  1. Spoken by someone who has no idea of the process. Everything custom made for a vehicle cost thousands of dollars. Prototype parts cost big bucks and building a prototype car in any large corporation environment is an expensive endeavor. EDIT: I thought you were talking prototype car in general. I see you are talking car show type prototype car. It's just a part of the process. I guess using a prototype for advertisement also is better than it never seeing the light of day.

  3. Not Christmas, I think my birthday. But this is quite possible the worst gift ever and I'm pretty sure tops everything so far, so I'm posting it despite it not being a Christmas gift. This one time my Grandma got me a back of underwear.... they were tight shiny/silky briefs... black with leopard type prints on them. I think I was 14 or 15 at the time. Surprised? Ask anyone on here who's meet me dad's mom and they probably aren't. Non-the-less still funny, but they won't be surprised. 87 year old woman who still mow's her own grass and shovels her own sidewalk. I had to hear at her last birthday about how 'her parents raised her right, she didn't give away it for free.' AKA my Grandpa had to earn it. [/shudder]
  4. I guess one time the guys from my work saw them up in northern Minnesota where we work during the winter. This was before I started there. I haven't seen them up there yet, but really hoping I get to some day.

  6. One of the hardest things for people to understand on either side of the situation is 'no'. How and when to say it. It is probably the most important word between those two sides though. But if a supplier can't say no in an appropriate way and at an appropriate time to a customer they are doing both sides a disservice. Whether that supplier/customer relationship is a boss and subordinate, or a more typical relationship like an actual supplier and customer. If you are asked the impossible, you have to say that's impossible and then come up with a realistic plan to accomplish a realistic goal that both sides are happy with.
  7. I think I figured it out. That's to adjust the pressure in the surge tank i.e. the pressure for the in tank pump. If you make it differential to the lines going out you always have constant pressure compared to the lines going out. So you would have constant pressure difference across the fuel pumps, so they can always 'work' the same. You would still have pressure regulator(s) on the fuel line(s)/in the engine bay coming from those two outputs.
  8. What's the point of the regulator? To regulate the pressure going into the surge tank from the in tank pump? Why would you even need to do that? And then why would it need to be based off of the the difference from the lines going to the fuel rail and the tank?
  9. Stop moding your car, if you are just talking about the general concept and physically where to put it. Though I'm no fuel expert and I'm looking at the line routing and am having a hard time figuring it out... is that what you are talking about?
  10. Exactly. The very rare occasion when I used to pick a race I only do it a) when no one else is around and b) I pace them then rev them once or twice. If they don't want to go for whatever reason let it be.
  11. I feel like I watch a lot of TV and I have no idea what the fuck any of you are talking about. Worthless trash I'm guessing.
  12. Never been a fan of the notches or the LX's, but I really like this car in flat black. I understand from a weight/chassi rigidity standpoint they are 'best' fox body though. So if you are going for performance, I guess they are the way to go. Are the rims a glossy black? Look like it, ever think about getting them redone in flat to match the car.
  13. I thought that was from the car wreck or am I getting my stories mixed up?
  14. Whollllyyyy shieeettt... did that helicopter just do a loop?
  15. Doc, if you get this car, give it to Mike and get it back faster than your Mercedes. Do it. :bangbang:

  17. From the day I owned mine until the day I didn't mine was always off 1 or 2 mpg. I think that was pretty typical of the B5 s4's and a lot of cars of that era with mpg counters. Seems most new cars are usually more accurate, but something like that should be checked with the actual situation a few times before it's believed.
  18. Someone needs to punch that guy in the background of that video screaming about the car in the face.
  19. Ummm, how about no. Which game, how much? I'm sure it won't be enough to make me want to do it and that's why I didn't post it for sale. Shoot me a PM with your idea and we can work from there. I don't get it, everyone always complain's that they bough the Wii, got tired of it and steeped 'up' to a real gaming system (i.e. 360 or PS3). Yet no one wants to trade.
  20. Bump. Last time before we just go buy one and have two systems sitting here.
  21. He should try Zappos.com..... I miss read, thought he said he was going to try there and I was reiterating it.
