It wont get cancelled. I'd bet that a certain shop owner will get some customer cars to go. The golf tournament does take away some of the people, but not all.

Saw this video earlier today. It's funny that it has a centrifugal blower and runs so well. I say funny because all I ever hear and read from the dumb ass so-called car people online is that those blowers are junk and are a waste of money...hahahahaha. Some of the quickest cars I've been around have that style blower. I like it.

I've been 140 at the track without a bar and I look back at that and wonder why I would tempt fate. I need to get my car up to speed as far as safety equipment. Not worth it to die hitting a wall when it could have been prevented.

Yeah, getting t boned at 200mph is bad news. Sad to see another racer lose his life.

If the limit is 900 wheel in a 4500lb car then they did something right when they designed those. That's a bunch of power in a heavy car. The torque cant be good on them either. I think we will find out relatively quickly just how far they can be pushed in a demon as people aren't being shy about modding them and then running them hard.

Friend of mine had an NA C5Z that made 470 wheel. It was lowered and drove like a damn go cart...in a good way. I would go into a corner at a speed that would have rolled most cars and the vette took it with little to no effort. Brakes were fantastic as well. Very well sorted car for sure. I would love to have one.

One other thing here is that the track prep will be 10x better at Kilkare than it has ever been at a rental at trails. If Charlie has anything to do with it he will make sure that it will be ready to go.

Hell yes its impressive as is. We are on the same page now. It's a factory built car that is meant for drag racing, but seems to be awfully cozy to drive on the street too. Times must be tough for people to find problems with a production car that runs low 10s/high 9s stock. Low 9s with not much more.

Every ounce of me wants to give you shit for getting an "auto", but it sounds like a fun car being dual clutch. Maybe I just need to ride in one to see how it really feels. I still prefer my fun car to be of the manual variety, but my daily is an auto. With all of my newly found nerve issues I may have to stay auto for a daily. Who knows.

Looks like Johnny Bravo. Big upper body with tiny legs...it looks horrible. Definitely serves a purpose and I'm ok with it because of that alone.

So it doesnt take 1000+ wheel hp to see high 140s trap speed. The 915 wheel was on a bigger blower pulley and race gas. Now it has an even smaller pulley and e85. Over 1000 wheel. Just a simple game of power to weight.

Hmmm...a do all actual true street car contest. Not a bad idea. I have nothing for it, but it should be interesting to see.
