  1. USB>Serial has issues sometimes. We have about 4 different ones at work. With the program and hardware we use with them, one of them works sometimes. They pcmcia card for serial we have works flawlessly. If I can't find a laptop with serial (RS232) that I want, I'll just get one without and get one of those cards.
  2. The actuality of the situation is messed up.... but this is what went through my head when I read the title. "Homeless dumping, like they are staying in dumpsters and you tip them over.... sweet. Count me in."
  3. No shit, I write like that on here and in IM's sometimes (mainly in a joking/mocking manner), but I never do that in reports (always electronic), emails, resumes. No professional ever would.
  4. I know Dell's usually do, but I hate their laptops. My last work laptop was one, and I will never own one. I've been thinking about getting a laptop for a while. If I can't find a brand/laptop I like with one, I'll just get a card for serial. But I'd rather have it built in. Wondering which brands (generally speaking) have serial ports built in? TIA.
  5. Brake fluid from my first link. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_brakefluid_1a.shtml That link also has a great list of a bunch of high performance brake fluids, their dry and wet boiling points, and cost/unit. I have ATE Super Blue in my car right now. I'll be replacing it sometime in the spring with either the Valvoline Synthetic or Motul 600, depending on if I feel like ordering it and how much I feel like spending on it. For the price and availability the Valvoline can't be beat as long as you aren't road racing your car.
  6. I'm missing your point. Where did he say not to buy a Ford? Oh, you meant 9t1GVR4? Maybe you should quote him.
  7. http://www.z-i-n-o.com/images/giggity.jpg We need to sit down and make some definite plans so I can call/email some places and figure out if I can get discounts/free passes. Brandon, thanks for the call last night. Sorry I wasn't in town/out there, it would have been really fun watching you fall on your ass. How did you do?
  8. Screen size? 15"? HD size? Built in 10/100? Wireless is just b or b/g? Graphics card, memory amount? Comes with a floppy drive? Serial port? # of USB ports? Specific model number might help if you have it, (i.e. 1415-sXXX)?

  10. FUCK ASS!!!! I hate not being home, especially when there's real snow that has fallen. I miss these guys. http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/3967/dscf08962dl5.jpg
  11. Yup, one of the (very) few common problem areas in that engine.
  12. That's hilarious. I had Joe's cat sticking it's paw down the back of Berto's pants the other day with the laser pointer.

  14. I read that last bit of you're first post and took it to as she went out there. Kind of missed the part where the first flights were just you earlier in your incohesive ramblings. At least you admit it was just unlucky.
  15. I've flown dozens of times and I've had a delay from a broken plane once. Just this winter I will have flown on 18 different flights and not a single delay. Only a few times did we sit a little longer than expected being deiced. Only hickup we had was on the way back into Columbus one time. Pilot saw some shear winds while attempting to land two different times and pulled back up. After the second attempt he got the warning light for fuel and diverted to Dayton. We refueled and got right back to Columbus. Added about two hours onto the flight and that had nothing to do with the planes condition. We fly through Minneapolis-St. Paul up to International Falls. I would think if the issue were cold I would have experienced it. I'm sure there are people on here that have flown a lot more than I have that can say pretty much the same thing. She just got unlucky.
  16. That place is annoying. BTW Eric, food is pretty expensive at Bone Fish.
  17. Only it's faster... that and everyone knows ass babies are the best.
  18. ^^That's FFR's new car, the GTM. I'm in love with it.
  19. My guess is just about anything 'north' of Denys on 33 is going to maybe not let you in with ice AXES and crampons. Eric, that's one of the dumber ideas I've read here in a while, and that's saying a lot. Why not just park, climb around, go back to the car, drop off the gear and drive over. Is that really that hard?
  20. I was also wondering how (as far as how it's cooked) she ordered it.
  21. Wow, that's kind of surprising. I guess it can happen anywhere. It's one of the only two places in Columbus I will go to specifically for fish. Great martini list too. Not sure what they have on draft, I love beer but I'm a vodka junkie at heart so I'll usually get a (few) martini(s) when I go there. IIRC they are only open for dinner, something to be aware of. Why would you take your rope and ice axes in with you?
  22. Eric, don't listen to these fools talking about FM Transmiters. Crappy sound even if you don't have to worry about the other issues anyone else has brought up. If you can find an 'ipod adapter' and you want to drop the dough, do it. It will be nice to have control from your radio. Otherwise, give me a call, I can figure something out.
  23. Never knew people did that (the external fuel cell for nitrous). Makes a lot of sense though, I had just never heard of it. About how much nitrous would that much fuel (3qt) get you through?
