  1. Yeah, I really dont the stock rims either, but the car is 100% stock and original. I am planning to get some ZR1 type of rims in the future and oh coarse Borla exhaust(simple bolt ons that will not hurt the future value). Borla's sound soo good.
  2. Yes, I still have the Z28. I got the brakes finished last spring and I couldnt get it to start, so I replaced the fuel pump and that is where I left it for now. I will get back into after I finished the front fender on the 69 vette. I am presently repairing a 2-3 inch chip and will repaint the front fender. The 87 wil be the equivalent as my 5 liter mustang. I drive the 5 liter on nice days, my wife will drive the 87 vette on nice days. When I go to vette events outside Delaware/Franklin county, I will drive the 87. The 69 only get 9-10 miles per a gallon and it only driver status at this time(paint is not good enough for shows). Next year, I will repaint the 69. My brother and I are building a professional paint booth so I will be able to do high end repaints and my 69 vette is on the radar and the other projects( Z-28, Chevelle, etc). I can and have painted in my pole barn, but it will be easier in a booth.
  3. No, I dont know anyone named Guy.
  4. ttt Spring is coming......
  5. All, I just purchased another vette, this vette is an 87 that is in outstanding condition. This wasnt a hard deal, my father in law has owned it for the last 8 years and I know the last owner before him. I really didnt want to buy it, but the wife wanted it, so we know how that goes. I rather had bought a ZR1. I have been the wrench on it for the last 13 years and there has been no problems. Anyhow, I am the third owner on a red on red 87 vette with 55,000 miles. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v167/RAS69/f1cf6fd0.jpg Also, my 74 vette is still for sale.
  6. Excellent, please post more infomation and the address of your shop.
  7. +1 for M+M, Mike is a class act and know's the stuff.

    79 camaro z28

    Pictures please of the Z28.
  11. Mark, I understand that these are not show quality. What do you mean, not show quality, is the clear coming off or is there chips on the rims. I am still for looking for 2 pony wheels for some drag radials. Will you be willing to break the set? Thanks, Rick
  12. I took my bike to Mobile Cycles Works in Ashley. I dont have the number, but is located in Delaware county in Ashley.
  13. +1 for the Corvetteforum.com The Corvette Action Center is a good second. http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/ Welcome to the Corvette community. I have three vettes, a 69 BB vert, 74 t-top and an 87.
  14. Excellent Brian, I cant wait to for the Friday nights in the spring.
  15. C6 Z06 This is the badest A$$ car to date that a person can buy. I have nothing against the C5 Z06 which would be the next choice for Wease, but the C6 Z06 is the stuff. All other cars, try to imitate the vette, but a vette is a vette. The vette has the handling, the power and the look. The mustang cobra is nice, but it is not a vette. The C6 Z06 is pricey, but this is Wease's money, not mine. I will buy in due time.
  16. I would be interested in viewing this. Thanks,

    Vince young

That is good for all if Vince goes pro, with Vince out of the picture, we could have three strong Heisman candidates, Troy Smith, Ted Ginn JR , and Antonio Pittman.
  18. I was 29 when we had our first child and 30 when we had our second. It is true that priorities change. I loved my hobbies and love my family. I still have some time for my hobbies but not as much. I cherish the time with my family. The kids are only small once. We assist in school and I even coach/assist in their sports. My wife and I wanted to have children in our late 20's. The reason was we both wanted to finish college and in her case, law school and get a start on our career path. We were blessed with having our daughter quickly after our son was born(15 months apart). I agree with others, I didnt want to be one of those parents that we near 60 at the kids high school graduation.
  19. No, I havent seen it, I hang out on the C2/C3/C4 forums. Thanks for the infomation.
  20. Pictures of the Buick please... I know the feeling, that is why I built a pole barn. I still have to sell the 74 vette before I pick up another vintage automobile.

    New company.

I left UUNet 4 years ago and now it is a part of the company I work for.
  22. After 2 hours of messing with it, I trailered the car to Stout's in Delaware. I believe I couldnt get the air out from the ABS pump. Dan told me that he was going to use a pump. With all of the tools I have, I dont have a vacuum pump for brakes, I never had to use one before. Thanks to all who provided some insite.
  23. I have a 97 Buick that had a brake line blow out from the ABS pump to the left front caliper(due to brake lines rusting out, on a car with 30k miles??). I made a new line and replaced, but I am having a tuff time bleeding the system. I have done my brake jobs on the older non computerized stuff, but it seems I still have air in the ABS pump because the pedal still hits the floor. I am trailering the car up to Stout's in Delaware tomorrow, but I would like to know what the procedure is on GM cars that have ABS. Do I need a special pump or what steps am I missing? Thanks, Rick
