  1. Through my four years of commuting through lancaster because I went to OU, I always thought that it was a good place to get rear-ended. I have seen some nice cars there though and have been piped many times.

Hijack: Hey ttemper, did you autocross your talon at the OVR test 'n tune a couple weeks ago?

Edit: No flame intended to all the Lancaster citizens but with the peak hour traffic, stop and go's, and the apparent lack of attention that many drivers give it seemed to be waiting to happen.

  3. I have experience with Mac, Dell, Toshiba. The Mac is my girlfriends and I am not so much a fan but from what she says if you want to do video work it is the way to go. Plus it is more resistant to spyware and viruses because when any software is to be installed it always brings up a dialog for administrator user name and password.

Ok, the toshiba and the Dell. Out of the two, the Dell is my favorite. I just sold it however on ebay because of the toshiba. The toshiba is supplied to me by work so the Dell didn't get much use, so I sold it because it was just sitting and depreciating in value. The Dell was fast and I am happy with their service. My harddrive went bad and they sent me a new one and picked up my old one from my apartment. I only paid for shipping. But here is the kicker: The new one they sent me was an IBM 40GB and my old one was some kind of 30GB, the IBM HD kicked total ass. Plus they loaded all my software for me, once I got it all I had to do was slide the old one out and slide in the new one, it took less than 5 minutes.

My toshiba has some minor issues (it is one of the satellites mentioned above) but they are both under factory recall and they are not major enough to break my productivity to send back in (plus I couldn't get on CR). It is pretty fast though, fairly light and comfortable to type on. So its not a bad choice

All 3 of the laptops I have are pretty much desktop replacements. After using the Dell and the Toshiba I would probably not go back to a desktop, although there is a Sony Vaio sitting behind me that is the fastest computer I have ever used. I had a very good experience with Dell, I would recommend them if you can find a laptop to suit your needs. As for my Toshiba, its not bad. It is a couple years old so I would think that they have their issues worked out by now. All four of us here in my office have toshibas and nobody has complained. I am slated to get a new one in a couple months though so my hand-me-down toshiba will see its 3rd owner. I hope this turned out to be a little more useful than some incessant babling.

Funny you should mention that. I have a 9 month old black lab and when we went to pick up my truck I had a situation on my hands. My dog had me, Rolla's dog, and herself wrapped up in her leash! It was awesome.
  5. Oh and I just wanted to add that with Rolla you can get the flexibility and down to earth service you can't get at some big corporate place. Most places lock the gates up at five-point-zero o'clock but I was able to drop off and pick up my truck well past 5:00.
  6. Some of you may recall that my window got smashed out a while back. Rolla told me to give him a call so I did and we set something up. Swapping out the window was a relatively simple task but he got the part, put it in, and cleaned the dirt and broken glass out of my truck for less than what I could've found the part myself. Plus, if it wasn't for the salvage yard sending the wrong glass he would have had it done in within 24 hours.

I definitely recommend Rolla's place to anyone. As a matter of fact when I can scrape together the fundage and pick up a set of subframe connectors I am going to have him install them and then this Mustang will really start to become the complete package.

Rolla's way is definitely the right way.

graemlins/thatfunny.gif I was waiting for that. Its a big-bore is it not?

Edit: Oops I didn't see your last post, my questions is answered.

  8. My local post office has boxes too. I would suggest using wadded up newspaper as a packing material as well because its cheap and plentiful. Boxes and packing adds up quick especially if you bubble wrap things. I generally charge a flat shipping and handling fee that is a little over what shipping would be to help cover packing, ebay fees, and paypal fees, however, I have had to eat a fair amount of the selling costs anyways.
