apps back from your primary PC after it's working again.

Yeah. Since it kept failing when I tried to finish/restore on one PC I restored to my last backup on another. The second PC restored right away without issue, other than being out of date. So I then restored my apps from the first PC and now all I'm missing is some texts. Nice huge Honda sig pic.
