Joe, that's stuff is great for in between actually getting the board waxed, edges tuned. Although I've never heard of that company. You should take your board/skis in at least before every season to get them waxed, edges tuned, and in the case of skis get the release retention settings checked. I have everything to wax and tune my skis and I know how to do it and I still take my skis in at the beginning of the season to get them tuned. I'll probably take mine in before we go to Vermont too. Getting the cheapest tune in town, worrying about driving a few extra miles, is a great way to possibly ruin a nice board or skis. I definitely wouldn't trust very many people in town with my skis (and there are at least half a dozen places). Honestly you are going to get nicks and scratches on your base. It just happens, especially skiing around here (this is coming from someone who owns two sets of skis/bindings that retail for over $1k each). If you have small nicks, they will fill in with a good wax job ok. Any big scratches/gouges are a little harder, and sometimes they don't fill in. That's when you have to figure out if $50+ is worth a good base refinish. Or if you should just put that money towards a new set of skis/board. I've never heard of that version of repairing bases. I really doubt it works very well. The professional machines to refinish bases are VERY expensive. The are showing a household iron for waxing. Lol, trust nothing on that page. I have way too many hours on my carving skis this year and haven't had time to wax them.

I'll be up there at least from Sat from open to 3 and Sunday from 3 to close. If anyone goes up there, stop one of the patrolers and ask for Jesse. They will be able to radio me.

Oh noes, I broke the sarcasm meter again. I'm in Minnesota right now. Can you even find a body of standing water that's not frozen in Ohio right now? If you can find a drop of unfrozen water from Baudette, Mn. to Canada up through the Northwest Angle, I'll buy you a box of cookies. The most we would have seen is some 'shallow' standing water around the pressure ridges. On very rare occasions instead of a pressure ridge forming a gap will form, but we went all over that lake and only saw pressure ridges. -
Minnesota, but it's all flat up here and I'm working 12 hours a day.

COCK CHAOS!!!! It finally snows a good amount multiple times and I'm not in town.

Wow, I missed this post the first time I read this thread. Who in the fuck paid for that car new? And was that an option? If so, that's even worse. :barf: I hope anyone who had anything to do with the interior design on that car is homeless now.
-
Yup, that car, especially with that interior, might be worth 500 with a running motor.

TTT, someone make an offer. These would be a great ski for someone who can ski decent but wants to buy their own instead of renting. Snow should be great right now, it was when I was home a week ago. They are just taking up room in the garage right now. I'll never have a reason to use these again. These really are an 'all mountain', great all around ski. I've skied these through light powder in trees, sheets of ice, moguls, packed powder. The only reason I got new skis is because I started out skiing them carving on packed powered.

TTT, I know someone needs this thing! It's just sitting in my apartment taking up room, someone make an offer. -
Wow, a street race car that actually runs what it claims or other people claim it to on the streets. I've never seen that before.

What water? Did you miss the part where I rode it across 100+ miles of frozen water? -

That would be a blast, but as sore as I am from riding it yesterday, I'd rather focus on wearing myself out skiing. That and any pass to any ski resort is much cheaper than a snowmobile rental. But it's always a possibility. How's the trail system up there? -

I would have been pissed if we could only go 65. Buadette to Oak Island is 46 miles across a river and a lake. That ride sucked, so boring but none of the trails on the mainland have had enough snow to be groomed so they are basically un-rideable. 65 is more than fast enough for most trails though from what I've seen. -
Is that the initial of the last name of your neighbor?

Man that shit is fun. Me and 3 other coworkers rented 2006 Arctic Cat Z570's. 570cc fan cooled w/ ~60hp. Nothing special but more than enough sled for our first times. Rode from 9am to 5:30pm, ~180 miles, saw a top speed of an indicated 90. Probably saw 100+mph winds because on the way back across the lake we had a 30-40mph cross wind and saw ~80mph. That now means that my main coat (this time) and jacket (sky diving about a month ago) have seen 100+mph winds. We rode from Baudette up to an Island off of the Northwest angle called Oak Island, ate there and rode the trails on the island. Left from there and tried to ride to the Northwest Angle. Took at wrong turn at Albuquerque and ended up ~15 miles into Canada. Turned back around and found the right way. Rode the trails on the Angle and went back. About 20 miles into the trip we decided to stop and fuck around. I was turning pretty hard at a fairly slow speed (up on one ski) and braked too hard and threw it onto it's side as I jumped off. Did not damage it at all. Saw a decent amount of air quite a few times. First time I've really ridden one. I have tooled around on them a few times but I've never really had a chance to ride one. These things are a blast, I'd recommend anyone in a snowy state during the winter with a free day do this. Just remember to bundle up!

The ability to detect sarcasm is strong in the posters of this thread.

Ahhhhhahahah, that's the guy Ben took 3rd Honk from. That's funny.

You've obviously never been to any open track days and watched the way 99% of the vette's drive.

I can't believe you think all GM's are shitty cars. Well you're wrong, all Ford's are shitty cars. I can say this because I've owned one of each and worked on both of them myself.
-
I wasn't talking about you.

Depends on the day. http://www.skimadriver.com Good shit, that's pretty much how I started ~10 years ago. Started when I was in 10th grade, took one lesson. Bunch of kids, it was too cold and I wasn't dressed for it. Took way too long to learn nothing, went back inside to warm my fingers and toes up and they hurt as they were rewarming. Never took another lesson after that. Went out to ski with my friends and tried to 'plow' stop at the bottom of the first hill to find out that it doesn't really work that well. So I just taught myself how to hockey stop, falling a bunch of times at the bottom while doing so.

Did you read the rest of that sentence? He said a focus was a bad car, never did he say ford's were bad cars in general in his post. Nor was it implied by saying 'ford was retarded for putting the alternator where they did'. If he said 'ford was retarded for making shitty cars, the focus being one of them', then I could see your point. Do you realize the only reason you even care is because of your unbiased love for ford's because you work for them? If you worked for Chevy you would be in here 'agreeing' with the original poster that all Ford's are shitty (even though he never said that). You're retarded for not realizing this. That doesn't mean I'm implying that you necessarily have an IQ lower than 70. That just means you're 'retarded' in this particular instance. I own an Audi and am not anit-Audi at all, in fact I really like them. But I realize they did some bad things on my car and many other cars. It's called being realistic. If you realized this about Ford, you'd probably be able to sell a lot more cars (assuming you are a sales person).
