  1. I think after seeing that I'll nominate my pet rock for congress. I'm sure it will stand up to corruption.
  2. Does everything have to be an argument on the internet? Not intending it for sure. If I had a enough in gold coins to unload that I'd be paying cap gains I wouldn't take them to Allens, everyone knows Gonzo's is the place for that type of transaction anyway.
  3. Individuals sell cars for $100 all the time to avoid taxes. Not saying its right just saying its pretty standard.
  4. I'd claim face value and stick to my guns if questioned. "Oh I could have sold them for a lot more? Sucks for me, I deposited them into an online bank account"
  5. Capital gains are just that, tax on the $$$ you gained. If someone brings my wife a gold coin or a silver dollar they get the value of the denomination printed on the coin. Stupid mistake and she takes them to Allens coin shop asap. If your gonna do anything with large sums of capital gains better do it before 2010 ends. cap gains tax is going up per the bush tax cut way back in `00-01 expiring.
  6. Mines a walkout. Though having it not count would be better for taxes.
  7. I have pretty much that exact same house and I'm over 3600 sq ft. 2500+ above ground and 1200+ below ground. Looks very similar to my Wayne Homes Savanah model. I'm taking note of the finished basement because I'm gonna be doing mine soon and am getting ideas. Right now I've only got about 200sq ft of it finished and am using it as my office.
  8. wedding photography You can look down the scroll list on this site http://www.columbusbridalexpo.com/ Can't say I know any of them, but there are DJ's on that list.
  9. I'm scouting around my desk for cards of some that I've worked with. No luck yet, but maybe I'll find some. My little girl likes to play in my papers and I keep it a pretty good mess anyway. I try to get cards from the other vendors at bridal shows and weddings that I do.
  10. 28-135 - $250 75-300 - $100 50mm 1.8 - $50
  11. I'm selling my 28-135, 75-300, and 50mm
  12. I'm gonna say from a professionals point of view that Acer makes very nice monitors. I have 2 19" ones that I use in my wedding photography business and out of the box they were nearly perfectly calibrated and both are balanced well to each other. Also ZERO hot or dead pixels. Being that I use them professionally I check them with color charts and can say that after initial calibration I haven't had to touch them in almost 1 year. I play FPS and other games as well and notice no bad effects.
  13. If you have the funds to cover a check they will not place a hold on it. Otherwise yes you'll get a hold placed on it and they are required to make $100 available at that point. The guy at the counter doesn't always know what he's talking about. My wifes a bank manager and runs into that problem all the time.
  14. Verizon's been great for us. Zero issues ever and everything works great though a couple times per year the data network goes down which is kinda annoying when you do all your work through data on your phone.
  15. Heard about this on NPR today and googled for info. http://theteamsportsnetwork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23472 The Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters. I haven't fished for probably 18 years (just don't care,) but would still suck if no one can anymore.
  16. This will actually make me buy a console.
  17. I've been playing BF1942 again lately. My favorite was Enemy Territoy. But I do love the size of battlefield.
  18. My Dad, Brother, and I have gone on one of the large tour boats. It seemed fun for them (I'm not really into fishing.) The company was like 40min south of the main area of south mrytle.
  19. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. You could probably pick up jobs from enough used car dealers around to do it as a hobby easily.
  20. I agree, but I really hate pretty much all newer styles myself. They have updated a lot of models to what you see in newer developments as well.
  21. I've had many contractors say Wayne Homes is one that you won't have problems with. We built with them and the only complaint was not their problem, but a known problem with Lennox heat pumps which we got resolved easily. 2.5yrs later everything is still just like new, no squeaks, leaks, or problems with settling.
  22. Damn libs, my 21mo old daughter gets hands smacked when she gets grabby with things she can't have. She'll be fine and a much better person than if I let her get away with it. By the time she can talk to us pretty well maybe 4 she'll understand we mean business and in most cases you can then reason with her. It takes effort and most just don't get it. No real point in arguing though. Its america, we all can and will do it differently, thats how things work here.
  23. Just got back as well and only needed state issued ID to get back on the boat from Nassau. Not sure about getting on board from florida though. My wife did the transactions at the desk while I chased our "just learned to walk" daughter around the lobby.
  24. DATA is down south of Morse Rd, but works fine near 270 on the north end. I was having a fun time today driving in and out of service at work.
