  1. Honestly, why must the public know everything? There's probably a lot of stuff in there that paints a poor picture of the US due to the 'colateral damage' of their methods. I thought this was a pretty good read: http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/26/opinion/granderson-fast-furious/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 And just to clarify, this program has spanned the Bush and Obama administration.

  3. Very nice. That's a really clean bike.
  4. Very interesting. I never knew that you could actually do that and get paid.
  5. Brilliant! I would use it if I could, but that's way outside my area. I work on safety systems, mostly advanced sensing using camera technology and none of my company's products would make your idea possible. It's funny though; as obsessed as I am with cars, only ~half my idea's are automotive related (and a lot of those are now company property). I've pitched some idea's (like a couple phone apps/social networking) to friends of mine, trying to get them to go in with me. Usually they think it's a great idea, but are even more skiddish than me. The sad reality is it would probably take me getting laid off to have enough time to bring one to fruition myself. I would love to hear about how you approach companies and pitch your idea's without them just kicking you out and stealing it. If it's not patented you basically have no protection, right?
  6. This is actually a good idea, and one that I think could be done in the near future. You can already have all your driver settings automatically configured based on what key fob is in your pocket, so it's just a next step of creating a portable "parameter list" that can be moved from model to model. The only problem is the electrical architecture of cars is constantly changing, so it would take some integration and additional testing.
  7. The economy is pretty tough right now and lots of people are on government assistance. Start giving blowjobs for food stamps. The market is growing. That's the only one you'll get for free.
  8. This is my problem. Lots of idea's, an entrepreneurial mind, but risk adverse. Better get back in my cube...
  9. The "common unibody SUV" program started when Chrysler was still owned by Diamler. The idea was to share the platform with the ML, GC, and Durango. Development was pretty far along when the Diamler/Chrysler split occurred, so it continued as planned.
  10. "Borrowed," no. Co-developed, yes. That sucks. They're really nice trucks.
  11. http://jalopnik.com/5920041/how-the-internet-rallied-to-help-a-verbally-abused-bus-driver After only one day on the internet, people have responded.

  14. Is there a reason you always quote me, then repost my sig?
  15. I did not see that. If he truely spent that much he's doing it wrong. Mine was being built for road racing, which it's very capable of doing well, even with stock power.
  16. Show what ever you got. I used to have a blue mica 03.5 MSP and went by the same name on the mazda forum. I still miss that car sometimes. I should have kept it and built the motor.
  17. Post picks of the cars. Did you or ForceFed belong to the Mazdas247 forum? I remember someone from the Dayton area by the name of ForceFed posting a lot.
  18. You'll never hear about anything from his shop because they're covertly tuning cars...dynamically.
  19. It sounds like his UGR Lambo friend is his second customer. The more I think about the name, the more I think it's awful. Also, given the fact that he already has a banner, logo, domain name, etc., he's obviously been planning this for a while. Why not pull your car out of IPS long ago if this was the intent?
  20. Someone needs to PS Scumbag Steve's hat on that pic. It would look authentic.
  21. At least there will at least be one shop out there that can properly build a twin turbo exhaust system so that one turbo's parts don't get sucked back on the other's turbine outlet.
  22. Sounds cool. Good luck up here. There are a few other CR members up here too.
