  1. Maybe there will be more of them available later in the year. Stock VX Hondas pull a premium one week before Race Wars.
  2. I always liked loads on the heavier end for both personal and home defense. Really it comes down to finding a good balance. I don;t always go right to the heaviest, but I try to avoid the super-light ones. The light loads have good velocity, but I'd rather be throwing a brick at a medium speed than a pebble at a really high speed (if that makes sense). That's why I used to go with 155s most often because they are reasonably heavy but can still be loaded to a reasonable velocity (such as the Silvertips). Alot of the 180s took a really big hit in velocity, often more than I wanted to trade off. Ammo choices may be better nowadays though, it has been a while since I owned anything in .40. Also, try some different weights in your gun and you may find it shoots better with a certain weight.
  3. My home/self defense load choices were always on the heavier end. {Edit: When I used to have a .40}, I'd typically have 155 or 180s depending on the brand. I like the idea of having a bigger slug as long as its still traveling at a reasonable speed. A heavier slug will probably penetrate better as long as it's not drastically slower. I usually used Winchester Silvertips in 155gr because they are a good balance of power and were reasonably priced in boxes of 50. That being said, even the 135 is still a tad heavier than the 115gr I currently carry in my 9mm and will probably still hit harder than mine even though they are moving pretty quickly (~1400fps). I would consider 147s in my 9mm but the few I have tried just aren't as accurate in my particular gun.
  4. My first and only brand new car was a 2001 Ford Focus that I bought as a DD while I still had my Fox-body Mustang. I only had the car for about 2 weeks when I slid on ice while coming around a curve and slammed the whole right side into the guardrail. It took Germain almost 2 months to get the parts right and reassembled correctly. I actually overheard one of the guys at the body shop referring to the guy working on my car as "Crooked Bob". Anyway, a few weeks later my old Yahoo email address got hijacked and closed so I chose a new one. WreckedFocus was actually taken, so TwistedFocus it was from then on.
  5. Plus eleventy-thousand. Clean rollers exist. Sell it now that you're in the last "20 yards" and you'll always regret it. Ask me how I know... really. You'll just have to start over later. If you really hate it, ditch the body and swap. One weekends work or so. For that matter, basic bodywork and a Maaco paint job would go a long way.
  6. Maybe I'm mis-reading, but are you setting your base timing (~12deg) with the SPOUT connector out? You should be. I assume you know that, but I read it as you're setting it to 12deg with the connector in and it's 30ish with it out, which means your base timing advance is actually 30, not 12.
  7. Hey, that's 2 slow devices buddy...
  8. Why all the crying? No one said your car is slow (it clearly isn't) or that they're not worth building. It seems like you're taking some of the posts a little too personally. I think the general theme has been simply that if his goal is to go fast for less money an Integra may not be the best choice. Not that it can't or shouldn't be done, only that it will still not necessarily save him any money.
  9. Maybe double-check that the TO bearing was the correct #, or maybe it was just bad from the beginning?
  10. Usually when I have seen a TO bearing failure it's more "chirpy" than constant. I haven't driven a car with the 600, but I would expect they probably produce more gear noise than a stock T5/T45, however that doesn't explain it making noise in neutral (unless you mean coasting in neutral because the trans would still be turning). If it makes the noise while idling at a stop, its definitely not just normal gear whine.
  11. Definitely seems to indicate a TO bearing issue. Is it a constant tone or kind of "chirpy" (like crickets run amok in your bellhousing)?
  12. True. My first was an 86 Buick Skyhawk just like this. Lots of good times were had in that pile. http://www.cargurus.com/images/2008/04/23/15/43/pic-38534-tmb.jpeg
  13. Who's cup of tea is this? It just isn't mine. http://worldthrumyeyes.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/cup_of_tea_with_spoon-764610.jpg
  14. I would have felt more at ease with a "Bona Fide". I'm traditional like that.
  15. They have these at both retail stores. They're not ARP, but they're hardened steel and cheap. ARP/Moroso/etc may be a bit better, but obviously more expensive. Just make sure you get the right size. http://www.jegs.com/i/Mr.+Gasket/720/87/10002/-1 - $10 Edit, I posted after you said you already found some.
  16. Those are reducer bushings so that you can use them with heads that have the larger 1/2" bolt hole (Most aftermarket or 351W OEM). I would definitely use hardened washers, but you'll need to get flat ones like you'd get on the normal 302 set.
  17. Yeah. I would but I'm afraid my vagina might freeze.
  18. It's last minute, but I think I may roll out and spectate. Do you guys still need anything? I was going to ride the Buell down, but since it will be in the 40's in the morning I think I'll be Jeeping it. So I should have room for supplies.
  19. I remember there was a thread about it somewhere on NAXJA. I can't recall but it sounded pretty simple to wire it for both with a little modification to the harness. I want to say you need to either add an additional relay or just splice a wire. This thread may have it, but you might try searching over there. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=906034
