Rob, Where is your shop located?
  4. Bucky, I am sorry to hear about your loss. -Rick
  5. Hal, If you want to sell please let me know.
  6. You are not going to get much a stringray vette for under 5K. Expect a full restoration will be needed. What I mean is the frame might be rusted out. What year are you looking for? The most affordable ones are 75 to 80 and these running will be around 10K. Believe me 10K is too much for these but they are not dropping in value. If you are looking for the chrome bumper ones, expect to be in between 15K to the sky is the limit. I do vette restoration as a hobby(no LS1 type of stuff ,old school), if you are serious pm and I can assist.
  7. +1 you are right, thanks for catching that. Did you still spray with the non HVLP type or use HVLP? If so, was it difficult to get use too? I use my primer gun a lot which is a non HVLP.
  8. It is alive......... Are you still running a stock type T5 transmission? What type of hood do you have to hide the stuff?
  9. Sure, the whole junk(salvage) yard pricing is about negotiation. If you want to pay retail, buy new.
  10. +1 for Evercoat for the thin glaze. Believe it or not, I used NAPA fiberglass filler for the bigger areas
  11. I use Devilbiss(what I learned on) but I have a SATA that I havent used it. I am a hobbiest, but I have three guns I used to paint (1-primer gun, 2-color/clear coat guns). My SATA is a HVLP, I have not played with it enough yet.
  12. Generally speaking for foreclosures through the Sheriff departments, you bid and win, its yours. Its is that quick.
  13. Joe, There is no viewing day for the Delaware Sheriff auction. You can view the property, but you have no access in. Our newest property was on the sheriff website and we were prepared to buy at the auction, but on the the day of the auction, the property was scratched from the auction. Many of the properties are removed the day or day before the auction because the person has up to the auction date to work things out with the lender. In our case the person who was in foreclosure made a deal with the lender. We worked out a deal with the lender and made a short sale and bought the property with a clean title. If you are buying a property at the sheriff auction, you need to make sure their are no additional mortgages against the property(clean title) or you will have another situation to work through. My wife is a real estate attorney if you have questions, I can forward you her contact info.
  14. Sounds interesting, I dont know which vette i will take.
  15. Miller, I can bring one of my cars out in the spring. They dont go out when their is salt on the roads.

  17. Wow...... I dont know what to say....
  18. Are you building in Delaware county? We bought our land and then built our house a few years later. The way we did it was to get a construction loan from the Delaware County Bank. Once you finish building your house, the construction loan can be rolled into a conv loan. The Delaware County Bank was very helpful when we built our house in Delaware county.
  19. We are in process of setting up my wife's law practice. I was partner in another business a few years ago(jobber shop) and it was quite successful. The whole time when I was running the other business, I kept my full time job. My insurance/heathcare was taken care by my fulltime employeer and I made great money in my 'spare' time. The key is keeping your costs in line. This is how you make real money. Sure, I worked a lot of hours, but I didnt have kids back then and this paid for the extras in life. For the past year, we bought another property nearby and I have been re-furbishing it. It has been quite a bit of work and we are just about ready to open. My wife is an attorney that has been working for another attorney and it time for her to set up her own practice. She has over 15 years in probate(estate planning), business incorporation, real estate, and tax.
  20. Kevin, You IROC rocks, it will rock more once your have your engine back in.
  21. Welcome to the geo thermal club. I am not familiar with the desuper heater. My geo thermal system is tied into the hot water heater. Is this what you are talking about or this an additional piece of equipment?
  22. C5 with a clean title. The frames on the C5/C6 are hard to get fixed correctly. If the C6 was a only a few grand, I would do it, but I believe even the salvage ones are not that cheap at this time. I would stay away from a salvage title unless it is dirt cheap.
